Xfinity Store: 831 Lancaster Dr NE ste 173, Salem, OR 97301 We just walked out of this store to see about new phones (S26) as an upgrade that we were lead to believe from their emails...."Get the S26Plus On Us". Not so. This is nothing short of Bait and Switch. The salesman there had no explanation as to why they were sending us bogus emails about about upgrading. None of what the emails said was true. It's all a scam. It would have jacked up our phone bill by quite a bit and the salesman acted like he really didn't a damn that were lied to. While I have a sneaky feeling most folks are not crazy about Xfinity / Comcast the service provider (#1), I'm just solely focusing on the store. While the rest of Willamette Town Center (#2) sits in silence, this Xfinity Store has nothing but a constant flow of people coming in and out. That's what happens when an internet monopoly rules the town. The store itself is reminiscent of an Apple Store: clean, bright, and bustling with activity. They even have eager employees that are there to help with the upsell of their various products and plenty of stuff around to entice the potential patron into a paying customer. For me, I was trying to close out an account for someone else. The associates on hand were extremely professional with me and gave me no hassle about trying to remain a part of their service. They were incredibly helpful and got me to where I needed to be in no time. After taking my equipment and giving me a receipt for my return, it was easy breezy. I would prefer to leave a ZERO rating. My experience is from having to move my 93 year old dad from his apartment to assisted living. He's the customer, but I was the one trying to accomplish switching his service from phone/internet/cable to just cable. First, trying to find the location of the store listed on line was a bust - the store was no longer at the address. Second, trying to get a live person on the phone was almost an act in futility and a significant wait on hold; and then after a half an hour wait, the agent was of no help on accomplishing the change - she said we had to go to a store because I was not authorized to make changes. Third, found the new physical location. The xfinity website did not indicate anything about an appointment. Got to the store and waited 45 minutes while watching people coming in behind me get helped. I asked the greeter if I needed an appointment and was assured that 'walk-ins' would be helped. Note, this location did not have restrooms or nearby access and husband had to drive to a McDonalds. Fourth, we couldn't move Dad's equipment with him to the new place and that dated clunky white remote really suited him. New equipment was issued and the new remote was black buttons with black numbers on a black body. The buttons were also so flat on the body that my Dad could not only not see what numbers he was pressing, but could not get tactile confirmation he was pressing the button. Also, his change in service to just internet led to a price increase. No discounts for super seniors either. Fifth, he gave up watching T.V. because he had so much trouble with the remote - he was 93 and now stuck in a bed and not able to watch golf in a new living situation. Even the aides at the facility could not get him squared away. Grrr. Sixth, after two months in the new place, my Dad passed away; but xfinity was not done pissing me off. Since his service was discontinued early, he was entitled to a prorated refund. Guess what - it came in the form of a prepaid card. We can't even find a way on line to see what it's worth. What an obnoxious way to complicate dividing an estate. No doubt this is another way for xfinity to make money because many customers will just stick that stupid card in a drawer and never use it. I really really dislike and triple detest this company and would never ever sign up with them. Overall, one of the more shameful businesses in this country - right up there with those scumbag scamming-your-grandma-for-her-bank- account-information callers. read more

Nice store front in the Lancaster mall now called the Willamette Town Center. The store is usually crowded even during covid times. It's nice and bright slick design. They have a small display of select phones and tablets available. I switched to xfinity to lower my combined bill and get internet speeds of 600, which is amazing compared to the poor service and very low speed internet I was getting from centurylink. read more

Karla, the manager at the Keizer location, treated us horribly. They completely messed up our account and refused to take accountability for their actions. Karla tried placing the blame back on us and then on the employee who helped us, saying she'd take away his commission. He was trying his best, although ultimately was responsible for the errors. She ended the discussion by telling us to leave the store. We are truly disappointed by her lack of professionalism (rolling eyes) and are very disheartened to be asked to leave an establishment! Nothing was resolved and now we are stuck with their mess up on our account. read more

