First timer at Woody's on Brunette. Pros: Ample parking Huge menu and specials Laid back bar layout TV placement isn't obnoxious and family style Pizza were all above ok. Chill clients Cons: Wings (how can one dry out wings?!) Drinks ( Long Island, I needed this after a serious doubles game), it was weaker in flavour and booze. More comparable to a weak powdered Nestea. We were a group of about 30, and they royally underserved us/my table.

Had Ribs dinner and $0.45 wings night with friends and were happy with our stay. The place is very busy and I can see they're short staffed but our server was very consistent in doing great at her job who always check our needs and making sure our table is doing okay. The Ribs is great, very tender meat and had a great taste. The salt and pepper wings are also great, a bit of crispy and juicy although they're a bit small pieces. The Bellini and Red Sangria drinks were also great.

Great for watching sports and for groups. Their wings are delicious. Not a great parking area.

Thai, hot, honey garlic.

Got the wings (franks and salt/pepper) 49cent wings and the loaded wachos ($12). The wings are always consistent and cheap, so I will always recommend the wings. The loaded wachos were good, but could've used more cheese in my opinion. Service was good considering how busy it was and compared to previous visits.

I came here with B and B. I have heard a lot of good things about this place beforehand. I was told they had the cheapest wings in town and it is not only during happy hour or on a Wednesday. It is almost everyday for 35 cents. Except the weekend and Friday where it is only during happy hour. They also have other daily specials too. Came here on a Monday so their special was any pizza for one fix price. I didn't get the pizza. B and I ordered wings. I got the honey garlic and teriyaki wings with a side blue cheese dip. B got spicy Thai and dry Cajun. I liked the honey garlic more than the teriyaki flavoured wings. B's spicy Thai wasn't bad and it wasn't super spicy either. The dry Cajun tasted great with the blue cheese dip. Note the dip is an extra 50 cents (all restaurants charges this), toss is an extra 50 cents per flavour (saucy wings). In the past, you don't need to order a drink in order to get the cheap wings. They changed it. After doing the math, they no longer have the cheapest wings in town. Also they have plenty of free parking at the back. Biggest issue for me is that this pub is out of the way.

60 wings - hot sauce, Thai, roasted red pepper and garlic, lemon pepper, salt and pepper and honey garlic.

Hello 35 cents wings (from Monday to Thursday). I like this place for a casual pub food. The place is quite big and is usually busy, even on weeknights. There is a decent size parking lot out front so you do not have to search for parking. Location is convenient to home, and is close to Lougheed Highway and to #1. Besides the wings, I have tried Ribs Wednesdays and Pasta Tuesdays. The ribs was tender and slid off the bones easily. The sauce was tasty too. $11 for ribs, oh yeah. Pasta Tuesdays was average though. I had the seafood linguine and the scallops were too hard and tasted like those old frozen types. The garlic toast which came with it was delicious though. Maybe the other pasta options would be better. Drinks were decent and I love the names of their cocktails. This place has become my go-to pub though it is not in my hood.

Honestly, I love woodys, and have been here numerous times with all my friends, why? Wing specials everyday. $ 0.35 Mon-thurs all day, Fri-Sat 3-5pm or 11- Close, Sun 3-Close, need to order some kinda drink though The crowd is okay... Its definetly older, but i come here on the regular moreso with friends just to have good, cheap wings, or other specials. Tuesdays they have cheap pasta, Sunday's got numerous share plates, on certain Holiday's they usually also do specials, eg turkey dinner around Thanksgiving time, which is nice. Usually from 9pm onward on Friday, Saturday, they have live bands playing music which rocks. A little loud, so i usually sit in the very far back and chill and chat with friends while we have some food. So .. the wings here are good!! Lotta different flavors, usually coming out pretty hot and saucy if you have sauce. This day i ordered 10 each of blue cheese and thai wings w/ fish and chips. The flavors tasted as they were, the wings were not too dry or the most moist, but we're at a bar, here for some cheap food, drinks, maybe some live music, and thats what we got. A little duller on the weekdays, but overall still a top place for wing specials if that's what you're craving

The seating area is actually not as large as it looks from the outside. Fortunately there is a covered (but not enclosed or heated) N facing patio, protected from the street by a pile of shrubbery. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The beer pricing is in line with other similar establishments. Somewhat decent selection as well. I didn't try the food this time, but it looked pretty decent as well. Will try next time.

