Judson was working with the restoration company . The restoration company said there were 2 leaks one in sewer pipe and the other in a main line . They cleaned and marked the pipes with ribbons they said. I had a very hard getting information judson after the repair if two places were repaired. The location they v were talking about was one location . I couldn't tell if they fixed a second . Then we started having trouble with the toilets again . I called judson again they inspected they just said a part was missing on the pipe . I email the Inspector who contact me from judson on the second repair thru email he sent and said will you tell me the location because I told the judson inspector his company did the frist repair and i want know if it in the sane location and he never answered me. The restoration company who pays judson started giving me answers to my questions that dounded right . So i called another plumbing company to do a second inspection after judson . The second inspection the company said your pipes are old cast iron from the 1970s but they are all working good and not leaking except one very odd mystery. I cant explain why it happen you have a leak but I ts a man made leak. . I cant explain why they did it . The pipe are all in good shape . There were two rings on the ground together were on the side away from any sewage and a band missing on the end . I couldnt answers from restoration co or judson to questions . Then judsun pull out of second repair saying had other work . All i can say is I have own the building 12 years .and this is the frist work i had done under the building and the only work . I dont know who did this . I wasnt there but do know j inspector wouldnt answer my question and he clearly knew that wasnt a craked or broken pipe that some took it apart . Was shock to see judson send me a bill for $550 . The second inspection after judslon was $400. I dont think judson should of billed at all. I live in senior housing with multiple units. One of the units needed a plumbing repair and the only notice we all were given less than 2 days before, was that Judson's Plumbing would be coming, and our water would be shut off at an unknown time of the day for an unknown period of time. That day I had a much awaited physical exam, so I called Judson's for more details. The woman who took my call was curt and snippy, and made juvenile suggestions such as bathing the night before and filling up a sink with water to use the next morning. I believe it's fair to say that getting fully ready to leave your home for any medical appt requires a bit more water than that, not to mention the overall inconvenience to a large and vulnerable population. This was not an emergency repair. If less than 2 days out, a company is unable to estimate some type of time frame for a routine repair, they should hire a scheduler. As I tried to reason with this woman for some bit of detail she got increasingly truculent and certainly had no empathy for my inconvenience, nor that of all the other residents. We have been impressed with the quality workmanship that Judson's has provided over the years. Their pricing has always been fair and competitive. Most recently, Zack Arnold replaced a kitchen faucet and he did an excellent job. It was easy to schedule an appointment within a very convenient time frame. Zack arrived on time and he was courteous, respectful, clean and conscientious as he worked. Zack communicated clearly and listened attentively as we strategized and weighed the pros and cons of making a repair over installing a new faucet. The faucet was in need of replacement parts that would have been difficult to find and so I decided to have it replaced. Zack worked efficiently and I appreciated that he explained my options. We had water leaking through the ceiling below our kitchen so we called Judson's based on what we've heard about them from others. We called at 8am and they said they'd try to get out same day, but could definitely come the next day. Luckily for us, Doc from Judsons made it out that same afternoon. Turns out that Doc was the best plumber we could ever hope for. He was prompt and courteous and got right to work, diagnosing the issue and proposing a solution. He didn't waste a second while he was here and also patiently explained the details of the problem so we could make an educated decision. We had a leak in the kitchen sink drain pipe on a horizontal section of piping in the ceiling below. All the work from beginning to end took less than three hours, which is no small feat considering he had to locate the pipe int he closed-off ceiling, which relied entirely on educated guesses. He also asked if we had any other things we wanted him to look at while he was there and he fixed two minor things in 5 minutes, which was invaluable. I'd recommend him (and Judson's) 100% and won't hesitate to call him whenever our next issue arrises. read more

When our water heater suddenly quit working recently, Judson's was the only one of the many plumbing companies we called that treated it like an emergency and worked us into their schedule. They first tried to repair it but parts were a problem, and when we decided on a Friday to replace it with a better unit (with absolutely no hard selling on their part), they had the new one installed by midmorning on Monday. Neither the tradesmen themselves nor the office staff could have been nicer or more accommodating. We'll never call anyone else. read more

Very over priced. I've used them before and probably did not pay attention as much as I should have. The item they bid on was ok, although the inspector had to correct a couple of things and the panel was mislabeled. Two bathroom fans and cleaning up some outdoor wiring was a bit exorbitant especially considering the fans were priced at nearly double of what retail is. The nice lady at Judson's explained they have to keep them in stock, etc, but I had to mention they buy them from a supplier at a discount. read more