Bottom line the store is decent and the workers are good but the company is just like every other telecommunications company, overpriced, increase the prices quietly over time and if you call to reduce the price back to the original price they require you to sign another annual contract so if you leave before the year is up and the promotion is over they get all their money back by charging you a fee. read more

Worst service ever!!! They keep sending me emails to "upgrade my TV box" turns out I've had an old box which should have been upgraded a long time ago. I was online with some person on a chat for over an hour who claimed that they would reduce my bill by around $40+ - turns out they were lying and my bill is the same. They have been charging me extra for stuff I don't use. Then the technician who came claimed I'm getting 1200 megabites with the "new" box - I'm only getting 400!!! And now my Smart TV keeps giving me an error message that the TV box is not connected to my Smart TV. I tried to contact them or to get an appointment online but I keep going in circles. I wish there was another wireless service provider I could use in my area. Xfinity are thieves and the worst customer service I have every experienced. read more

I was helped about ten minutes after entering, which I think was pretty good. I got half of my problems resolved, but they could not resolve the rest. I believe they could have been more helpful. They had an attitude like they knew everything and would not actually take the time to understand the issue. wish I could give 0 stars. Basically the only internet provider in the area, so we're stuck with them. I have called over a dozen times in the past 4 years, attempting to be on an unlimited data plan... each time I've been assured that the plan is what we want, and it won't go above a certain $$ amount. Every month we're charged more and more and MORE. And a lot of the time, the internet doesn't work at all! Then, when attempting to get onto the app or website to look at details, nothing works/loads. Even on the desktop computer that is quite literally hardwired connected to the internet. Using the automated system on the phone or website is trash, because nothing gets resolved and no matter what I do, I cannot talk to an actual person unless I go INTO the store and wait for a few hours in line. On the few off chances that I HAVE gotten to talk to human on the phone, I end up getting a sexist man that doesn't listen to me, yet listens to my boyfriend , dad, or brother if I pass the phone over! Xfinity has a monopoly of the general area for internet, so I would at least expect some competent service. I'm tired of over paying $20-$200 because I get ignored. This review might be the only thing that gets someone to fix anything for us. read more

