I signed up for Xfinity service in preparation for my upcoming move to Islamorada. Since the Xfinity store in Islamorada was not open this weekend, I contacted a live Xfinity agent to ask whether I could pick up my equipment at a store in Coconut Creek instead, which is 5 miles away from my parents home.. I was specifically told that, as long as the store was in the same state, I would be able to pick up the equipment there. We drove to the Coconut Creek store tonight, only to be told that they could not give us the equipment because Coconut Creek and Islamorada are in different counties. My wife then called Xfinity customer service, and a service agent confirmed that the county does not matter and that the store should be able to provide us with the equipment needed for service. My wife brought the phone into the store so the Xfinity associate could speak directly with the Xfinity agent and get clarification. Unfortunately, the Xfinity's employee behavior toward both my wife and the Xfinity representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. At one point, one of the employees walked outside to take out the trash because he apparently did not want to deal with the situation. Another employee spoke to the Xfinity agent on the phone and immediately asked, "Are you new?" in a clearly dismissive manner. The most unacceptable comment, however, was when another employee told my wife, "She's probably from India and doesn't even speak English." That kind of comment is completely inappropriate and has no place in a customer service environment. Despite having an Xfinity representative confirm that the county restriction did not apply, we were still refused the equipment. We ultimately left without it and now have to find an alternative way to get the equipment we were promised. We did not get the employees' names, but they were working the shift immediately before closing on Friday, August 14, 2026. I hope Xfinity reviews what happened and addresses both the misinformation we were given and, more importantly, the extremely disrespectful way we were treated. For anyone considering Xfinity/Comcast, learn from my experience. What should have been a simple service issue has turned into one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. A cable issue on my property remains unresolved. I've spent days making phone call after phone call, explaining the same situation over and over, getting transferred between departments, receiving conflicting information, broken promises, and absolutely no sense of urgency. No one owns the problem. No one follows up. No one seems empowered to fix it. It's astonishing that a company this large can make a customer work this hard just to get someone to take responsibility. At this point, I'm not just disappointed I'm warning others. If you have another option, seriously consider it. No customer should have to spend this much time fighting for basic service and accountability. Had to return my father's Xfinity equipment as he switched providers. Good riddance to Xfinity, as their internet and home phone charges are outrageous! Walked into the store, which smelled heavily like bathroom cleaner! There were 4 employees behind the counter, engrossed in watching SpongeBob, which was blaring! I went into this Xfinity location as a current internet customer, ready to get a phone line added. Instead, I ended up walking out completely shocked at how disrespectful and unprofessional their staff is. One of the representatives acted like he was the smartest person in the world, talking down to me the entire time. He clearly had zero customer service skills, zero patience, and zero effort to actually help. The attitude alone was enough, but the way he dismissed my questions was unbelievable. Because of one employee's arrogant behavior, they literally lost a customer. It's sad that a company this big allows people with no respect, no communication skills, and no professionalism to represent them. My days!!.. I had a really frustrating experience here today. I've been standing in line since 11:00 AM, and it's now 11:47 AM with barely any progress. The store isn't even busy customers are walking out because of the wait. There are four Xfinity associates working, yet there's no sense of urgency at all. I called on July 1st to make a payment arrangement for July 10th and have my services restored until then. The lady said I was all set and restored my services. However, my services were interrupted on July 5th cuz of non payment that was supposed to be on the 1st according to them. When I called, someone named Seymour said an arrangement was never made and because of a previous arrangement that got broken, that I wasn't aware of, I wasn't eligible for an arrangement and there was nothing they could do. Do not go here. We went there to change plans. Clerk said he couldn't read my wife's phone and asked to see mine. I went in to buy a new internet service for my apartment, after taking excessive information from me the gentleman asks me to use my credit card for a charge of $53.49 saying that this is for my first month and that i have money back guarantee for 30 days to get that money back, i went to cancel the plan 6 days later for being absolutely terrible. The agent said that i owe $10.21 on my bill and that i never gave them the $53.49 although i showed them my amex statement with the address date and time plus the amount. The representatives at the store told me to dispute the transaction because one lf the employees basically robbed you. Thats crazy do not go to this place terrible place. Through the ensuing years the company grew offering new services and increasing internet speeds. In 2010 Comcast unveiled their new brand Xfinity offering television and internet. Comcast is the parent company and Xfinity is the brand. Today the two named are used interchangeably. I recently needed to purchase a new cable internet package. That is when I got the rude awakening that it is almost impossible to speak to a person. They want you to download the app and order your service that way. After trying every which way to come up with a package I thought was a fair price I ended up discovering this store where you can get real in person service. I ended up selecting a package with Chris who just looked at the same app I had access to. Was it cheaper? No. It is what it is. At least I feel that I tried to get the best price I could. I left no stone unturned. It is about $40 more than I really wanted to pay but I didn't have to wait for them to send the equipment. I was able to leave the store with it. When I got home I couldn't set up the internet but I was able to easily reach someone who was able to activate it on their end. The cable box never worked right so I had to take another trip back to the store to a get another one. Fortunately this all took place during the week when I had off from school so I was in and out of the store. The funny thing is Xfinity has called me no less than 20 times asking for a customer service survey that I know they could care less than nothing about. Important note: don't forget to renegotiate your package in the month before it turns a year old. They will jack your bill sky high if you don't make arrangement before then. You can easily see the date on your bill. Also don't think you will save money by choosing something less than unlimited internet. As soon as you run over they automatically purchase more for your account which was what happened to someone in the store. They ended up with a $400 bill when they could have paid much less. Now that everything is set up I am happy with everything except the price. The equipment I was given is light years ahead of my old set up. My HD 4K finally works. The TV news anchors had wrinkles and blemishes I never saw before. I am pleased with the speed of the internet. So far no problems with outages. I get why everyone hates this company so much but I tried to quit them only to come back 3 months later. There aren't a lot of other choices especially if you want TV. You are stuck with them. I have contacted the Xfinity customer center four times in the past week to get an upgrade on our HD cable boxes and Modem. The last person I talked to was thorough, detailed oriented and patient. She was able to help out fix the mistakes that the other 3 customer service reps have made. The earlier representatives would make appointments on the wrong day or month of the year, would tell me that our contract did not allow for an upgrade and that our upgrade was already done....So amazed on how little some of these representatives care about opening the customer file and reading the entire account history to determine how to best help the customer. My advice is that if you know what you want and you don't get the answer you expect. Hang up and call a few minutes later, you should be able to eventually get someone that cares about their job and help you with your request. Always write down the name of the rep and the time you called, so you can have a record of the past interactions with the company. read more
