Seems like most people are posting reviews about Xfinity in general, rather than this specific store. My review is for this store only as if I were reviewing Xfinity, it be a 0. Anyway, I made an order over the phone to return my cable equipment and I upgraded my internet, which required a new modem/gateway. I scheduled to pick it up at the store the following day. Instead, they shipped my order. I called to rectify it and again scheduled for pick it up. When I arrived at the store, the guy that greeted me was friendly UNTIL he realized I wasn't there to sign up for cellphone service and he wouldn't be getting a commission. Then his attitude completely changed and he pawned me off to someone else. The next guy was better. I explained the whole mess Xfinity's (foreign) customer service created and he was able to rectify it. I returned my cable boxes and picked up the new modem. I was up and running within minutes. I've had my share of challenging customer service experiences with Xfinity/Comcast however, this store has consistently been a pleasant experience! The most recent experience, I took advantage of my upgrade status and purchased a new phone. This was a multiple step process but my agent, Rodney Hunter made sure that everything was handled as simple as possible! He ensured that I got the correct pricing for my new phone, new cell plan, did so many backflips to solve an issue I've been experiencing for at least 6 months. My wife and I were moving to a new spot which didn't have xfinity coverage we checked and when we decided to go back to xfinity in Oct we told the manger who signed us up that. We said we would pay more if we had no contract same as before bc we were moving in a few months. He said sure BUT when he convinced us to do autopsy he committed fraud and must've slipped a contract in that paperwork. My wife and I moved returned equipment and then now they charged us 220 early termination fee. You have committed fraud and don't be surprised if a class action lawsuit comes soon. My recent customer service experience with Xfinity chat was the worse and has proven to me that their customer service chat agents are not trained correctly ... if at all. I called 2 weeks prior to my payment being due and made a payment arrangement (which they allow you to do). However, the day before my payment arrangement was to happen, I called and told them to remove the arrangement and I would make the payment with them right then, at that moment. The agent told me to hold while he removed the arrangement and then came back and said the payment arrangement had be SUCCESSFULLY removed. I had him remain on the line and I submitted the payment. Sent him the confirmation verification and all was good ... or, so I thought. The next day when I checked my account I saw that they had not only processed the payment I made, but they also processed the payment that was suppose to be cancelled on the arrangement. I contacted them and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them they could refund me the cancelled payment which should have not gone through at all. They stripped me of money I didn't have. I am 76 on a fixed income and they did not give a dam about that. They said the payment cancellation had not been processed properly and there was nothing they could do about it. That is a bunch of crap and I would advise you to seek other options rather than Xfinity. read more

I visited this Xfinity Store by Comcast to return my old XB3 gateway. I got on a new one-year deal with Xfinity that happens to come with their "gig speed" internet. That speed required me to upgrade to the current XB7 gateway which Xfinity has been pushing in the Atlanta market as of late. For example, Xfinity had a picture of the XB7 on the side of the "Peach" building on Peachtree Rd in Midtown. You could see it from I-85 south: https://bit.ly/3A0cn5J. I've been a Comcast Xfinity customer since 2001. In general, I've been a fan. For many years now, the X1 platform has been solid for my live TV and DVR needs. I like the X1 interface, features, and remote control with voice capabilities. Xfinity's internet service has always been super fast and reliable for me. It's gotten faster and faster and faster over the years. My previous plans, marketed as things like "Extreme" and "Blast!," were already more speed than I needed. I'm currently on the "Ultrafast" plan with download speeds of "up to 900 Mbps" and upload speeds of "up to 20 Mbps." I actually get speeds above 900/20 when doing speed tests. My current deal is about $152/month for TV and internet. My previous deal was a two-year contract that worked out to about $172/month with a phone line (Xfinity Voice). I bundled voice into my Xfinity plans multiple times over the years - even though I never actually used the phone line - to get the best monthly rate possible. I'm currently also on a plan with Charter Spectrum for TV and internet for my home in North Carolina. My current Spectrum deal is a two-year promo that works out to about $167/month for TV and internet. Recognizing the services are taken in different locales, Xfinity is the better deal for me at this time because: 1. Xfinity's "Ultrafast" internet is 900 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. Spectrum's "Internet Ultra" is 400 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. 400 Mbps is already fast enough for me, so Xfinity's 900 down is overkill. But, nice to have. 2. Xfinity's "Popular TV" channel lineup is comparable to Spectrum's "TV Select" lineup. I care about live sports and both of these cable TV packages are very similar in this regard. For almost 2.5 years, Xfinity didn't carry ACC Network in its Popular TV package, but now they do (as of December 2021). Spectrum doesn't carry Golf Channel in its TV Select package. So, based on Golf Channel alone, Xfinity has the edge here. 3. Xfinity gives me up to 20 hours of DVR service and the ability to pause and rewind live TV. Spectrum doesn't, in the same package/price tier. 4. Xfinity gives me more on-demand entertainment options like Streampix. Admittedly, I don't use Streampix and rarely watch any of Xfinity's on-demand content. I use separate streaming services for that. Still, another win for Xfinity. 