Ok, past experience with Comcast has been less than zero over the last 30 years, but today, I was completely turned "about face" and must say, at least at this location, the service was exceptional! Made an appointment beforehand and arrived a few minutes early. Checked in and within two minutes, I was called on. Met with Lorenzo, who I can't say enough about. His personality, attention to our complaints and needs were outstanding. After a brief description of our service problems he took all of our old equipment in, issued all new equipment and took his time explaining every aspect of our Comcast experience. I never get sold add ons, but after Lorenzo went through every item of our services, we signed up for security services and other tech needs. Really can't give enough credit to all the employees we encountered on today's visit; Lorenzo, Tami and Giuseppe, all of them deserve a job well done an due to their interactions with us, we are now back in the Comcast family after seriously considering leaving for a competitor. Whole appointment took only a few minutes and self install of all new equipment was seamless and easy. Well done! Keep up the great customer service Comcast Oakbrook. read more

I am regretfully trying Xfinity cable/internet again due to the coronavirus pandemic and stuck with it for 12 months. I called about a $40 dollar package I was told equipment was $14 and $5 tax is $2.35 My bill came and is $75.05 There was a mix up with the shipping of my equipment and I was told to sign a text and I would need to return the extra equipment and then my bill would be what I was originally told. It's taken at least 7 hours to talk to an actual person. Do not trust this company. read more

I know people get upset with Comcast, but if you are a good listener, ask questions, and are not too proud to admit you need to hear something explained again...these kind people will help. I only like to give a rant if it's warranted but my goodness, I ordered Xfinity on November 13th and they came to my location twice, not knowing what type of installation they were doing or what was needed. I talked to 6 customer service reps (each did not know what the situation was at all or even my name), I was late to two meetings on both days of the installations and I've spent a total of 4 hours on the phone with them (collectively) for a product that I don't even have. They have a great product but it's not worth the mess of customer service department they have. I do NOT recommend Xfinity to anyone or any animal, spirit or biological being. My fiance & I went to this store tonight to switch our service from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile. They have a great deal where you can get $300 back for signing up & getting a new phone! Sadly, all the iPhones were sold out so we couldnt qualify for the promo, but I still ended up switching and bringing my current phone for the $45 Unlimited deal. Our rep was Aleksander and he was so amazing! He was very helpful & helped answer all of our questions. He provided amazing customer service, was SO polite, patient with us, and just an all around delight. I wish every place of business had an Aleksander. His great attitude made me write this review. He even took care of switching my sim card and getting everything all set up for me. When I do end up getting my new phone, I will ask for him personally. You always hear about horror stories about dealing with comcast right? I recently upgraded my package and had to return the modem and the cable box, and since DVR service and the modem rental adds up to 20 dollars a month, I cancelled the dvr and bought my own modem. Check in is pretty simple, you sign up as you walk in, and you can roam around checking out new products or just watch whatever is on TV. I was called in about 15 mins and as far as turning the equipment in, it was pretty simple process. Scanned the equipment, printed the receipt, I verified the information and signed. Whole process probably took me 30 mins tops. read more

Literally the worst customer service . Can't get a hold of anyone on the phone unless you ask for new service. Just gave away one secret. This store however always looks for an excuse to get you out of the door. I asked for help with getting a new security sensor and they told me they dotnt Carry home security equipment for security reasons. . I laughed at him. He then told me he'd get me a phone number to directly speak to someone in that department because I can't get a hold of anyone. That phone number he gave me was the same number that just starts you back over form scratch. This company and store has to be one of the worst combos ever. I cancelled my comcast, which in itself was a 5min phone call, and was told to return my boxes within 10 days. Easy enough. I unfortunately missed a chance to have Comcast come to me to pick up the boxes, since I was out of town. If you have this chance, TAKE IT. Even on a Wednesday at 1pm this place was crazy crowded. You will get checked in and then have to wait for your name to be called for service. I waited a half hour, which was annoying, but they did have a large tv with FoodNetwork on, so I wasn't too bored. It was just annoying because I could hear an employee ordering her lunch next to me instead of helping customers out. Once it was my turn, the return took 2 minutes. This place had the feeling of going to the DMV- a lot of waiting for little reward. The people were nice though, and I won't get charged by comcast for my equipment, so I'm happy... I just hope I don't have to go back any time soon. read more

