Grilled Salmon dinner special, orange juice and chicken wings.

Excellent lunch and dinner specials (quality, proportion and price). Check their daily drink specials. The X-Site Grill & Bistro is known for their great deals for meals and drinks. It's frequented by a mix of crowds: families, date nights, friend gatherings, bar goers, etc. On weekends, it's best to call in for a reservation, as it does get packed. The interior is spacious, the servers were efficient and polite. The dishes were quite large and the proportions are very generous. Our party opted for several of the dinner specials: Grilled Salmon and Chicken Souvlaki. It was not the best salmon I've tasted, but for the price, it was decent. Would recommend this place for group gatherings with friends or college students.

I've never heard of X-Site Grill & Bistro but a couple of buddies have been eating here since their high school days. That's loyalty right there. Been a few times for dinner (around 7:30pm) and it's been busy. Service was solid. The regular menu consists of appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, specialty clubs, gourmet burgers, pastas and from the grill. Their lunch and dinner specials are wicked; $6.95 (Monday to Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm) and $7.95 (Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm to 9:30pm). For both, one beverage order is required. Trip #1 - Caesar ($3.95) - their Tuesday drink special. A little watered down. - 4x Gourmet burgers ($7.95) - I tried the havarti burger. Nice touch with the dressing on the side. Burger was excellent; good flavour, juicy and well seasoned. Potatoes were tasty. Trip #2 - 2x Local pint ($4.25) - four options (lager, pale ale, IPA and a seasonal). We opted for the seasonal winter ale. Decent. - Raspberry daiquiri ($5.95) - B was pleasantly surprised how good her daiquiri turned out. Couldn't even taste the alcohol. - 4x New York steak (6 oz) ($7.95) - everyone requested medium rare. Steak was tender and an excellent portion size. Can't beat it! Trip #3 - Nachos ($11.95 full size) - decent while we waited for our mains to arrive. - Veggie burger ($8.95) - Classic burger ($10.95) - Chicken souvlaki ($12.95) - New York steak (6 oz) ($7.95) - ordered the Monday special again. Just as good as last time. X-Site is the definition of cheap eats! Will be back to try their other specials.

Great value! The lunch specials are currently $6.95, but require you to buy a drink. Pop is ~$3 so you get a meal and drink for under $10. That's unheard of nowadays. The food is pretty good overall, and served fast. Lunch specials mostly come with Caesar salad and/or garlic toast, none come with french fries if you were expecting that. Their daily drink specials are great too - Tuesdays are 1oz Caesars for $3.95. Almost the same as a soft drink. Service and atmosphere are casual and homey. Nice place to grab a bite. Free parking on Hastings and the side streets.

Came here to say the Club Sandwich and the Chicken Souvaki Lunch Special were the Cats Meow in the case of taste and presentation. The booths were a little cramped but there were more than 4 full sized adults with us so no worries. Street parking wasn't so bad and it's worth the consideration of your time and tastebuds.

Fantastic value! One of the diners in our party has been coming here for years! All of us were pleased with our meals. The meals ordered were garlic shrimp, peppercorn steak, and blackened salmon. The portions included toasted garlic bread, potato, rice, salad & main course for $11.95. All fresh and delicious! They also offer starters, sandwiches, & burgers. They also have lunch specials available from Mon to Sat (11 am to 4 pm) $5.95 and dinner specials available from Mon to Thurs (5 - 9:30 pm) at $6.95, both available with the order of a drink. They are located just off Hastings and Willingdon on the north side of Hastings. Note they are closed on Sundays. Our server was helpful in giving us her opinion on what to choose. We definitely will be back! Good food at great prices!

I went here about a month ago and had a Chicken Curry Linguine ($10.95) it was fresh and tasty. My garlic bread was crispy and the chicken in the linguine was fresh and tasty. The portion was big and I wasn't able to finish it all. Linguine was soft and it was smothered in a curry sauce. I wish it had more flavours in the pasta, but nothing to complain since my pasta was only $10.95. I was already bit full from a garlic bread and I couldn't finish my food. Later I took left over portion to eat it next day. Service was fast.