5. Xfinity gives me Peacock Premium, a $4.99/month value, for free. 6. Xfinity's modems and routers have been integrated, all-in-one, gateway devices. With Spectrum, I have to use a separate modem and router. While not a big deal, Xfinity's all-in-one setup is simpler and cleaner with less cords and stuff. All of these TV and internet services have so many offerings and promos, it's hard to keep track of and it's virtually impossible to stay on top of unless you're in the business. Sometimes, there have been features and content I had access to that I never knew about. Now, I will say Xfinity isn't perfect. My worst experience with Xfinity since becoming a customer 21+ years ago was when I upgraded my gateway from the XB3 to the XB7. I have a lot of experience setting up home networks and home internet in various homes with different ISPs and equipment over the past 25+ years. What happened in this instance was I got faulty XB7 hardware shipped to me. I wasted an entire day troubleshooting, on many calls that amounted to hours with several different customer support technicians. Some of the techs definitely sounded American while others, I would be willing to bet, were talking to me from a call center on another continent. I ended up having to get an Xfinity-authorized contractor to come inside my home to officially diagnose and confirm what I suspected: bad hardware. He swapped my XB7 with a refurbished one from his van and problem solved. The in-person tech's name was Ben. I do like how gateways these days are smarter like smartphones, tablets, and computers. Minimal setup was required for the XB7 because most of my network settings transferred automatically from the old XB3 to the new XB7. That was convenient. Unfortunately, as a contractor, Ben wasn't able to take the XB3 off my hands. I either had to ship it back to Xfinity or drop it off at a store, which is where this store came in. Located at the Ford Factory Lofts (Ford Factory Square) on Ponce De Leon Ave, I arrived around 3:30pm on a Sunday and was out before 4:00pm. Not a bad wait. I went to the Buckhead store to switch over my cell and internet services from T-Mobile. The young lady who helped me behaved as if she were selling used mattresses. She came across as very untrustworthy, too slick and completely dishonest. The whole time I dealt with her my gut kept saying "leave, now!" And as it turns out, my gut wasn't wrong as a few days later I received a bill from Xfinity that was completely contrary to what the store rep stated to me in the store. Interestingly enough, I'd visited this store about three months before this visit to discuss switching over my services. And on that visit, I was greeted by the same woman who eventually helped. However, on that initial visit, I listened to my gut and left the store. So upon receiving the incorrect bill, I returned to the store to speak to a manager. Apparently, manager with whom I spoke came from the same school of dishonesty and poor customer service as the rep who had lied to me on my earlier visit. And instead of seeking to correct the issue or address my complaints, he informed me that I misunderstood the previous rep. While my verdict is still out on the quality of Xfinity's cell/internet service, my opinion on their in-store customer service is that it sucks, they lie and they stand by their lies. read more

We have tried for several days to get a transfer pin. We have been to the store in person 3 times. We have spoken to no fewer than 6 representatives. The only manager we spoke to put us in a phone loop. We have been directed to go through the app several times. It did not work. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. . We signed into the mobile website an and it said we had no account, even though we were talking on the mobile phone with Xfinity Service. Now the gentleman, from a call center somewhere in Asia, is now sending us to yet another number. It is Monday, September 23, 2024. We started this process last Friday. They keep insisting for "security reasons " they can only generate the number on the website, even though Boost Mobile did it on the phone in less than 10 minutes. I went in to this store to buy a new phone, checked in with an employee, and took a seat. As I waited I noticed a lot of customers who had come in after me had already been helped and left. I assumed they had appointments or were requesting a different service than me. After waiting 45 minutes I thought it appropriate to check my spot in the queue, only to find out "someone had removed" me. I was told I would be added next in line, but they weren't able to give me a time estimate. At that point I just cut my time loss and left. Pretty disappointing! read more

The absolute worst service I have ever had. have spent over 8 hours combined to resolve internet issues, have had to go through the automated prompts each time, only to be placed on a perpetual hold. I have been hung up on, disconnected, assured that my service was reinstated only to wake up to find that I am yet again without service. Comcast notified me that there was a balance on my account from over four years ago. I have not change my email or phone number and never received any notification that a balanced was owed. I was instructed that I was unable to transfer my service out of state and told to turn my equipment back into my nearest location. I then promptly set up my a new account back in Georgia. I have paid on time faithfully for 6 years and never heard once about this balance. Comcast will reset my service and assure me that my service has been reconnected and my, "past due balance" has been resolved. RUN DONT WALK! DO NOT GET COMCAST!!! read more