We just left there, after a very unfriendly passive person gave us no help at all. We recently ran into issues when tivo comcast clashed, and went there looking to revamp our entire system remove, and improve it, including performance. He made us stand there, others were seating their clients. Never have we encountered such a passive unhelpful person, no advice or interest in our config, just said i can offer u $45 per month as is. We said we were looking to upgrade our modem/router dvr. He said the higher modem is only for higher speed bandwidth and we said thats what we want. He said someone wd have to come out there and we said thats what we were looking to do. This person was totally reactive and we left with no understanding of what to do other than look to have someone come out. MARCH: I tried to create an account with Xfinity mobile And internet. I was to pick up my internet box. I drove to get it and was given the wrong box. I went back to another store And they promised me this was the correct one. It was not. I tried to call to get assistance and was on the phone for over an hour and did not speak to a human. I went back again And cancelled the internet account and my mobile account in the store. My mobile account which I had already spent 17 to send Amy daughter at Fort Bragg her new SIM card. I had never activated my mobile account-no one did. I returned everything including the SIM cards. I was guaranteed everything was cancelled. APRIL: I was charged 165$ for my mobile account. I spent over an hour on the line trying to get the refund and everything cancelled. I was promised it was completed and a credit was given. MAY: I was charged 175$. Again I was on the phone for over an hour and half. 135.23 to be exact And the 5th rep I was transferred to said "there is an open work order on this account" I have to talk to another department. It should take about 20 more minutes. I hung up. One of the reps during this process admitted that the last time the rep dropped the ball and didn't finish canceling the account "isn't that frustrating hahaha" Literally laughed. . I purchased a product which didn't contain all parts and was told there's no phone number for the stores directly and I need to visit a store in person to take care of the issue. It makes no sense for a company whom markets technology not to have a way for supporting product sales after the sale outside of physically retiring to the store. **Disclosure should be made in each Xfinity store location that any purchase made in a store of any physical item will not be supported by Xfinity via phone / online.** Additionally and adding to the frustration, it took three calls to the toll free number, each needing account validation and a total of 40 minutes on the phone to be told this by representatives. read more

I expected this visit to be a complete nightmare but luckily, it was pretty easy. To start, Comcast forgot to send my modem in the mail so going to the store was my only option in order to have internet access when I needed it. I went on a Sunday evening about 20 minutes before closing and there were only about 3-4 customers ahead of me. The store is decorated beautifully, I love the wood floors! My wait was about 10 minutes but there were plenty of gadgets and TVs to entertain you while you wait. My representative was really nice and had me out the door within 10-15 minutes. While I don't plan on being back, I know I don't need to dread it. read more

I don't know why I expected anything more than a headache from Comcast. The mailed me a broken primary cable box and a secondary cable box I didn't need. Of course, they didn't bother to ask if I needed a second box, but provided me with one for a $3 monthly fee I wouldn't discover until the next billing cycle. I realize that's not this particular store's fault, but that's not the reason behind the bad review. Despite the speedy service and very friendly customer service rep I worked with, they still managed to make things inconvenient. I brought in my original cable box and all its accessories. They offer to hold this giant cardboard box of stuff for me while I wait for a representative. The representative says I can take home my original box of accessories with the new cable box. I go to pick up my cardboard box before I leave... The same woman who offered to hold my cardboard box now informs me they dump the boxes they receive at that counter, so I can't have my stuff back. Fine, I'll get new accessories before I leave. They hand me a bag containing the new cable box, a remote, and a couple of cables. I go over the contents of the bag to confirm that's all I need. OK, they came back and credited my account. So while I'm not happy about the runaround, at least they knew how to fix it. Thanks, Comcast. After troubleshooting with Tech, he tells me my modem is 3 generations too old and that I needed an update. So I take my xfinity modem (they charge me for!) to get a new one. But that doesn't fix my problem, so they send out a tech who tells me that it was the setup by the original Comcast tech who set up my internet wrong using double filters and a Comcast amplifier. He removed the filters and everything worked fine. Then they charged me $60 for in home visit. DO NOT BUY XFINITY SERVICES!!! read more

