    Aperol Spritz

Small restaurant inside of hotel that is quiet but charming. The bartender was also my server who was very personal and was quick. I ended up having the pizza with an Aperol spritz which was fantastic. I found that this restaurant was satisfying in the amount of food as well as the taste.

Came by for a holiday dinner and was left feeling a little underwhelmed. Tried the clam chowder, it lacked richness and any substance. For my main I had the chicken with bourbon sauce. The polenta was cheesy and delicious, chicken was cooked and veggies were crispy! The ambiance festive but service was slow

Waffle fries...they would go well with a Mac n Cheese burger but make sure to share with someone else

The waffle fries were good but make sure to skip the salsa. They use a really sweet ketchup (not Heinz) so it hurts the overall taste. Tried the ahi tuna and it was good. Breakfast buffet in the morning was good too. I would give it 3.5 stars but the staff were friendly so I rounded up.

I came here for their Valentine's Day special. I don't know if this was a new menu for them which is why I may have not enjoyed their food. For apps we ordered the cornbread which was super hard and not soft and buttery at all. We ordered the shrimp and pasta. The shrimp pieces were well cooked and seasoned but the pasta was extremely bland. I doused it in salt and pepper in order to eat it. The steak was just fine. The sauce it came with was bad but the meat was fine. Not the best. The only saving Grace was the dessert platter. Everything on the platter was good. It's sad because we really looked forward to enjoying a good meal for Valentine's Day but every course was extremely disappointing.

CAVU stands for - Cake & Vodka Unlimited - my kinda restaurant indeed!!! #LMAO. Ok I'm pretty sure you've all seen on the local wire thread that CAVU won a - Best Burger award!!! Big congrats!!! But I'm actually here for fish & chips - huh!?? Not - LOL! The award winning burger - Le Big Mac N Cheese - is why I'm here of course!!! So let's do this! CAVU (a chilled out lounge type restaurant) located at the Hilton Airport Hotel in Richmond is actually a stones throw away from Richmond Centre Mall & not YVR airport - of note. So don't get lost & go looking for this joint by the airport! How do I rate this award winning burger - this burger is massive at 8oz!!! Can easily feed 3 people! Not suitable for children! Ha! I threw in the towel half way through & uttered the famous words of Roberto Durán - "No más!!!!!" It's massively humongous - I almost cried when it came to my table! If you've got a big gut, massive hunger in the belly, eat like an elephant well then - this burger is for you!!! I'm going back to my tiny junior burgers! LOL. I'm leaving you all with some homework - go to The Google & look up the real acronym for CAVU! First person to find the answer, gets to buy me a burger at where else - CAVU!!! Hahaha! URGENT heads up ALERT - this featured burger promo runs till the end of September ONLY & does sell out!!! Get here yesterday along with several friends to help you finish it!

    Mussel

Early flight in the morning so I just use the hotel bar for my last dinner in this trip. Fresh and nicely flavored mussels, burger with the bacon crispied just right. Patty is a little bit over cooked but it is my fault not to tell the waiter ahead. Nice and laid-back vibe. Unfortunately I am not in the mood for a drink but maybe next time

We went to Cavu @ Hilton for the 1st time for my Birthday, and the service was outstanding! We were served by the F&B Manager Kavindri, and boy oh boy, was she ever so good!! She didn't leave any leaf unturned, and made every effort to please us and made everything more than perfect. Her pleasant demeanor, her smile, her service, her attitude was all so perfect that I can't give her 5* service rating but a 7* rating!!!!!!! I think she deserves a promotion, and if I owned a restaurant I would hire her right away. The GM should take this review very seriously. - Hakam

    Poutine burger and fries.

Came for the Mac and cheese burger and they don't have it anymore was pretty disappointed as I've heard really good things about that one, I tried the poutine burger instead it was a good burger very well done just not my taste really. Fries were good nice and hit and crispy. Burger was good size and cooked very just right.

Just got a chance to try this amazing Mac n' cheese burger from @cavukitchenbar for #leburgerweek! Well worth the wait, the batter was super crunchy, mac and cheese well seasoned with delicious bacon and topped with cheese! Only disappointment was the burger patty, which was a little overcooked. Tasted good but texture was too dry. We got the soup with our burger, which was a tomato bisque, which was delightful! Creamy with just enough tanginess for a well-rounded flavor. Don't miss out! They offer it until the end of the month of September! We also had their mini moules et frites, these came in a white wine sauce with pork belly (which was delicious btw). Some of our mussels were questionable, but mostly fresh. Fries were thick cut, fluffy inside and crispy outside! Good portion size for the price! P.S. expect a longer wait, we waited over 30 mins for these babies cuz of their popularity! At least at know they're freshly made!

