The work was done quickly, including trenching - less than two days, I had all my outlets I needed, as well as power in my shed. Asked the installer if he would install another light on the same circuit and add another outlet. Was charged over $500 for those two jobs. Seemed pretty excessive. I was over charged for an electrical upgrade, it took 4 MONTHS to complete from the first time they came to my home. They left my drywall looking terrible with the inaccurate cutouts and even left holes and simply referred to the contract stating it wasn't their responsibility to fix the mess they made. They kept blaming the city for the set backs even though they failed inspection twice. I would definitely recommend a different company for your electrical service needs. read more

Electrician found a panel problem in 10 minutes and rewired a new breaker in 50 minutes total. He was also available the same day I called. I was overcharged for service. The tech was only there for one hour and 9 minutes to install 4 lights. We were charged for 3 1/2 hours and a fee to travel to our home for a total of $455. The tech showed up 30 minutes late and left his drill. It has been a month 1/2 and he still has not picked it up. The billing person we spoke to regarding this overcharge was rude and tried to justify the 3 1/2 hours until we informed them we have the ring doorbell to show the time of arrival and when he left. Even after all that the company would not honor the quote they gave us at the time we set up the appointment. I have used this company on many occasions and have had no issues until now. These folks are awesome and went out of their way to help us when the concrete contractor cut through our well power line. We had no water that day from noon on. Northside had a crew out that afternoon and ran a temp power line to the well. Once the patio way in, Jacob came back out and pulled the permanent line and finalized the connection. Developed an electrical problem on Saturday night. Attempted to contact an electrician on Sunday, but no luck. Did speak to one who did only commercial work and he recommended Northside Electric. Called them before 8 on Monday and had electrician (Alex) at my door in less than 4 hours. Problem was a little hard to find, but Alex had my power back on in about an hour. We needed our old, unsafe circuit breaker panel replaced. We scheduled a consultation with Ryan at Northside Electric. He arrived on time and discussed what was needed and recommended, how it would be done, and answered all of our questions and concerns. Day of the job, Aaron arrived and promptly got to work, coordinating with the city to do the service cutoff, did a very professional job with the new panel, and cleaned up the wiring to our water heater which was a very welcome surprise. He explained the new panel to us, which slots would be set up for a future solar install, and labelled all of the slots clearly (big change from our cocktail napkin note of a diagram on the old panel). I contacted this company for a quote to wire a detached structure by my house. The electrician responded quickly and came by on his way back from another job. He was friendly, gathered info and said he would get back to me with a quote. We corresponded via text a couple of times, and then he completely dropped the ball. I asked him to please let me know if he was not interested in the job so that I could find someone else. He didn't respond. I'm sure this company is busy with large jobs right now, and maybe they don't have interest in smaller jobs. If that's the case, they should be honest and communicate with customers instead of just ignoring them. I won't recommend this company due to their unwillingness to communicate and provide a quote. I would not recommend this company, unless you don't mind getting ripped off. We were quoted a rate for installing an electric charger for a new EV. They sent two workers out, did the installation -- and then we received a bill for DOUBLE what we were quoted, with no warning. When we called to complain, we were told that we were charged for their travel time and for them to train an apprentice on our job. To bill double for what was quoted without any warning -- sounds like bait and switch to me. I may need to file a complaint with the BBB. Beware! read more

Jared has been amazing getting our almost 100 year old home up to snuff. Luckily a prior owner had upgraded the bulk of the home's wiring, but we needed more outlets, 230V service for the central AC compressor, 230V service in the garage for an electric brewing system, and 230V service for a future hot tub, we also wanted to be sure we had electrical service to an outbuilding at the back of the lot. So we also needed a whole new electrical panel to accommodate our 21st century needs. Jobs were all done extremely quickly and met all of our needs. Left everything tidy, and plan on having him back out for final wiring of the hot tub once it arrives. Couldn't be happier with them! read more

Just a fair warning to ANYONE considering hiring Northside Elec. We just paid northside over 11k, CASH and they just told us they CHARGE EXTRA FOR REMOVING THE 1930's wiring. As a couple who knows very little about electrical or plumbing we rely heavily on the experience and recommendations of the contractor. We assumed when we hired them that removing old wires was SOP, but apparently we were wrong.We should have known that removing old wires was something we should have asked for. northside, apparently, in good conscious, think there is no problem putting new service panels on the outside and leaving 1930's wiring behind and only after do they tell you that's extra. So we now have had another contractor with A different company give us a bid replacing the old wires and all the while shaking his head in complete disbelief that a company, (northside), continues to capitalize on older folks who know nothing about electric. This not a rant from an impossible couple, we just wanted done what we asked and paid for, that's all. And I question those reviews. Rick and Jeanette Webb Turner read more
