Northside electric installed solar panels on my roof, a Tesla power wall battery to store the energy to serve as back up during outages and a Tesla charger. Their team was respectful communicative cleaned up perfectly each day and delivered top-notch workmanship with great value. I highly recommend them. read more

Northside has been great, they worked with other vender's and counties to get us the best possible outcome on our projects at our home. They saved me on my storage facility project with short term notice they took over and completed our project. allowing us to open for business month earlier. unfortunately nothing cheap, but I believe we got a great value for the work that's been done. read more

Northside Electric - Relocated/cleaned up/centralized electrical work at our home. - Electricians Near Me - Salem, Oregon

As a real estate agent, I have referred Northside Electric to all of my clients and they have all had great experiences. From Salem to Keizer to Dallas, no matter where they get called out to they're always punctual and do an amazing job at an affordable rate. read more

Ryan came to our house to see about installing an ev charger. He said he'd get back to me that Thursday or Friday after getting feedback on our situation from Some coworkers. He did not get back to me. So I called him. I asked him to email us an estimate. He said he would. He never sent me an estimate. Great service. read more

I build my house two years ago and hired Northside Electric. the electrician name was Eric. He gave me an estimate of $21,000, and i paid a down payment of $11,000. he only worked foe 2 days and never came back. He kept my money and never finished the job. i would not recommend this company. read more

I can't speak for their other services, but don't bother requesting a quote for purchase and installation of a standup residential generator. Chuck will never call you back. I tried twice over the past several days, leaving messages. As a sales manager myself, I am shocked that someone would just ignore a prospect for business. I called Costco - they tied me to their preferred vendor for purchase and installation. I recommend you do the same if you have a Costco membership. I got a call back from them within an hour. read more

I reached out to North Side Electric on recommendation from redditors. I had some simple needs for additional outlets and powering/lighting an outside structure. The work was done quickly, including trenching - less than two days, I had all my outlets I needed, as well as power in my shed. The outlets are fastened tight and dont wiggle, the installed lights are bright, and everything was neat and cleaned up after. read more

Was quoted less than $500 to have an outlet installed, a light fixture hung and to have our bathroom light fixed. Asked the installer if he would install another light on the same circuit and add another outlet. Was charged over $500 for those two jobs. Seemed pretty excessive. I called and canceled an upcoming $1100 project with them. I don't like surprises. read more

Great service! Thank you for adding a line to our electric panel. Very reasonable cost, quick response Thank you, highly recommend this company. read more

I was over charged for an electrical upgrade, it took 4 MONTHS to complete from the first time they came to my home. They left my drywall looking terrible with the inaccurate cutouts and even left holes and simply referred to the contract stating it wasn't their responsibility to fix the mess they made. They kept blaming the city for the set backs even though they failed inspection twice. I would definitely recommend a different company for your electrical service needs. read more

I have had Northside to my house more than once. The workers are competent, fast and pleasant. I believe this upcoming appointment is the third time I have called them. A AAA company. I will call them any time I need electrical done. read more

Great professionals. They were on time, totally pro. First time was fixing out outdoor electrical. Called them a week later to install ethernet. They got creative and made it easy for me. Will use them again! read more

Had a baseboard heater problem that I couldn't figure out. Northside was only one of 4 companies that could come out within 48 hours.....COVID. Electrician found a panel problem in 10 minutes and rewired a new breaker in 50 minutes total. He was also available the same day I called. He likely saved me an electrical fire. $120 total for same day service! read more

Over charged us and never followed thru on a estimate we requested. Basically took advantage of a minor service call and charged $855 to add a plug when we had a electrical plug in the wall just behind the one we added. Wouldn't hire them again! read more

These folks are awesome and went out of their way to help us when the concrete contractor cut through our well power line. We had no water that day from noon on. Northside had a crew out that afternoon and ran a temp power line to the well. Once the patio way in, Jacob came back out and pulled the permanent line and finalized the connection. I'll be using them again soon for sure! read more

