Chris and the team at Audio Visual Artistry knocked this project out of the park! We were so excited when we bought a house with a great living room set up and beautiful theater room, only to find out that the projector and ceiling mounted "surround sound" speakers were of low quality, not tuned, and cheap even by 2007 standards. So I did some looking around and found AV Artistry. I thought it was a little strange that a company with 150 reviews still had all 5 starts. Well from the first interaction with Gabby on the phone, to Chris agreeing to and completing a walk through the house with me before we closed, to the extreme attention to detail by James and the rest of the installation team...now I can see why! When it comes to visual aesthetics I am blessed (or cursed) and can't help but see minuscule details associated with symmetry, leveling, and proportion. So with that, normally I end up micro-managing every detail of contract work because if it isn't perfect then I'll end up staring at that one flaw forever and won't appreciate the whole project. So...to walk back into my living room, after they hung my large tv, look at it and have absolutely nothing to correct was shocking. I was super impressed with their work. They also installed a new Yamaha receiver and Universal Remote Control with RF transmitter and remote receiver. I finally don't have to keep track of 4 different remotes. Everything I need to do from watching something on the cable box, to Apple TV, to BlueRay can be done from a single, classy remote with an LCD screen which has individual programmed icons for each source. They also installed new Master Artist speakers- more on that later. Then I walked upstairs to the theater. I was amazed at how bright the new JVC Laser DLP projector looks. Even with the window shades open and lights on it doesn't look like a projector- it looks like a huge tv! (The iPhone pictures don't do it justice) The guys hooked me up with the same Yamaha receiver and URC setup. They even programmed identical icons in the same order as downstairs so everything is uniform. There is that attention to detail again. Now who wants an awesome picture, perfectly aligned and focused just to have weak, out of tune, non-surround sound audio being presented. Not I. When the guys got on site and Chris found out what I had installed in the ceiling he made a recommendation. He has some custom Master Artist speakers and they sound great! Those speakers in the ceiling, combined with a banging subwoofer, meticulously tuned and calibrated brought the big movie theater experience to my home. I feel like the more I listen to them the sound projects more depth and keeps getting clearer. After all was said and done, I had James walk me through every detail of the system and we tested everything. Normally at this point, after working all day, technicians just want to hand you the product and bail. Not James, he stayed as long as I needed him. He explained and we tested every option, source, airplay device, etc. He made sure I fully understood how it worked and answered all of my questions. These Yamaha receivers also have app integration. We were able to walk around the house playing the different songs from different rooms, toggle the sound on/off, or mute the whole thing. I was even able to stream different sources (or the same) to individual rooms all from my phone simultaneously. That is what defines a true professional from someone (or company) that is just good at their job. AV Artistry takes expert knowledge, applies outstanding customer service, and delivers a superior product experience! Reading this review back makes me laugh as it sounds like a paid advertisement, but truthfully...I am just very, very impressed with the craftsmanship, final product and entire experience; and I am not easily impressed. From the outset of my initial conversations with Chris in an effort to acquire additional information and insight about AVA's product line, services and costs, he demonstrated an extensive degree of knowledge and expertise relative to virtually every aspect of the home entertainment business. Moreover, he was extremely personable and engaging, and was clearly focused upon providing the optimal customer satisfaction experience while simultaneously providing high-quality, meticulously-crafted sound, video and security equipment at a very reasonable cost. At my request, he personally visited my home and patiently listened to my desired outcome relative to the creation of an innovative yet effective design plan for the installation of high-fidelity systems within the interior of our brand new residence in spite of the fact that our home had essentially been constructed without the addition of any pre-installed AV or security surveillance features, let alone any basic cabling outlets or wiring infrastructure. Undaunted, Chris quickly and astutely assessed this situation and provided his recommendations, options and price estimates on behalf of developing an appropriate yet cost-effective plan for outfitting my home with a superior level of equipment that would not only significantly maximize our viewing/listening pleasure and in-home security