After reading the reviews here, it seems a couple are reviewing a negative experience with Comcast as a whole, rather than their experience at this specific store location. I'm moving to a location that doesn't support Xfinity so I've canceled my service. Upon cancellation, the equipment provided by Comcast must be returned to an Xfinity store which is why I ended up stopping by. Right off the bat I was greeted at the front desk. I told them why I was here and they took the equipment off my hands and sorted it out. Next, I was given a number and told to hang out until a representative is available. This place is pretty busy and I waited roughly 10 minutes before a representative called me to their desk. We went over the equipment I brought in and I signed a receipt confirming its return. I'm very impressed with multiple things about this store. The design itself is very open concept, transparent, and inviting. The gentleman who initially greeted me at the front provided exceptional customer service. The representative helping me was knowledgeable, very easy to talk to, and seems like someone who has no trouble performing well at his job. read more

I will NEVER order from any kind of Xfinity/Comcast shop after my 2nd bad experience. Both times I was given incorrect information and, this time specifically, it took over 2.5 hours of phone time (not including the robot information collector) to get to, what I hesitate to call a resolution. I suggest going online or calling Xfinity Customer Service because these shops don't work in the same systems, so they don't share the same information, as Xfinity Account Services (or so I'm told). **MY STORY_Part 1 My first experience was in 2017, which resulted in me canceling my Xfinity service in less than 30 days; I was quoted a price from a Walmart Xfinity table vendor that Xfinity chose not to uphold, even with a signed agreement with the price I was quoted. After taking a day off of work for installing Xfinity and making multiple inquiries into this issue, I was told that I canceled early enough for a FULL REFUND, which in this case they would just pay the balance of my account, and the account would be CLOSED. **MY STORY_Part 2 After a year hiatus, I'm trying Xfinity again, but went to this store. (1) I did not want to start my account until my other one ended - was told "NO PROBLEM" ... (2) I wanted to use my current phone number - was told "NO PROBLEM" ... (3) I wanted to use my old username - was told "NO PROBLEM" ... all of which was not able to be done. (1) My service started before my requested start date. Though I did get prorated (after calling 3 time), I wanted the date for a reason and you can't change this after the fact. (2 & 3) My information I gave was not implemented to my new account because my old account NEVER was credited. My old account still had a balance, so it was affecting my credit score and kept me from accessing and properly setting up my new account. **RESOLUTION During my most recent call, I was told Xfinity will credit the old account and prorate my new account, so my first bill will be less. That is all. After all of these troubles, Xfinity will process what their associates have said they would do since 2017 and they would not have me pay for the unused time at the start of this new account (first billing period only). I'm thinking of calling the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to finalize this issue. read more

Comcast internet service is some of the fastest reliable internet I've ever had. However expect their customer service to treat you like a third-rate citizen. 4 months that I've had this service my address has been wrong. I've called customer service seven times to let them know that my address is incorrect. I'm always spoken to as if I'm incorrect because my address doesn't match what they have on file. Of course it isn't that's why I'm calling... And recently I've had contact with a customer support agent who told me that they would call me after work at 10:30 in the evening because I've had such horrible service. It's been an hour and I have received no email I gave him my phone number and nothing of any attempt has been made to contact me. I've had to send a financial document to a bank thinking that I had the right address this time only to be rejected by the bank saying that's the address that they have on the bill does not match my address. I understand that mistakes happen and that people are imperfect. But for me to call 7 people with the same problem in the course of eight months only to find out that when I think that the problem is solved that it's not, at that point all of the bad reviews that I hear about Comcast are just making more and more sense. I 1000000% do not recommend X-Finity internet service if you are living in the City View/Apex complexes or in a nearby apartment complex. I have been a customer for nearly 2 years and an "outage is reported" at least every two weeks. As a medical student I am dependent upon internet usage to utilize study resources and videos. I have called multiple times and customer service is always friendly, but the time wasted and money spent on hotspot data through my cell phone provider is inexcusable. Did I mention my neighbor across the hallway has AT&T and has not had a single outage all year-pays the same amount-and has equally as fast internet speed? I was so loving my Xfinity cell service until I moved. All I wanted to do was change my address!!! I couldn't do it online, on the app or over the phone. I had to go into the store in Oak Brook after work today and there were 16 people in front of me. While I was waiting, I decided to call the Xfinity (CARE?) line. Obviously no one there cares either!! My name got called about the same time someone on the phone came on the line (I had been transferred to someone who could "help" me 3 times before I got her!). The lady in the store (Magda) was a tremendous help, though she couldn't resolve anything. The lady on the phone said I'd have to pay even more money! I walked out with my address still not changed.