I was overcharged for service. The tech was only there for one hour and 9 minutes to install 4 lights. We were charged for 3 1/2 hours and a fee to travel to our home for a total of $455. The tech showed up 30 minutes late and left his drill. It has been a month 1/2 and he still has not picked it up. The billing person we spoke to regarding this overcharge was rude and tried to justify the 3 1/2 hours until we informed them we have the ring doorbell to show the time of arrival and when he left. Even after all that the company would not honor the quote they gave us at the time we set up the appointment. I have used this company on many occasions and have had no issues until now. I will not be using them again. read more

I had a great experience with Northside Electric in Salem, they sent a team of two electricians the same day the problem occurred and they identified the issue quickly and resolved it efficiently. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable staff, will be a returning customer for any electrical needs, highly recommend them! read more

Developed an electrical problem on Saturday night. Attempted to contact an electrician on Sunday, but no luck. Did speak to one who did only commercial work and he recommended Northside Electric. Called them before 8 on Monday and had electrician (Alex) at my door in less than 4 hours. Problem was a little hard to find, but Alex had my power back on in about an hour. Very good experience with this company. Office staff was friendly and helpful as was Alex. Highly recommended this company for your electrical problems. read more

Great service and knowledgeable! Had an issue with our deck light system. They came out and did the repair very quickly. We are now looking forward to having Northside Electric do a bunch of other needed repairs at our home. read more

We needed our old, unsafe circuit breaker panel replaced. We scheduled a consultation with Ryan at Northside Electric. He arrived on time and discussed what was needed and recommended, how it would be done, and answered all of our questions and concerns. Day of the job, Aaron arrived and promptly got to work, coordinating with the city to do the service cutoff, did a very professional job with the new panel, and cleaned up the wiring to our water heater which was a very welcome surprise. He explained the new panel to us, which slots would be set up for a future solar install, and labelled all of the slots clearly (big change from our cocktail napkin note of a diagram on the old panel). Job was done on time, site was thoroughly cleaned up and we are very happy with the new panel and new wiring. Highly recommended! Thank you Ryan, Aaron, and all the Northside crew. read more

Called to ask questions and was persistently interrupted any time I tried to ask or speak. I don't recommend this rude service

I contacted this company for a quote to wire a detached structure by my house. The electrician responded quickly and came by on his way back from another job. He was friendly, gathered info and said he would get back to me with a quote. We corresponded via text a couple of times, and then he completely dropped the ball. I asked him to please let me know if he was not interested in the job so that I could find someone else. He didn't respond. I'm sure this company is busy with large jobs right now, and maybe they don't have interest in smaller jobs. If that's the case, they should be honest and communicate with customers instead of just ignoring them. I won't recommend this company due to their unwillingness to communicate and provide a quote. That's just poor business. read more

every interaction has been courtesy, professional and timely. I consider them OUR electrical partner.

In my opinion the worst electrical contractor in Salem, Oregon. The work they did for us was not only sub par but down right dangerous. The new breaker box is mislabeled so you have know idea what your killing power to. Outlets they installed have never worked. They try and save themselves money by using unsupervised apprentice's. Do yourself and your family and avoid northside. read more

Holy mackeral Andy, Dan and Coyote came out and corrected a bad circuit breaker and a junction box for my water heater. in an hour. I'm freaked out.. I feel like I won the lottery. read more

I would not recommend this company, unless you don't mind getting ripped off. We were quoted a rate for installing an electric charger for a new EV. They sent two workers out, did the installation -- and then we received a bill for DOUBLE what we were quoted, with no warning. When we called to complain, we were told that we were charged for their travel time and for them to train an apprentice on our job. To bill double for what was quoted without any warning -- sounds like bait and switch to me. I may need to file a complaint with the BBB. Beware! read more

