I ordered two pairs of minimalist running shoes which arrived in a reasonable amount of time (5 days which I consider reasonable shipping by USPS during the pandemic). Prices were reasonable, especially since I used a promotional code that they offered. One pair of shoes was unfortunately slightly too big, so I emailed Pedestrian Shops about doing an exchange. They responded quickly and offered to drop off my replacement pair at my doorstep! I only needed to wait a day before I had my replacement pair in my hands. Kudos to Zoe Polk and the team at Pedestrian Shops! They will definitely get my business again!

I walked back to my car and got it, and she then told me it wasn't the same shoe when they were identical. I had the photo there to show her. They would check it, send an estimate and with acceptance repair and ship it back. That seemed unnecessarily complicated from a place like Boulder, home of many outdoor gear companies and repair support. We stopped in to the place we had purchased it, our REI store being incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of such repairs, though they don't do any themselves. They gave us two names, Bare Boulder being the most comprehensive and a 20 minute drive away, on a prominent street in Lafayette. I called, got info from the owner, Eli, about general pricing and timing. We took the bag of poles out 3 weeks ago, the estimate in person was at the low end of general approximation on the phone. We dropped it off and was told about 3 weeks as my husband had no need to camp with for at least a month. We picked it up today, ready on time and beautifully done with even higher quality cord than original. The shop is amazing, with antique sewing machine display, thousands of sizes and colors of zippers, piles of buckles and straps. It appears he can fix such parts on almost anything, luggage, jackets, backpacks, scuba BC vests, tents handbags, tote bags, recreation gear galore. We will certainly return as we wear out more and more of our gear.

I've had my inserts for a few months now, and my pain has not returned even with me stepping up my running. So, for me, they appear to be working. I do think the product is overpriced. I could afford it, and went in knowing that it might not work and I'd be out several hundred dollars. Many people just can't take that risk with their money, even if they're in great pain. You can get store credit if things don't work in the first 60 days I think it is, but I've heard that process is a bit painful, and you'd get credit for retail list of some high-end Brooks shoes or something - better than nothing, but not very satisfying. I was treated very well at the Broomfield store, and have received sincere, personal email follow-up from my sales associate with good answers and ideas to some questions I had. So, if you're going to go for it, I can certainly recommend the Broomfield store. If I have sustained good results, the zing I've felt from the price will fade I'm sure. That will be a good feeling too!

This store has a children's department with very nice things, but that does cut down on the offerings for women. The selection for men and women in the Boulder store is a little larger so I often buy there too. Nice people in both stores.

This store specializes in "natural" running shoes with minimal soles so that your feet feel the ground more compared with the super cushioned stuff that you find with most mainstream shoe brands. This is literally a mom and pop shop, the owners are a husband/wife team of avid runners and they were super friendly and helpful. They analyzed my running form and also have an option to have custom orthotic cushioning added onto the sole based on your foot shape. Mind you, this wasn't a true custom orthotic made with a mold (which they also do), but this was essentially foam pieces custom cut and glued to the sole to give additional cushioning to key parts of my foot. I can't say I'm a hardcore runner, but I've tried many brands and this pair is one of my favorites. Besides the color which I love, they have elastic shoelaces that you just slip your feet in and tighten. You can also throw the shoes in the washing machine. Most importantly, they feel great to run in. Talking to the owners you can tell they're passionate about running, the owner literally wrote a book on natural running and they threw in a copy of the book with my shoes. I was visiting the area from out of town and did not plan to buy shoes but I love these shoes so much once I wear out my first pair I think I'll order another pair from them. Highly recommend that you drop by and try the shoes on if you're in the area. My package (including the shoes and custom cushioning) was about $180, so a little expensive if you're just a casual runner but about what you'd pay for running shoes from any of the mainstream brands. To be honest though, the shoes are so comfortable and easy to slip on that I sometimes find myself just using them for day to day usage, so I'm getting more utility from them than just running.

I understand they're all tried on, but when I expressed concern the owner snapped back about HER profitability. No response when I emailed them about this. They're selling the same pair on eBay for $39! To think they could have discounted the shoes for me due to excessive shop-worn condition upsets me. I only got $11 off, same as every single new customer, and wish I'd asked for a better pair or that THEY OFFERED. What a disappointing visit to this store and unfortunate customer service from the owner. We'll never buy from here again or recommend it.