I rent part of a home in West Rome. We have xfinity cable. They reached out to us and said we needed to upgrade our router. I warned her that xfinity doesn't things for their customers, it will only benefit them. I pay half the bill so I will now have to pay for what xfinity did. They sent us the new one and I returned the old one. The new one wouldn't work most of the time. They told us they would send a repairman to fix it, he came and found it was an xfinity issue on the pole down the street. Internet began working the next day. Today we saw where xfinity took $100.00 out of our account for the repair. We called and they said it was our repair to pay for. We are looking for another internet service now. I'd give them zero stars if I could... My review is long, but you should read it if your using their internet service. We have been with comcast for over four years, and time and time again there are days we our internet is down... We call up, tell them what the problem is, and they claim it is our modem. Of course, not to be rude or anything, but I am a computer specialist, and I don't need the 'read off the computer tech help' is your computer on, is your modem on, did you restart your computer or modem... These are things I do way, before I even call assisting for support. At our home we use the internet a lot, we watch screamed movies through netflix, download a lot of songs off itunes for our iphone, and we send and upload a lot of huge images and movies from our cameras. Sometimes, I even do huge data backups which can be well over 200+gb big... This is not something I do often, but I do them every so often. Well, as of this week our internet is not working for three days, so I figured it just was done. We had times where our internet did not work for an entire two weeks, and then it worked again. Since this Monday, my wife and I just got married two weeks ago, and we have been sending over a hundred plus emails, with huge attachments of our wedding photos and videos. So yes, this uses a lot of bandwidth. My wife gets a phone call TUESDAY from COMCAST sales department asking her if she would like to upgrade her cable service and get home internet... Of course, she has no idea what happened to our home internet and tells the guy on the phone, we already have internet... So she gets transfered to a few different people, and no one has any idea if we have internet service. Finally, she gets transfered to their security department and they tell her our internet has been canceled, because we use to much bandwidth. There was email, no letter sent to our house, no phone calls, except from the sales department asking if we wanted to order internet service... (clearly, this information is not put into their computer system... and shared by different departments..). So, as of now we have NO internet service and cannot use Comcast internet at our home for 1 year. I searched online and it appears that comcast started this new bandwidth policy as of OCTOBER 1st.... Yet, they do not send out their policies to their customers, do not give phone calls, emails... they expect their customers to know this on their own. This is taken right off comcasts website: " We will continue to contact the top users of our high-speed Internet service and ask them to curb their usage " --- They never contacted us telling us to curb our usage, how else would be know if we used to much? " If a customer uses more than 250 GB and is one of the top users of our service, he or she may be contacted by Comcast to notify them of excessive use. " --- Above it says we will continue to contact, but then it says we "MAY" be contacted... " For example, we have posted a preview of the amended AUP as a PDF on this page. We are also running banner notices on our http://Comcast.net home page and on our Security Channel Web page to alert customers about this upcoming change. " --- it states on Comcasts website that they posted this information in PDF format on their website, how do people know to check their site? or Security Channel Web page? Customers have no reason to check http://comcast.net for anything.... I have never checked their website, only when I signed up... No one uses http://Comcast.net to check their daily news or weather.... I will say comcast internet is typically pretty fast when it works, I will say that the cable seems to work pretty good when it works... However, their support is awful, their updated policies are never sent to their customers... COMCAST does not provide any type of tools for customers to monitor their usage of their bandwidth. Maybe if we had tools to manage our bandwidth, like MOBILE PHONE companies have ways for us to manage our cellular phone minutes, then we would know how much we have left... Comcast clearly does not care about their customers, because if they did, they would do what is necessary to keep happy customers. We will cancel our $80 cable tv package, and move to directtv and at&t home internet... which cost less and provides many more cancels. read more