I reviewed this business over a year ago, detailing how they tried to charge me for work they did not complete. I contacted them to explain why I would not be paying, and I received no response at all. They still send me a bill monthly, marked "Credit Hold." They're wasting their paper and postage, yet they can't be bothered to call or email. If you can tolerate this kind of behavior, you might use their services. If not, find another contractor. read more

Called here and left several messages about an electrical problem we were having about 3 weeks ago. Nobody bothered to even call back. Poor communication and business practice! read more

Having recently purchased an older home & knowing we'd need a full electrical rehaul throughout the house, we were a bit apprehensive on who could handle such an intense job. We are so lucky to have found Northside Electric. Nate came out for the estimate and was able to clearly explain what needed to be done. Jacob & Will were assigned to our job and we couldn't have asked for more competent knowledgeable professionals. The entire job was slated for 3 weeks and was completed a couple days before. They were polite, friendly, and helpful, and the whole process was surprisingly non-invasive for such an intense job. I really can't say enough about Northside and recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work to be done. read more

Scott Allman from Northside was able to repair/figure out my 1938 doorbell wiring, for my 1938 doorbell, in my 1938 house. It was a tough (and I'm sure very frustrating) job but he stuck with it and now it is working great! read more

I was extremely pleased with their quick turn around time and very professional manager. I explained what work I needed to have accomplished and was given what seemed to me a very fair estimate. When Ryan came to do the work I showed him what needed to done and to my surprise he told me it would be less than the estimate and would also take less time. The young man was quick, professional and even answered some of my electrical questions. If I would need any electrical work done in the future Northside Electric would be the first and only electrical contractor I would call! read more

Trying to find an electrician for a small job with a short deadline is difficult. Luckily, despite a communication glitch, Crystal made it happen. Mac, the electrician, came out and didn't give up problem solving how to install my dryer plug in a new location. I'll definitely ask for him again to get old plug sockets replaced properly. read more

Scott was great.....did an awesome bathroom fan installation! Can not say enough good things about Northside....fair, on time, professional and friendly. read more

Excellent response and service. Thanks Corey, for finding the problem and getting the circuit restored. I would definitely recommend Northside Electric. They are very professional! read more

Jared has been amazing getting our almost 100 year old home up to snuff. Luckily a prior owner had upgraded the bulk of the home's wiring, but we needed more outlets, 230V service for the central AC compressor, 230V service in the garage for an electric brewing system, and 230V service for a future hot tub, we also wanted to be sure we had electrical service to an outbuilding at the back of the lot. So we also needed a whole new electrical panel to accommodate our 21st century needs. Jobs were all done extremely quickly and met all of our needs. Left everything tidy, and plan on having him back out for final wiring of the hot tub once it arrives. Couldn't be happier with them! read more

just bought my first house and the house was not wired for an electric dryer. I called north side electric after being referred from my uncle. The electrician was on time, friendly and efficient. He even was aware my 5 month old son went down for a nap and made sure he didn't let the doors slam as he walked in and out. I'd recommend north side electric to any of my friends or family for sure! read more

Rick came out to our little old mobile home to fix some major wiring issues and was very courteous, efficient, professional, and friendly. We will definitely be calling for future work! read more

Just a fair warning to ANYONE considering hiring Northside Elec. We just paid northside over 11k, CASH and they just told us they CHARGE EXTRA FOR REMOVING THE 1930's wiring. As a couple who knows very little about electrical or plumbing we rely heavily on the experience and recommendations of the contractor. We assumed when we hired them that removing old wires was SOP, but apparently we were wrong. We should have known that removing old wires was something we should have asked for. northside, apparently, in good conscious, think there is no problem putting new service panels on the outside and leaving 1930's wiring behind and only after do they tell you that's extra. So we now have had another contractor with A different company give us a bid replacing the old wires and all the while shaking his head in complete disbelief that a company, (northside), continues to capitalize on older folks who know nothing about electric. This not a rant from an impossible couple, we just wanted done what we asked and paid for, that's all. And I question those reviews. Rick and Jeanette Webb Turner read more