Gaslight is a strong accusation, but fitting when the host decides to deny your reality, despite given factual proof. I originally made a reservation for 10:30 PM, then moved it to 10:45 PM so that our group could make it on time. My group arrived at 10:44 PM, but the host had to assist a group ahead of us. By the time they finished seating that group, it was 10:47 PM. At that point, the host told us that we "arrived at 10:47" and that they would no longer be able to seat us for a meal because the kitchen was closing. The host completely disregarded the fact that we had arrived before 10:45 and claimed there was nothing they could do. We then asked to speak to the manager, Seerat Dhanoa. She provided conflicting information, which made it quite obvious that they were trying to justify closing the kitchen earlier for convenience on a long weekend. She gave the following explanations: "Ever since COVID, it hasn't been that busy, so we decided to keep the kitchen closed earlier at 11:00 PM." This does not make sense. If we had been seated between 10:47 and 10:53, we would have been able to place our orders before 11:00 PM. Instead, they chose to prolong the argument until 11:00 PM, effectively wasting 15 minutes of our time. She said she tried calling to inform us and left a voicemail stating that if we were not there by 10:45 PM, they would not take our order and would close the kitchen. This allows zero leniency, even if customers are 1-2 minutes late. The call was made around 10:35-10:38 PM, when I was driving to the location and unable to answer. Nowhere on their website or reservation system does it state that a 10:45 PM reservation would result in being denied food before 11:00 PM. I showed her time-stamped messages from all group members confirming arrival at 10:44 PM. This was essentially ignored. At that point, it felt like she was just trying to cover for her team so they could close early. The only response was an apology and an offer for free drinks. In conclusion, the staff at this location deny clear facts and attempt to shift the situation onto the customer to justify poor service, showing no courtesy or accountability. I included photos that show - arrival time - reservation time - Calls made from the manager's phone "Seerat Dhanoa" even before my reservation time. (Also, expecting me to pick up a call while driving, especially when it wasn't identified under the business or company name, is quite unprofessional.) If management decided to close the kitchen early, they should have been upfront about it. Instead, the way this situation was handled is something future customers should be aware of. Side note for Vancouver residents: I typically bring my business to higher-end establishments in Vancouver known for strong service, but for my birthday I wanted something more relaxed and fun. I wasn't expecting that same level -- just basic service, which made this disappointing.

We walked in a few minutes after they opened up on a Tuesday morning and they were able to accommodate our group of six. Although the restaurant was empty upon arrival, it filled up quickly! Service was quick, and our order was taken at a reasonable time. My only negative comment with the service is that we had drank almost all the water - two pitchers were empty - and had set the empty pitchers on one side of the table... At no point did anyone refill our water until we asked at the very end of our dining experience, despite the pitchers being visibly empty. On the other side, the staff members were anticipatory during the ordering process, especially when two members of my party indicated they would be ordering one large clam chowder for the two of them. The server immediately asked if they would like the clam chowder split into two bowls, which was a very kind consideration. I ordered the Truffle Tortellini with prawns and it was DELISH! The mushrooms were yum and the prawns added to the flavor - I found that the perfect bite consisted of a fork-full of one tortellini, one prawn, one piece of mushroom, and one veggie piece. Sooo good! Prior to receiving our entrees, I fell in love with the calamari appetizer we ordered for the table, especially the dipping sauce it came with (I would come back again and devour an entire order on my own). The calamari wasn't too thick or difficult to chew, like some calamari orders elsewhere might be, and the sauce was flavorful. Additionally, the drink menu looked plentiful and had a variety of options that I hope to explore during my next visit!

We ordered some martini, and chicken wings to start with. The martini tastes great, with a hint of mint and lemon drops. Chicken wings were well seasoned and tender, you can tell that they are freshly made. We then each ordered some steak. I had the black truffle butter steak 6 oz, medium rare. I gotta say, the steak was cooked just right, not over, not under. I was impressed with the flavor. The side dishes is on the carb heavy side. It's got the mash potatoes, but also had sliced pumpkin. To me, pumpkin is considered carb, not veggies. I wish we could have something different. We ended up not able to finish all because it was too heavy. Other than that, everything was great. Our server gave us space and time to decide on what we wanted. She was professional yet friendly. I'll have to go back and try something else.

Overall, Claudio's is a great place for a casual meal or a nice dinner with friends or family. It is a good choice if you want to try Italian food in a comfortable and welcoming environment. I would be happy to come back again.