posture, but would simultaneously increase the value of our property as well. After spending a considerable amount of time online reviewing comments about Chris's work on projects for prior clients and seeing how his business had garnered an impressive reputation for skill, reliability and service, I approved his proposal for my project. Moved into our new home, well over a year in the making. A Custom home with many custom features, high end appliances fixtures etc. But hands down, the most exciting feature is our media room/ home theatre. We did our homework to select the right company and AVA did not disappoint. I was ultimately sold after my first visit to their showroom and talking with Chris Rogers, the co-owner of AVA. I was absolutely blown away with the demo and system they showed me and I ended up buying one of the exact systems they have in the show room.... the Master Artist, Van Gogh system , custom made speakers with Dynaudio drivers. I love music first and foremost and buying a system with the best sound was a priority. The sound is both intense and clear at the same time. I've had a thing for great 2 channel sound and high end speakers for decades and I was absolutely blown away by the sound. It's a combination of the custom Master Artist speakers and matching them to the right power. Chris designed the perfect system. We added a great 4K projector with a picture as good as going to a theatre. We were so impressed with every aspect of not only the system but the entire team and the process... we later had them add and integrate a home alarm system and video surveillance all tied into an app (including alarm, TV's, home surveillance etc). They even helped us integrate our front gate and the communications for that. Finally, one last element was that when we moved into the new home, we found we had poor cell reception. Our home was in a sort of dead spot / cell tower and we were dropping cell calls with one bar or less of a signal. I wasn't even aware this 'was a thing' ... but AVA was able to install a cell booster that improved our signal to four bars. I can't say enough about how impressed we are with this company, their team and the products they sell.... especially the Master Artist custom speakers. Even if you aren't in the market today... go to the studio and hear them. Listen to a concert video and you will swear you are front row center. Listen / watch a movie and it will feel like you are in the movie.... much different experience for example than listening to a high end system at Best Buy. (to say the least). We went very high end but there were other options also that AVA had that sounded very good. When in the market for home theatre or any custom integration... don't hesitate to use these guys. Not sure why there are only 5 star reviews on google and yelp... but they don't deserve it from us I won't speak for other AVA staff but the two guys who came to house were not professional, rude and belittling. Not aware of a switch to control outlet. Took the extra installation from our house without asking us. I mentioned this to chris and he promised to look into this... never heard back. We're the best'. Chris set very high expectations when we first met... and then delivered! Very high quality and customer focused. We installed a full Crestron integrated system (Lights, Sound, Audio). The music system is Dynaudio powered by Anthem throughout the house and outside, but the theater is another level. Quickly into this Covid thing we realized we needed a large outdoor v so our family could enjoy watching horse racing and sports while not being crammed together on our small porch. The only company I would ever consider for this job is AVA. Why? Because they earn our business every time with top notch service for...... drum - roll.....the last 18 years!!! Brad and his team installed a home theater, home automation (including motorized shades) and audio in our New York City apartment in early 2014. I chose AVA because they came highly recommended and were at a superior price to the local dealers/installers. Since I live about 1,000 miles away, I had to put a lot of trust into AVA and the systems and products that they stood behind. Brad and his team performed a wonderful installation job. Most of the work was done remotely (system set up and programming) and Brad and his team flew up a couple of times to perform the installation. Although I have had a couple of minor issues (which I am told is common given the complexity of the system), Brad and his team have always been very responsive and have been able to resolve issues remotely. read more

Had them wire our house, which is an old midtown house, when we renovated. Still had a few issues due to signal strength with old thick plaster walls and whatnot, and they worked hard to resolve all issues and when we have needed maintenance over the years they have been prompt and efficient. In dealing with other AV companies in the past, they all seem attentive in initial sales and installation because that's the big ticket job, but they are often much less helpful on post-installation service calls, but this is where AVA seems to set themselves apart. read more
