Two guys with occasional backup, 5 days. The work was completed EXACTLY as agreed. The doors and windows are straight, level, plumb, square, and beautiful. There are no drafts. We can no longer hear the wind or traffic passing. And we can now see out of windows we could see through since we bought the house. Best money I ever spent and based upon many years of construction experience, Mike Hara is the best contractor I have ever dealt with. He knows his business. Price? You can waste your time land get a lot of "estimates" or you can call Hara's and get a real price quoted. If you do get other quotes to compare, remember the difference between price, cost and value. Cost is leftover things that do not make the purchase order but cost you extra time like a sloppy , unfinished job and the hassle of getting things corrected to YOUR satisfaction. Even extra money. Remember it's only an "estimate." There is none of that with Hara's. They are right on price. There are no external costs to you. Tha makes value in the equation sky-high. Mike provided seven windows for me. Three of them were way off the measurements I gave him. He provided three correct replacements but charged me for part of the replacements. When I did not pay in a timely manner he sued me. The court sided with him when I could not make the court date. I now owe almost 150% more, and I now have a lien on my house. I have been ordering and replacing windows from another distributor for years without a problem. I tried Hara's because they were less expensive. I guess I have learned my lesson. P.S. I had to make custom framing because some of his windows were out of square. That also cost me a lot of money. read more

He was my 5th business to contact about difficulty opening my sliding glass door. Mike was on time, professional, diagnosed the problem/solution gave me a great price and promise to order the part and call to schedule I heard that from 2 previous companies, did they, nope. Hara's installed a defective window on our home. When Mike called me after I said I would not pay the bill he said the manufacturer would not take the window back (not my problem). Months later they called and tried to collect for the window. I told the caller the window was defective. Mike called and said they had a new window to replace the defective window. The installer arrived and removed the first defective window and said the replacement window was too bowed to install and reinstalled the first defective window. I called Mike, no return call. The installer told me the surrounding plastic may not tolerate another attempt at installation because of the age of the material. James in his review was not sure if they are still in business.. I am now paying off a debt created when the owner miswrote down a window size. I could not make it to the court date where Mike sued me for the cost of one window. He then put a lien on my house. I have now paid $494 dollars for one small window that was the wrong size. Mike is the most unethical businessman I have ever worked for. We just had Mike, the owner, come out an do an estimate to replace our picture windows. While he was here meeting with my hubby, he put a briefcase on my very expensive dining table which is solid wood and pristine and scratched it - actually dug a ding into it. When I arrived home a half hour after Mike left - my hubby showed me right away and said he pointed it out - so I called to speak with him. He did not get on the phone but told his receptionist or whoever answered the phone that he didn't do it! He didn't have the courtesy to even speak to me. I had 10 vinyl windows and a sliding glass door installed to replace my old, failed metal framed windows. The crew was very professional. They cleaned the work site completely every day before they left. The job took 3 days to complete, even though the last day we were hit with a snow storm that really should have stopped them early in the morning! They worked until the job was completed and the site cleaned. I love my new windows and I am the envy of my neighborhood! I was originally very concerned because this company has nearly no online presence! But I went to their office and saw their work board completely filled with nothing but referrals, so they aren't really concerned about building an online name! They do their business the old fashioned way. The only problem they have is that it is very difficult to get in touch with them sometimes because they only have one secretary in the office and the owner answering the calls ... very small company; and very busy. I have a rental business with several, single family, dwellings. I have used Hara's for all our window needs. In the last two years alone they have removed and replaced all the windows in two of those homes. First they make sure that their measurements are accurate to ensure a proper fit. Next they use the finest products available and all the work done for us has been excellent. The new vinyl windows made the homes look 99.9% better.