Although this company is reviewed in the ground I have to voice my opinion. I decided to go with Comcast for the simple fact some of the other companies didn't service my area, plus I didn't want a hideous dish on patio, plus I've worked for D TV and I know their scam. Well I was actually really happy with my service in the begining. The technician went above and beyond to provide me with great service. WELL this last Monday I realized my phone had no dial tone so I call comcast to have them check this out being that no dial tone no alarm. The technician comes to my house Wednesday and unplugs the alarm and according to him this is the resolution to my problem. I call comcast and advise them of what the tech did and if anything happens to me or my house while I wait for another idiot technician Comcast is responsible. Here it is Monday and I am still waiting for Comcast to revisit my place of residence. I call Thursday to see what is going on, that person didn't know anything, I call Friday and speak to manager who didn't know anything, I call Saturday and was suppose to be receiving a call from a rep. with an ETA, still waiting on that call. Today I've had enough. I call Comcast and explode!! The girl I was speaking with was so rude and all around dense, I demanded that I speak to a manager, she tries to tell me that speaking to a manager isn't going to solve anything. Xfinity has been charging me for a line for over a year. EVERYTIME I asked a representative about they said it was nothing. I closed my account with them and called on December 3rd because they took $228.99 out of my account and asked about the extra account that I've been paying for and the representative, Joy, said that I will be getting a refund back. Xfinity was still charging me for phone lines and iPad line even though I changed services with them. I called Xfinity four different times and each time a representative tells me something different. I was told even though I ported out my number they were still charging me because I never said I wanted to cancel. December 3 I definitely told the representative I should not be paying for any lines because I am no longer with the company and everything should be CANCELED. Instead of stopping all the lines she stopped one and I ended up calling again. Now it is January 2 and they took out $133.69. I called back and was told again that I was going to get a refund and was also given a confirmation for it. I I called today, January 12th to check on the status of the refund and was told that I was not getting it. I don't work and this company has been stealing from me. If I could give negative stars I would! On December 4 I called about getting new service run to our new home in Woodstock. This is a new construction development with 4 homes. The neighbor right outside our neighborhood has Comcast! First call I was told a request needed to be put in to see if the address was serviceable, and the agent would call me back within 48-72 hours. December 6 I called back..an agent then said " I can't believe they haven't called you back, they are usually very quick with this type of response. Let me put a note on your account stating you called and need an answer." I then called back December 9, another agent told me "it could be up to 10 business days before they have an answer back from the CAR department." On December 12 we got an automated call saying "your address is not serviceable" December 13 I called and was told a request was put in to CAR to make the road and homes serviceable. I asked for a timeline and they couldn't give me one. I called daily for ten days to try and get some kind of timeline or responsible response! I got a different answer every time I called. " We can't run lines until the development is completed" "Well I see here we told you on December 12..." "Let me send you to our moving department" The agents would tell me whatever they could so I would just hang up. The agent who sent me to the moving department ended up sending me to technical support. Technical support laughed and responded " I am the furthest guy to be able to assist you." He did the best he could and transferred me to where he thought I could be helped. But nope that guy just said "My supervisor said we expedited your ticket and that is all we can do at this point." I have asked to speak directly to the CAR department just so I can receive some kind of timeline... and I have gotten "I don't have access to that department," "My supervisor said they don't have a direct line," "I will email that department and have them call you withing 3 hours" (no one ever called). Mind you through this whole thing every time I call the only notes in Xfinity's system is from December 12 when we were told address was serviceable. The developer of my community has been trying since February 2019 to get internet ran!! During my multiple calls I have been answering survey questions. I got a call back about one of my many surveys I completed. That agent directed me to their moving department. I immediately called that number in hopes they could assist me. Come to find out it is a third party company called Porch.com. The agent their said he would set up a technician to come out in 4 days and do a survey on the house and the tech would call in a work order to get a line run. The day before the actual appointment we get a confirmation from Xfinity with the wrong address. We called Porch.com back and they said the address they show is correct, and we needed to call Xfinity. So I called Xfinity... They told me "the address is not serviceable, and let me transfer you to the CAR department." The first question I asked the agent when she picked up was "Is this the CAR department?" her response was yes. Then after she went through all my notes she said their is nothing I can do until I get an update from the original agent who put in the order on December 12. I asked " Is there a direct line I can call you back on, since no one can seem to direct me to you?" Her response is I am just the billing department, you can call 1800Comcast. If i could have reached through the phone and smacked that woman I would have. So now our appointment has been cancelled. My husband works from home and we have kids! Who can live without internet these days. We close this Friday December 27 and can't even move into our new home because my husband can't even work! I even at one point told the agent "Whatever amount of money needs to be thrown at this, let me know!" We live in a modern world and we have no other option other then Comcast and they do not give two licks about their customers.
