I felt like pub food for lunch so wanted to try something local (we're by Lafarge Lake). Looking online, I found their DoorDash menu. Well, the prices in the pub are more expensive. Wings are $2 more ($12.99) - I should have taken a pic or two of the menu to get all of the differences. Obviously, you're supplementing cost with your DD fees when you order delivery. The fellow behind the bar was super-friendly. He was working solo (dropped in there about 1:30pm on a Wed - not exactly "happy hour") :). I ordered two pints of their near-hazy pale ale, wings and potato skins and it came to $45. Not horrible, but the wings were the smallest size that Sysco sells (think pigeon) and the potato skins were tiny as well. Shrunken that the fillings didn't fill the skin. Repeat? Nope. Though, hate to say that as I found the bartender quite personable. There were a few regulars at the bar when I dropped in. Hoping this place sees a lot more activity on regular pub nights. Suggestions: get the medium-sized chicken wings (not the ginormous "turkey-sized wings"!) and make certain that the potato skins at least get alll of the potato back into them before you add the topings. :) read more

Being a pub in a mall is not stellar. Especially a floor crawler of a mall called Henderson Mall. Having said that, this is actually a pretty decent bar. Been here couple of times with buds to chill with just beers. And other times with food. We had their pizzas, nachos, poutines and chicken wings. Food, in terms of tasting, is not outstanding comparing to its competitors in the hood like Browns or Urban Gate. Would have to say it is average. 7/10. To improve, would have to make one or two items outstanding. And advertise and sell the crap out of it. Price is reasonable. Average, not too pricey but you would not feel it is a great value either. Perhaps have more extended happy hours etc. 7/10 Service is very good. Usually being ethnically challenged, Asian, going to a pub, likely going to receive crappy service but actually was decent. 8/10 Ambiance overall is alright. Comfortable seating and perhaps too large for the small interiors. Often this means patrons spill out to the "patio" which is basically the front of the restaurant with a cord sectioning off the "patio". In this regard some thoughtful design of the patio may make this a better experience. Overall ambiance and dining/drinking experience 6/10. Overall score:28/40=70% IMO this is a hard working bar. To kick it to the next level, really got to think about the competition; what are you offering that is truly superior and competitive? read more

Friendly and funny owner. Chill place! Busy on Fridays and Saturdays, sometimes Sundays but weekdays are pretty dead. If you like a drink but don't like people, weekdays are for you. You like some noise and people for the atmosphere then go on weekends. Food is simple but yummy. Drinks are not strong enough for me but tastes good. My friends who don't like alcohol but want to drink, is great. read more

Went there for lunch on a Monday in Dec. 2018. Ordered an Italian pizza and Honey garlic chicken wings and poutine. the wings came first and were good, then 10-minutes later the poutine came out, what a disappointment, frozen fries covered in gravy and cheese,it was mush, think at least they would have hand cut fries from a pub, 10-minutes later and the pizza came to the table dripping from grease, what a disappointment, maybe a frozen Delishio pizza from the supermarket would have been a better choice. When the bill came we commented on the horrible food that was served, was told the owner does the cooking???? Maybe he should take a cooking course. We left without the pizza and poutine along with our hunger for Real food. What a shame, this place should not sell food and just serve beer and wine. Shame for having a buisness. read more

went there tonight to watch game 2 vs Edmonton. was told a few days before that the tv's would have volume on the game which they did but was on FAR too low ands could barely hear. biggest issue though was that it was about 80 % full but they had only ONE girl on staff to serve ALL the tables AND cook the food which was insane. There was a food special on so there lots of food orders. This poor girl worked her tail off but given that I could not hear the game properly and unable to get regular service [ not the waitresses fault} I left. I wWILL NOT go back for another Canucks playoff game. KUDOS to the poor waitress and shame on the management for understaffing. read more

I like coming to this friendly neighborhood pub on hockey's nights to watch the game. I'm not sure why, but this place is never that busy so if you are looking for a less crowded place to watch the game then this is it. They have amazing drinks and my favorites are the Charlie's Fabulous Ceasar and the Charlie's Fabulous Bellini, Their Ceasar has a special lemon pepper salt rim on the glass and tastes delicious! The Bellini is one of the best I've ever had. I think it is blended with canned peaches... which surprisingly makes it taste really good. On hockey nights they offer a hockey burger on special for around $6.50 and it comes with a side salad or fries. If the Canucks score, then they offer hockey beer for $1 a cup! Definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for good drinks and food and reasonable prices. read more

Indeed a generous rating but it's quiet and cozy, not too loud to carry a conversation, booth seating along the back, Amex acceptance, and the best part? $3.50 Budweiser happy hour special for the longest time, in past 2 years: daily too. a lot easier than rotating day specials. 4-6pm. Not a big pub, friendly service. located in Henderson Place, the only non-Asian place LOL. read more

It is a great pub to go to, i haven't been to that many pubs, but this one i go there every time i go out, it nice and cozy place, i know the owner for yrs and the bartenders are very nice and friendly. they have great service and they always keep the customers very happy. i would give this rating 5/5. p.s. keep up with the great work. s.w. read more

Terrible service super slow bartender acted as our waiter and seemed to have never taken an order before, he didn't know the menu. Food took forever and we never got our appies, they charged us for refils without telling us Food was surprisingly good though when we got it read more

This bar is the only one opened in the area and has a solid group of regulars. I don't visit often but the bartender always remembers me and is very friendly. Would recommend for a quick patio beer or a shelter from the winter cold. read more
