The expert workmanship of a Xfinity tech!

I have had Xfinity for years now and would recommend them if you live in a house. If you live in an apartment however I would hope you have better luck finding an isp than Comcast/xfinity. In the years I have had the service I have had numerous issues, though they have been sporadic. When it runs properly it's great albeit expensive, when something is wrong though, you will have no service with no help for days to weeks at a time. As indicated above please look for a different isp if you live in an apartment, the techs for xfinity are terrible normally causing mayhem any time they are called out. I have had a tech come to another building and when he was done I had to wait five days for another tech to fix my now down connection. Also if you have to see their service I hope for you they send the outside help from Texas, these techs have fixed my issues in no time and we're early for appointments, helpful and friendly. I wish I could switch from xfinity, but no isp gives more than a 20mb connection where I am. Your mileage may vary, hopefully if you see this you can get att fiver or some other service. In closing I feel xfinity is fairly good, i primarily lay many issues at the door of the techs who just don't give a damn about the company's reputation in my experience.

My power went out today which took the cable and internet. Power came back but cable and internet are down still and have been for 5 hours. I called to talk to a service representative and the recording refuses to allow me to do that because power is out in my area, which it's not. Just to make sure I called the power company and they confirmed all power has been restored. So I'm basically never going to get my service back because they believe the power is off is the problem and refuses to address this.

do not use them. they will screw you over. horrible customer service. horrible everything. go somewhere else, they are horrific!

I have been trying to cancel service for almost a month they will not call me back. I've called several times including today and I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and a Better Business Bureau review everywhere I can leave a review. I am leaving a bad review until they call me and cancel this. Otherwise they're taking money out of my account every month and I can't stop them. It's like a cult.

It was the same thing every year, call them up and tell them that my bill was too high and then they would enact some discounts that would save me about $30 a month but were only good for a year. So the next year I'd have to call them up and do it all over again. Well last November when I called to complain about my bill they refused to lower the rate. I guess that now they're a part of AT&T they are unwilling to negotiate on price. So I decided to try switching to DISH. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! DISH suckers you in with their low initial rate but then once you add in extra packages to get what you want it ends up costing MUCH more. I believe their current introductory package starts off at $39. Sounds pretty good right? But wait, you want local channels? Well that's not included. You have to pay an extra $10 a month for that. Who the hell doesn't want local channels?!?! You want a DVR? That's extra also. You have 2 TV's? Yep there's an extra charge for that too. So my monthly bill ended up being $70 a month. That's quite a jump from $39 but still better than I was getting with DirecTV so I decided to go for it. The phone operator told me about the 2 year contract and I told him, "Hey wait a minute. I'm not signing up for 2 years when I haven't even tried your service out yet." I forget what he told me exactly but he definitely gave me the impression that I could cancel if I didn't like the service. When the DISH installer came out to set up my equipment I also asked him about a trial period and he told me I had 30 days to cancel. So everything was going OK until the day of the Super Bowl. We missed the end of the game so I tried to find highlights on ESPN only to find out the package I had did not include ESPN!!!! I called up DISH and was told, "If you want sports channels, that's an extra $10 a month." Gimme a break. What a scam! So now I'd have to pay $80 a month for pretty much basic cable. No pay channels like HBO. I just wanted the standard stuff like Food Network, HGTV, ESPN. So the next higher package was $84 a month and included ESPN but took away DIY and Cooking Channel!!!!! How frickin lame!!! So now I wasn't saving money over DirecTV anymore and decided to cancel the service. I had DISH send out the installer to remove their DISH and take their boxes back. To top it all off now they're trying to charge me a $500 early termination fee even though 2 people at their company told me their was a trial period!! I have filed a complaint with the Denver Better Business Buereau and I will be taking DISH to small claims court if they refuse the waive the fee. Stay far away from this company people. Their channel packages are completely predatory and set up so that the only way you can get the channels you want is to pay for the expensive plans.

Chris and the team at Audio Visual Artistry knocked this project out of the park! We were so…read moreexcited when we bought a house with a great living room set up and beautiful theater room, only to find out that the projector and ceiling mounted "surround sound" speakers were of low quality, not tuned, and cheap even by 2007 standards. So I did some looking around and found AV Artistry. I thought it was a little strange that a company with 150 reviews still had all 5 starts. Well from the first interaction with Gabby on the phone, to Chris agreeing to and completing a walk through the house with me before we closed, to the extreme attention to detail by James and the rest of the installation team...now I can see why! When it comes to visual aesthetics I am blessed (or cursed) and can't help but see minuscule details associated with symmetry, leveling, and proportion. So with that, normally I end up micro-managing every detail of contract work because if it isn't perfect then I'll end up staring at that one flaw forever and won't appreciate the whole project. So...to walk back into my living room, after they hung my large tv, look at it and have absolutely nothing to correct was shocking. I was super impressed with their work. They also installed a new Yamaha receiver and Universal Remote Control with RF transmitter and remote receiver. I finally don't have to keep track of 4 different remotes. Everything I need to do from watching something on the cable box, to Apple TV, to BlueRay can be done from a single, classy remote with an LCD screen which has individual programmed icons for each source. They also installed new Master Artist speakers- more on that later. Then I walked upstairs to the theater. I was amazed at how bright the new JVC Laser DLP projector looks. Even with the window shades open and lights on it doesn't look like a projector- it looks like a huge tv! (The iPhone pictures don't do it justice) The guys hooked me up with the same Yamaha receiver and URC setup. They even programmed identical icons in the same order as downstairs so everything is uniform. There is that attention to detail again. Now who wants an awesome picture, perfectly aligned and focused just to have weak, out of tune, non-surround sound audio being presented. Not I. When the guys got on site and Chris found out what I had installed in the ceiling he made a recommendation. He has some custom Master Artist speakers and they sound great! Those speakers in the ceiling, combined with a banging subwoofer, meticulously tuned and calibrated brought the big movie theater experience to my home. I feel like the more I listen to them the sound projects more depth and keeps getting clearer. After all was said and done, I had James walk me through every detail of the system and we tested everything. Normally at this point, after working all day, technicians just want to hand you the product and bail. Not James, he stayed as long as I needed him. He explained and we tested every option, source, airplay device, etc. He made sure I fully understood how it worked and answered all of my questions. These Yamaha receivers also have app integration. We were able to walk around the house playing the different songs from different rooms, toggle the sound on/off, or mute the whole thing. I was even able to stream different sources (or the same) to individual rooms all from my phone simultaneously. That is what defines a true professional from someone (or company) that is just good at their job. AV Artistry takes expert knowledge, applies outstanding customer service, and delivers a superior product experience! Reading this review back makes me laugh as it sounds like a paid advertisement, but truthfully...I am just very, very impressed with the craftsmanship, final product and entire experience; and I am not easily impressed. Congratulations guys, you earned all 5 stars.

Over the course of a few weeks, my mind quickly began to change. The custom made speakers, beautiful flat screen, and home network were truly worth the investment. My family loves to gather for movie night, and the home network ended all buffering. They were also very tidy throughout the process. We needed to have sheetrock repaired to close the areas where our old speakers were housed. The workmanship was impeccable. You cannot tell that there were repairs. I would definitely recommend AV Artistry for any of your audio or visual projects. You won't regret it.