Switched to xfinity from my old internet provider on sept 4th. Tyler P. Made things super easy to be able to switch and bring my phone and my husbands phone over to xfinity as well. He was quick to answer any questions I had. The store was clean, well organized and the staff there is respectful and professional. There was an issue bringing one of the phones over and Tyler was immediately on the phone solving the issue, less than 10 minutes on the phone with my old carrier and everything was good to go to bring both lines to xfinity. I'm going to begin this review by simply reviewing some basic history with this ISP provider. When I purchase my home, 12 years ago, I hired Comcast to install internet into my home. However, prior to my internet being installed I came home to a crew destroying my entire yard with a Ditch Witch. When I said guys, what the hell are you doing, I have a wedding reception here this weekend, the supervisor looked at his paperwork and said oh we have the wrong address and acted as if they were liable for nothing. Obviously they were wrong, and I dealt with that and that situation was resolved. About a week ago, a representative from a local slumlord operation came down my neighbor's driveway and performed a hit and run when he drove over my retaining wall crushing it and utility box as well. This is what started this chain of events and motion. I should also mention that I'm preparing to sell my home in a recently completely refurbish the home putting well over $100,000 into it to prepare to put it on the market that's not great for any buyer or seller. Several days after the hit and run on my property which left live electrical wires hanging out for the neighborhood kids I went down and began chipping off and repairing or beginning to repair my stucco wall. I put a rough patch on it to keep moisture out and moved on. The next day I came home was spray paint all over my retaining wall that was just patched and worse than that my entire Bush Garden which ranged about 8 ft wide and 25 30 ft long was completely trampled and spray painted with orange paint. Did I mention I'm getting ready to sell my house and will be taking Ariel shots as it's an expensive property? I would like to add that I was raised in a family background in road construction and framing and residential construction. So it's safe to say I've been around for a while. I'm not sure what kind of company comes out walks all over a homeowners bushes destroying them and in the process spray paints them then walks over what he just spray painted leaving the bushes sideways and the markings completely inaccurate? Never ever seen that. Either way these are the people we're dealing with. So after attempting to deal with that situation and removing all the debris they left me by destroying my shrubbery the next crew came out and what do you know while they were trying to get my neighbors Broadband or whatever running the same people who just destroyed my property cut my line. Who would have guessed that marking over bushes that you trample wouldn't correctly indicate where wiring is? Now comes Comcast directly, I have two Representatives come out to my home after I inform them that my wiring was most likely cut after this crew was out there digging and we walked through the property and devised a game plan the gentleman seem very nice we agreed on a game plan which was going to be just too leave what had been done, dig up the dirt which they had already done to put in a new conduit and line there to complete the job. So obviously, at this point, this is become a real aggravation as this all started with a hit and run on my property and we have a history so to speak, Comcast and myself regarding property damage. Anyway, the guys agreed that we're going to go down and dig up the trench and bury the wire and they seemed cool and I saw no reason to have them do it so being very polite I said just go ahead and leave it guys, no reason for you to dig it up twice and we parted ways. Keep in mind my retaining wall is still all smashed up and one of the patch areas someone stood on it, which collapsed it. Obviously I'm not going to fix it over and over and over so I'm trying to figure out what's Happening Here. So, earlier this week I come home and not only is there more paint everywhere but my Hillside has been trampled up and down while Comcast employees or affiliates had been again spray painting through another set of bushes, about the only set I have left alive on that side of the house, right through a massive tree root that I have I don't have no idea what they thought they were going to do there, and my entire yard. Kind of doesn't sound like what we agreed to does it. This is already been verbose enough so I'm not going to continue on and on with the blow by blow but let's just say yesterday I contacted Comcast on three separate occasions beginning at like 6:00 in the morning and said before anybody else came out of my property a supervisor needed to call me as I can't have this damage going and if they think they need to do this on my property I was simply find a new ISP. I can't put thousands more into the home to repair damage for a damn cable line. 24 hours went by, actually I still haven't heard anything. Today, while I was at a neighbor's home, I was alerted by my security system to see two gentlemen moving on to my property one of them was literally hacking around and directly on top of the main root system for a spruce I have in my yard... read more

By a quirk I entered this store the first day it was open. I was vetted outside for my business there and then let into the store when physical separation was adequate. I was being charged for a modem I had returned and Jeff Kuenle fixed me right up. In the months that followed the bills reflected exactly what Jeff had promised. I understand that this is an industry in which the customers can really get riled but give these associates a chance! Complete garbage service. They charge for services you don't order, refuse to credit the account back for what you're owed. Then when you try to transfer service, they'll put in the wrong address, and cause you to miss an entire weekend of working from home. Then make you wait for 2 hours in store just to tell you "we'll let you know" when you try to find out when your actual installation will take place, only to schedule it for a time when you can't be at home. This company has a virtual monopoly on the Salem market, and they know it. So they treat their customers like shit, and rip them off endlessly. And yet, if you need fast internet, you have no option but to endure this treatment. These people are the epitome of what's wrong with this country. read more

Customer service was absolutely horrible. The older Hispanic worker at Lancaster Comcast was unreasonable and very unprofessional. They try to rip you off and get your money. Been a loyal customer for few years with good deals and then started charging me double the price. I went in to ask why and if there are other option plan and all they offered was 10$ off and kept pushing for me to change my phone plan to theirs to get "better deals". I asked if I can do new customer plan if the person that was going to live with me signed up and they said no because I was in the house with them. Very unreasonable and unprofessional. Again, I only dealt with the older Hispanic person but I'm sure other workers are very nice and reasonable. I called centurylink and they even said that they were trying to get our money.