    Dine out menu (lunch)

Went here for Dine Out and now for the BOGO Burger Month (Feb 3 to Feb 29, 2020). For Dine Out, had the lunch box, where we had corn chowder, CAVU-cado toast, and lemon pot de crème for dessert. Also had a side of the Manchurian Cauliflower. Highly recommended and delicious way to get your veggies in. For the BOGO burger, we had the Deep Blue Burger (Atlantic Salmon) and the Which Came First Burger (Chicken + fried egg). All burgers come with crispy, golden fries (or soup or salad for a healthier option). All in all, great place for a lunch or dinner. They also do validate parking here (just remember to park on the upper floors of the parkade and register your license plate at the front desk. Will be coming back to try the other burgers :)

This is the 2nd time we came to this place for celebration. A little fancier food without the price tag. Best deal is to use the entertainment book coupon to get $25 off 2nd entree! We spent only $60 for all 3 of us including dessert. The lamb duo we had was amazing. Lamb shoulder was nicely cooked but the lamb kofta (meatball) blew my mind. So flavourful yet bringing out the best lamb taste. The veggie and couscous just make the meal perfect The salmon steak was also awesome. The char add that little bit of smoke and crisps on the skin. Love it! Wish it didn't have so much bones in it. Last but the best highlight is $8 Mac and cheese kids meal with drink and gelato dessert. And it's real amc and cheese, not salty yet cheesy good! What can you ask for more than that? It comes with 2 giant piece of bread too. Totally can split into 2 meals! You can also park for free. Just need to register your plate at the reception. I will come back for more lamb!

We had been staying at the Hilton Vancouver Hotel for five days, and dinning in only for breakfast which is also recommended. On the last day, dined for dinner at the Cavu Kitchen. Interesting menu items that showcase local food. Much better than typical hotel food, and would recommend. We chose Steak with Prawns, and BBQ Ribs with Jalapeno Corn Bread. Both tasty, and well-prepare and presented. Side salad is extra. Several drink specials. We chose a Bombay Sapphire martini. Bourbons offered included Jack Daniels and Makers Mark. Wines include many from BC. The new restaurant décor is hip and modern. Big improvement over the old and tired Carmichael's. Pluses: Several draught beers are offered including a fine Stanley Park Amber Ale. Only gripe is glass size is tiny...maybe 10 oz. Seems chintzy for an item with an 80% profit margin.

On our visit it was not busy, bso, we were seated immediately. The front of the house staff were welcoming and cordial. We ordered our libations, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned. Both hit the right spot! Next up were the appetizers, charred Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries. They were a great way to start this dinner. Seasoned perfectly and quite tasty. Our entrees consisted of a Seafood Cioppino with Salmon, Mussels, and Halibut, as well as potatoes, red onions, and cherry tomatoes. My wife chose the. Grilled Salmon with quinoa, tomato, and a butter sauce. Bother were perfectly prepared and did not require additional seasoning. The Salmon was moist and flaky and the seafood stew right on point. Parking is normally a hassle during the daytime, but at night it's a breeze. Strangely, there was still a sign up for paid parking, yet signing an iPad near the bar will somehow negate the charge for 3 hours. Just outside the door, there are also "guards" who patrol the lot on foot (#1) and many cigs are disposed of in the process. It's likely they'll end up at the bar patrolling their own drinks instead. Most Richmond nightlife is very Chinese and Spark is no exception. The staff is multilingual, but most patrons here are Mandarin speaking. Folks have known the place to be a haven for karaoke and nightly food specials, but we were here for cocktails and cocktails only. There was plenty of space and abundant seating in very intimate lighting with a prominent stage. Coming here on a Tuesday, it was a relaxing evening. The wait staff was prompt, and most of our drinks came out quickly. The osmanthus oolong ($19) was semi-refreshing, but not nearly sweet as the white rabbit ($17) or berrily ever after ($18). The moscow mule ($17) looked decent, though I wonder if the zombie ($22) was worth it. The times to be here are absolutely the weekend. All weekend they have live music and more food specials. I think it would be an interesting time to take advantage of one of their private only areas for group time, and while I suspect the food is mid at best, I will likely be back to sample everything they do well. I look forward to this, along with some really quality amateur singing (#1). ____________ (#1) This might be one of the only venues that offer public karaoke

TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS absolutely loves this place!…read more After searching for the best Tiki Bar in Vancouver (what???), I absolutely had to leave the family at the airport hotel to check this place out. As Son of TIKI DAVE would say, I didn't need to go, but I wanted to go. Yes, yes, Alec, I wanted to go. And the reviews lived up to the hype. What a wonderful spot halfway between the airport and downtown. I left it up to the bartenders to choose my drinks... Against my better judgment, I went with the bartender's recommendation to try the Painkiller because they touted it better than the Soggy Dollar Bar in the BVI. Well, I've been to the BVI but never the Soggy Dollar Bar...yeah, I know. But this drink, that I would normally think too sweet for my taste, was amazing. Now, I have to go to the freakin' Soggy Dollar Bar to compare but I'd bet this one was better. For my second, I again, left it up to the knowledgeable bartender to guide me the way. And he served me up with this perfectly amazing and glowy amazingness that is the Rememberer? Which is off menu. It was amazing. And did I mention it glowed? Ambience and service is amazing. I showed up on a Saturday night at 10 and I was worried after reading about it that I'd have trouble getting in but it wasn't a problem at all. While the food is decent, I'd say the cocktails are the real highlight here. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of tropical vibes, come for the drinks and the atmosphere rather than the food.