They have a fairly large menu and after a quick review, I opted to stay with the John B burger and fries. It is a substantial burger with bacon, cheese and mushrooms. The taste and presentation of the burger was ok. I had a few of the fries then passed them on to another in our group. They were also just ok. There was no burger and beer special this day and our server advised there are no specials on Fridays. I was there to catch up with friends and the John B did provide this. There was no issue with the service but the food was nothing of note and with so many other dining options close by, I have no plans to return.

Apparently it becomes a dance floor where we were seated and that was the calm before the storm. Husband's burger was burnt, so we appreciated that our server took it away and comped us a new one. Kids seemed to enjoy their food. Place is noisy with sports games on the TVs. Parking is a little challenging in the underground lot but I liked that it was free. If coming to this building, I prefer the Wild Fig for brunch. Great service. Average food. Unmemorable atmosphere.

Four of them were perfectly cool, but this one guy was being incredibly rude and told me to get out. All I said in response was, "Calm down," with a smile on my face. I then asked his friends what the issue was, and they explained that they had paid for the table. I apologized and prepared to head out, but before I could leave, the guy became extremely rude again. I repeated, "Calm down," and that is when he pulled a knife on me. When he saw that I wasn't threatened by the knife, he went and reported me to security. Then, the security guards had the absolute audacity to tell me that I had to leave because I was the one with a knife, claiming it was caught on camera. I told them straight up: search me right now and show me the video. They refused to do either. Sure, okay. Scrapping my personal experience entirely, if I were to ever go here again, I now know for a fact that there are groups of intoxicated people carrying knives or weapons inside this venue, even after security claims they search people at the door. Ridiculous.

The place was pretty full but we got lucky and only had wait a few minutes for a table. It was decently loud inside but it was still easy to have a conversation. The waitress we got was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. I'm also super envious of her memory because there's no way I can remember who had which drink without writing it down for so many tables throughout the night!!! My friend also asked for a drink recommendation for the last round and she gave a great one. There's a lot of selection for drinks, as well as food. Aside from the time warp location, the food is easily 4*s, and honestly, I'd say it's better than White Spot as a comparable. The clubhouse sandwich contained actual turkey breast, not the deli turkey breast slices a lot of places use. That's an easy win right there. Very reasonable pricing to boot! It's basically a sports bar/pub grub menu set up. Pool tables as well. Lighting is on the darker side, with friendly and courteous service. They chat with you since they're curious as to how you know about the place. It's definitely not on too many peoples' radar for sure. They seem to like their hockey, as there are a couple of jerseys hanging. Guy Lafleur, Paul Henderson's autographed jersey from the Summit Series 1972, and a couple of others. Located in the basement of the Lougheed Village Mall, which is literally the Land that Time Forgot. I'm not exaggerating. Come and have a look for yourself. Free validated parking if you eat here. Recommend that you go for a stroll in the upper and lower levels and the courtyard whilst you're here. Maybe come in the evening during Halloween. You won't need to spook yourself out at a graveyard. This mall will suffice you plenty.

Wings are $2 more ($12.99) - I should have taken a pic or two of the menu to get all of the differences. Obviously, you're supplementing cost with your DD fees when you order delivery. The fellow behind the bar was super-friendly. He was working solo (dropped in there about 1:30pm on a Wed - not exactly "happy hour") :). I ordered two pints of their near-hazy pale ale, wings and potato skins and it came to $45. Not horrible, but the wings were the smallest size that Sysco sells (think pigeon) and the potato skins were tiny as well. Shrunken that the fillings didn't fill the skin. Repeat? Nope. Though, hate to say that as I found the bartender quite personable. There were a few regulars at the bar when I dropped in. Hoping this place sees a lot more activity on regular pub nights. Suggestions: get the medium-sized chicken wings (not the ginormous "turkey-sized wings"!) and make certain that the potato skins at least get alll of the potato back into them before you add the topings. :)