Had gotten a hot water heater from Judsons which developed a leak on top at a connection; was still under warranty. We have well water which may possibly have contributed but may have just received a defective water heater. Call mid Friday AM and they weren't sure they could get anyone out to our rural house before Monday. However, within an hour of calling, they called to say someone could come within an hour. They could fix the leak so before the end of the day they had a team bring a new water heater and got it installed right away. So, thankfully we had hot water for the weekend. The guys were professional and very nice, even though our house is somewhat of a challenge to carry water heaters in and out of. read more

We had an extremely tight timetable for a repair and they were able to respond right away. Upon inspection, the crack in our drain pipe was more extensive than previously thought and took nearly all day to fix. They bill after the fact so I honestly thought we were going to get an inflated invoice. When it came we were pleasantly surprised that we were billed for exactly for the time and service that we were told it would be. Highly recommend. Will use again. read more

We had a laundry list of repairs and the guys were great but had to come back out to correct a repair which was done incorrectly. if you can afford Judson's, they are worth it (think it was like $95 an hour or so). And I loved the fact that they bill eventually. And when I say eventually, it took 5 weeks to receive my bill in the mail. BUT they charge you for drive time, not cool. We had a water leak, that came from an upstairs bathroom and into our living room. Judson guy found the leak, and replaced a valve. Sure I was left with a huge hole in my ceiling, but at least the waterfall was fixed. I'd call Judsons again for services. Fast and easy. read more

Another plumber couldn't come for two weeks, they came the same day! Our problem was fixed in just under an hour and he was quickly able to asses the drainage problem. Another nice feature, they bill you after the service so when something urgent comes up you don't have to have the cash up front for the service. It was $85 an hour plus parts or equipment used. Called to get a water heater replaced. I was not really interested in estimates (though they did give some), I just wanted the job done and was willing to book the job then and there. Well, seems Judson's requires a photo of the water heater sent to them before they will commit to the job even though I gave the details concerning the water heater in question. Trouble is their office staff have no idea how to deal with graphics sent to them or they didn't want the business. Twice I sent the picture in the email address given to me. Nope, they claim they didn't get the email and nothing was returned to me saying there was a problem sending the message. Okay, let's try sending it in text. Same issue, they say they didn't get it. I am a retired computer science professor, I know how to send a text and email. My guess is that Judson's didn't want the job (really easy install in the garage with no obstructions) so they played the didn't get the file game and really insisted they have a picture. I do wonder about those without smart phones or the experience of sending graphics being left out. Anyhow, I call Cherry City Plumbing and they said, "picture? don't need no stinking picture". Okay, so I played that up a bit but they really were surprise a picture was needed before booking a job. Cherry City Plumbers didn't need any picture and booked me with Anthony, a very accomplished technician who did the job of replacing our water heater the same day for $400 less than the lowest price quoted by Judson's. My advise, call Cherry City Plumbers first and save yourself a lot of frustration and money to boot, and you won't need any stinking pictures. read more

Charging $800.00 more than competitor for heat pump. Then charged a "service charge" for pulling the cover off of our unit to verify a leak we already new we had, which you could see from the outside of unit. Foreman came out twice for things missed on original visit. Very poor customer service. We obviously went with competitors bid of $800.00 less but was stuck with a bill for $127+ to have them come out. If you want a quote on a new unit or a quote to fix current unit be very specific on the phone or expect to get ripped off! read more

Robin, John, Juan and the office staff Corinna and Carol were extremely professional, prompt, courteous and clear in communicating. I really liked that Robin and John took great care to inspect our home, listen to our specific needs and explain the pros and cons of three different systems that matched our criteria. We needed to replace our Heating and Air system - (not urgently, but within the year.) We called four different places and had two different companies come out physically. The first company was very casual and we had them do the standard annual maintenance on the existing system. The maintenance cost $25 more than what Judson's would have charged. During the maintenance, we inquired about replacing the system and we were given a quote "off the cuff." The quote was about $1,500 more than the system that we ended up choosing with Judson's. We were not concerned about the price but we wanted to be sure that we did our "homework" before agreeing to replace our system. I checked Consumer Affairs and found that the rating on the furnace that was recommended by the first company was "low" while the American Standard that Judson's suggested had a "high" rating for performance and for energy efficiency. Robin was great in explaining our options and he even helped us with an energy efficient rebate. I really liked that Judson's was honest, did not try to "up sell" gave us several options and completed the project from start to finish in a very timely and professional manner. We are very impressed. Our new system is more efficient and extremely quiet. We will call Judson's in the future if we need any of the services that they offer.
