Hoodwinked! I have an account with another internet provider but received information from Xfinity that GIGABIT SPEED 100MB is now available in my area! It would be nice to have more bandwidth, so I researched online for a few days and decided to make the switch to Xfinity (100MB + Preferred 200+TV). I prefer to speak face-to-face so I canceled my virtual cart and headed to the store on Poplar/Highland. GOOD: + Clean Store; Like-new appearance; Good presentation inside + Social Distance -limited customers inside, face coverings, plexiglass partitions, enforced 6' separation in the line outside of the store, etc. + Friendly Workers +Knowledgeable Staff +Products -like 100MB Internet Speed NOT GOOD: -Their SALES TECHNIQUE was very "shady" and made me feel like they couldn't be trusted. (1) Three of their employees helped helped me (together). Why? Was 1 or 2 of them training? Being evaluated? At times it felt like they wanted to intimidate me to choose an option. I knew exactly what I wanted when I arrived there. (2) Trust. In his presentation, there was a very quick mention that since I am the first on my street to get Xfinity, I would have to pay an additional $80.00. WAIT! WHAT? I received notice that this was available to me now? So I asked him to explain and if he would ask about waiving the connection fee. He agreed and so we continued. But he never did and appeared to have no intention of really doing so. They ran a credit check, set up an account, etc. I was in the final stages of the sale & I kept asking him if he was going to ask a manager about the fee. His last statement was that he would see about it later, after the sale, so I felt I had to leave. Why would he lie about this to get the sale? I likely would have agreed. Why would the other 2 associates not do or say otherwise? This behavior would lead me to believe this is the common practice with Xfinity. (3) During my time there he would keep going back to asking me questions about the kind of shows that I watch. I already told him when we first introduced ourselves. I already knew what package I wanted (Preferred 200+). Was he trying to get me to purchase addition channels? Was he trying to build report by small-talk? Was he trying to change the subject and have me forget the request to waive the $80 fee? I don't know, but it was wasting our time. Also: Expect the typical Nickle & Dime fees (like most ISPs) TV fees, DVR fee, Modem/Router rental, etc. I am interested in their product, but I'm very disappointed in their team. read more

Xfinity Store by Comcast - Social Distanced Line Outside - Television Service Providers Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

If I could give a negative star rating I would. Stopped by the store and the workers were unhelpful. In my opinion, Xfinity/Comcast should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. As described below, CONcast engaged in what I believe to be deceptive sales practices to gain rights to a tremendous amount of personal data. I was a diamond level customer with over ten years with CONcast. Prior to the August 22 storm, my service was stable and my modem/router functioning properly. Service went out during the storm. CONcast kept trying to tell me service was restored when it wasn't. Finally got a tech out Saturday, Sept 5, who acknowledged damage to the line. CONcast then claimed service restored, but for some reason my modem wouldn't 't connect. Spent more than an hour on-line chat in an attempt to resolve. Told me my model was "end of life" (no, it's less than 6 months old and is DOCSIS 3.0) and would no longer work with the service I had. Found this strange since it worked fine before the storm and I had not requested any changes to my service. TWICE when they were going to schedule a tech to replace the modem, the chat abruptly ended. On the second chat, the CONcast "bot" suggested I get a service upgrade and that would allow my modem to work again. I actually read the privacy policy I would have had to agree to for the "upgrade" and was blown away by how much personal data they were claiming right to take off of any device connected. The "bot" claimed the data would only be taken if I signed up for Peacock, but the privacy policy stated outherwise. When questioned about this, the "bot" dodged answering but I kept pointing out the dodge and repeating the question until the "bot" acknowledged that the privacy policy would allow my data to be taken even without signing up for Peacock. When I declined and asked for the modem replacement, the chat abruptly disconnected. I saved the chat and and am going to turn it over to the TN AG for possible deceptive sales practices based on some clearly false statements by the "bot." Today I finally got a human (I think, maybe AI) on the line and multiple times told her that I wanted to CANCEL my service. Even after clearly telling her this at least three times, she STILL tried to sell me on a new modem, very disrespectful. read more

