UPDATE 8/29/2026 DO NOT COME HERE 8/18: Eric agreed to a full $520 refund on the condition that I bring the car back for him to remove the tint. I agreed. 8/19: I brought the car back. Eric removed the tint and gave me a $520 refund check, which I deposited the same day. 8/20: Eric publicly responded on Yelp stating that the "$520 refund was issued." That same day, Bank of America notified me that the check had been returned due to a STOP PAYMENT. 8/21: I notified Eric about the returned check. He said he was "not aware" of it. I also contacted 3M directly and was informed that Xclusive Auto is not an authorized 3M dealer, and there would be no 3M warranty unless the installer is an authorized dealer. I'm sharing these screenshots and documentation so other customers can be aware of how this business handled the refund. Based on my experience, I find this business dishonest and would not recommend them. As of 8/29, I still have not received the $520 refund. DO NOT COME I brought my new Tesla here for window tinting. After the initial installation, I found imperfections on multiple windows and brought the car back to have the issues corrected. Unfortunately, I still found problems after the second visit. At that point, I told Eric that I was no longer comfortable leaving my car there for a third installation and asked for a refund. Eric agreed in writing to a full $520 refund on the condition that I bring the car back to have all of the tint removed. I specifically confirmed with him that all tint would be removed and I would receive a full $520 refund, and he replied, "Correct." I brought the car back again, had all of the tint removed, and they left a bunch of residues claiming I can clean it myself and issued me a $520 refund check. I deposited the check into my Bank of America account. The $520 was subsequently removed from my account as a "RETURN ITEM CHARGEBACK" the next day. UNBELIEVABLE DISHONEST BUSINESS!!! This entire experience required multiple trips back to the shop and ultimately left me without the tint and without the refund that had been agreed to and issued. Update: Screenshots of the business owner's unprofessional response to the Yelp review were uploaded. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I initially went in on August 7th for a 3-year ceramic coating. When I arrived, Eric strongly encouraged me to upgrade to the 5-year coating (2 layers). He told me people rarely choose the 3-year option and that customers who do often return 6-8 months later unhappy with the results. He also said a second layer would provide additional protection in situations such as a shopping cart hitting the vehicle. After doing my own research, I found this was not an accurate representation of the product. According to Gyeon's information on Mohs EVO, an additional layer provides only a relatively small increase in longevity--approximately 6-12 months--not impact protection from something like a shopping cart. Based on that, I feel the 5-year coating was presented using misleading claims. Our vehicle had been purchased only 2-3 weeks earlier and had been extremely well cared for. I personally hand wash it and was very familiar with its condition, including the small rock chips and minor imperfections that were already present. I was confident in its condition when I dropped it off. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed deep scratches on the rear corners of both sides of the bumper, along with a noticeable area where the paint had been chipped. These were not present when I dropped it off, and I am confident the damage occurred while the vehicle was in their possession. I brought the damage to Eric's attention, and he strongly denied it could have happened while they had the vehicle. He suggested reviewing the security cameras, which I thought was a fair solution. However, when we went to his office, he said he did not know how to access or review the footage and essentially left it up to me to figure out how the cameras worked. As a result, the footage could not be reviewed, making it impossible to determine what happened while the vehicle was in their care. During the conversation, I was also told that I had apparently gone directly to the scratched area when picking up the vehicle and that I had not allowed Eric to properly inspect it when I dropped it off because I remained in one location while we talked. I found these explanations frustrating, particularly because I knew the vehicle's condition when I brought it in. Eric also brought up a previous customer who claimed a heat gun had caused internal damage to her vehicle. He said he became so angry that he threw the heat gun at the wall. I am not sure why this was brought up or what relevance it had to my situation, but I found it unnecessary and uncomfortable while discussing damage to my own vehicle. Eric also explained that he could not offer a refund or compensation because he pays his employees well and did not make much money on the coating. In my opinion, that should not be the customer's responsibility. If a vehicle is damaged while in a business's possession, the focus should be on addressing the customer's concern and finding a fair resolution. Eric did offer to have the scratches repaired and the bumper repainted at an auto body shop that he owns or is part owner of. I appreciate the offer, but after this experience, I do not feel comfortable having them perform additional work on my wife's vehicle. I told Eric I was dissatisfied and would be leaving a review. He responded that a negative review would not do anything and would actually help him. I found that dismissive, especially when I was simply communicating my experience and concerns. The biggest issue is that I brought my vehicle to a professional shop to enhance and preserve its finish and give myself peace of mind. Instead, I left with additional damage that I now have to spend time and money addressing. It is extremely frustrating to pay for a service intended to protect and preserve the finish, only to have the vehicle returned with deep scratches and visible paint damage that were not there when I dropped it off. It is too soon to fairly evaluate the long-term performance of the ceramic coating itself. My concerns are with the sales presentation, the damage I discovered, and how the situation was handled afterward. My advice to anyone considering this shop is to thoroughly photograph and video your entire vehicle before handing over the keys. That was my mistake. I saw the great reviews, trusted them with my wife's vehicle, and unfortunately learned an expensive lesson. I got all my windows tinted, had paint protection film applied, and ceramic coating. Car already experienced two heavy rains and the films are really effective. Windows are hydrophobic making it easier to clean and the dust doesn't stick on to the car. Eric is very responsive, patient with my questions, and transparent with the prices. My experience with Eric and his business was disappointing. This tint shop was referred to me by a friend. I decide to give it a try, came in on a Saturday to tint my new Model Y. Everything was good, got it back in a day. When I got it back, there was a crease on my sun roof. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and it would "go away", a week later the bubble crease was still there. I texted Eric to get it fix and it was the worst process EVER. I was told I had to drop the car off for 2 days if I wanted come in one the weekend. That sure wasn't the rules when he collected my payment. I was requesting them to fix a mistake on their end. He told me that's how all the shops in the area are and they are considering to not even take cyber trucks or MY because of the large windows. All I got was a bunch of nonsense excuses and how they are super busy and takes walk-in and does wrap. Mmm! I paid for a service and the end product was messed up! Fix it! I finally dropped it off on Friday night and was told I was able to pick it up Sunday. Sunday comes around, it's 2:30 I haven't heard from Eric. I see my car has been outside since the morning with Sentry mode. I called and texted and the phone was off, I called the 800 number and that wasn't going through. Yelp said they were closed and won't open until Tuesday. I decided to make my way down the to shop, halfway there, I get a call saying they just finished my car. I submitted an inquiry via their website and received a response from the owner, Eric, the next day. He mentioned a special: $399 for a 3-year coat and $499 for a 5-year coat with guarantee. We scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday at 9 a.m. On the day of the appointment, I initially planned to go with the 3-year option. It felt a bit like an upsell, but I trusted his professional opinion and went with the 5-year. I dropped the car off at 9 a.m. and received a text at 3:52 p.m. that it was ready. I'll admit I was a little disappointed with the limited post-service interaction. When we scheduled, I mentioned I had questions about the application process and post-care. (To be fair, I forgot to ask when I dropped the car off.) I ended up asking one of his staff members when I arrived for pickup, who gave me basic post care guidance. I guess I was hoping for a bit more customer care--something beyond "drop your car off, pick it up, pay, thank you." That said, the staff I did interact with were polite and professional. I'll follow up in 6 months and again at the 1-year mark with a review on the coating's durability and performance.