On Feb 19, 2026, I visited the Xfinity Store by Comcast (Poplar & Humes, Memphis, TN) because I wasn't receiving OTP codes or text messages. Amanda provided exceptional customer service--professional, patient, empathetic, and truly committed to helping me. She worked through account access issues, caught and canceled an unexpected SIM shipment, and tried to activate a new SIM in-store. Even when chat support wasn't helpful, she kept advocating and troubleshooting until my OTP messages started working again. Amanda deserves recognition--10/10. Opportunity for improvement: a calmer, less rushed leadership presence would make the experience feel even more supportive during complex issues. read more

We've had unlimited internet for many years with Xfinity; now the quality of our services has declined. The last 3-4 days no service or on and off again. Both my husband and I have home businesses, this effects our incomes. Xfinity gives us a dry reply on "we will notify you when service is restored" This reply is UNACCEPTABLE" And is Xfinity going to reimburse us for our loss of income or even credits for days without use? read more

I took my elderly Mom in just to pay her bill because they are still trying set up an all in one app for their system which in my opinion is not a good idea for the elderly I walk into the store with my Mom a d let her do the talking she told the staff that the system said she had to come into the store to make a payment they simply pointed to the touch screen and walked away she went to screen and stood there confused so I walked over and did the transaction for her read more

Xfinity will charge you for service you do not have. You have to keep track of their billing system.

Their wifi is trash, at BARE MINIMUM you will experience problems once a month. We have yet to have a non-problematic month, I am moving out of the house I'm at and 1000% will never be using them again read more

OMG. The whole operation has been totally revamped. The system is so much smoother. You check in when you walk in and get a ticket with your name and each rep has a desk number. There's a list of who's next in line on a screen and a you get a ticket number either name on it. When it's your turn, they call your name to the next available desk number. Took just five minutes to get to a rep from the moment I came in! Gwen, the Xfinity rep, was amazing! She really knew her stuff! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I have never written a review before but comcast should be renamed scamcast. I used their service for several years. I canceled my service but they kept billing me. I canceled my service again but they kept billing me. This went on for several months. I could not get the charges cleared even though I was not using their services. I was living in a different city using a different provider. They eventually sent my bill to collections and I had to pay. Comcast are greedy scum read more

This is a review for the company as a whole. Not for this service center. This service center has always been great. However, DO NOT GET COMCAST. My internet has not worked 50% of the time for the last 4 months. Phone call after phone call, it would work the next two days then stop. Brand new equipment and everything. Being on the phone from 30 minutes to 4 hours total every week to get it fixed and NOTHING. Upon cancellation I asked if I could do a survey for the company and was told that every survey they do is for the representative you're talking to. So if you give a bad review the person on the phone gets into trouble. It's not taken into account for Comcast itself. read more

Worst connections, too expensive, and horrible customer service... My internet and cable went out last Sunday and I call them to have it fixed, they ended up needing to send someone out to fix it. The earliest they could get someone out was in a week! So I pay a ton of money every month to not have Internet and cable for a whole week. I am a student and I must have Internet access, so I called them again to ask for an earlier time and the lady, who was very friendly at least, put us on a list to have the process sped up and she assured me someone would call me in the next couple hours to schedule an earlier time, never got a call. I tried to have them come install internet at my old house in 2013. Appointment after appointment was made in the course of a week and they never showed up for any of them or called either. Great way to show they wanted my business. read more

Poor service. Would not allow me to subscribe to advertised service over the phone so I had to order it online instead. Got the self install version which did not work. Said they would send a technician 5 weeks later! Needless to say I cancelled the service. read more

I would give them a zero if I could. I left u-verse for xfinity as they offered me a lower rate. Got my first bill and it was $30 higher than u-verse! Absolutely horrible experience. Went to the xfinity office to transfer services to my name on Friday, since my roommate is moving. My cable wasn't working when I got home. I called them on 4 separate occasions, over the course of the weekend. No one could figure out what was wrong. I asked to have a service tech scheduled, and was told (on 2 separate occasions) that someone would call me back with the appointment. No call. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that I asked for the supervisor's manager, and threatened to cancel everything (cable, Internet, and home security), that amazingly they were able to get it working. 4 phone calls, 4 days, and 5 employees. Completely unacceptable. read more
