I love xfish so much their fish to rice ratio is the best nothing will ever compare to their food. hahahaha andy was our server tonight he was very helpful and attentive. the restaurant has good vibes on weekdays with tables available upon arrival. they might even let you pick where to sit!
Classy interior and quite spacious. We came on a Friday afternoon before 4pm. It was getting quite busy but we were seated right away. So the timing was perfect. Our host was friendly and he explained how everything works. As soon and we submitted our ticket, the food came out quick each time! They came out fresh and tasted amazing! 10/10
I'm so glad I chose this location instead of Buena Park because the service was so amazing! My friends and I decided to do the Signature Menu ($39.99) and it came with 3 rounds, 10 piece per person each round. There is a section of certain orders you can only order once a round so make sure to keep an eye on that when ordering. Other items and rolls can be ordered on your phone through a or code directed to a website and it includes items like the Spicy Garlic Edamame, Hand Rolls, and Tempuras. My favorites were the Sake Salmon, Hon Maguro Bluefin Tuna, and Unagi Freshwater Eel. We paired our meal with a bottle of Cass and Miso Soup to wash down. The salmon was not fishy at all and was buttery where it melts in your mouth. The rice to fish ratio was perfection where I didn't feel like we got ripped off at all. Parking was located in a structure and then you walk down to this place. Not a bad wait and also very quick service, even when they said they were understaffed.
Came here for my birthday dinner and had a great experience! I didn't realize it was all-you-can-eat, so definitely bring your appetite. They have a great selection of sushi, specialty rolls, and ramen. Just be careful not to overorder since there's a fee for food waste, which I actually think is a great idea. Fresh food, lots of choices, and a fun dining experience!
I've heard many good things about this place and I understand why! We were luckily enough to come on a day that wasn't too crowded and got seared immediately. The chairs imo, were too high for the table, I felt like I was hovering over the food, idk if that makes sense but something I noticed immediately after sitting. The menu system is a bit confusing. There's a paper menu and one you place online via QR code. For the paper menu, we were limited to 20 pieces of nigiri at a time. This wasn't a huge deal since it was only 2 of us, but I can see how that can become frustrating with larger groups especially since there's only 3 rounds, unless the limit increases with group size. The online ordering system only allowed you to order 2 appetizers at a time. I love me some baked mussels and unfortunately 1 order = 1 baked mussels which means we were only able to order 2 mussels at a time and then have to wait until our 5 minute wait period is over before placing another order. This is the first sushi restaurant that I been to that had this small of a limit... They also limited you on the carpaccio order but that was expected. Aside from the menu and ordering frustration, I think their food and service is great. Their fish tasted very high quality and the fish to rice ratio was spot on! They had many different options of nigiri to try, so we definitely got to try a little of everything. There was only 1 item we didn't like and our server was kind enough to remove it from our bill. Overall it was a good place for high quality sushi. I just wish I wasn't so limited when placing orders since it is ayce and they already emphasis the leftover charge.
came first thing when they opened on a Saturday, it def was already pretty busy and they seemed short staffed. During our meal there was someone who i assumed was newer to the restaurant and the person training or teaching them was really loud and kind of rude pointing and touching all the tables trying to teach the new person the layout. I understand training but I don't think it was a good idea to do it in front of full tables of guests. or maybe have a map of the tables near the kitchen for them to review but training very very loudly and disturbing others guests just did not sit well. Besides that the food was great as always. I wish they did offer a less rice option but the portion isn't as much as other places. It's a very very busy location so i would recommend getting there a decent amount of time earlier than you'd want to eat.
Service was good and quick ~ never had to wait long to place new ayce rounds, arrived around 3pm on a Saturday for a party of 4 and no wait. Interior is really clean and nice decor. We did the $42 ayce standard and it was very good. Probably my favorite ayce sushi places. They have a huge menu of nigiri, carpaccio, appetizers, ramen, rolls with a handful of rice less rolls (we liked the Sakura roll). Sushi quality was great! Some items are limited to 2 pc per person like the carpaccio and those were some of our favorites. Unagi (eel) is limited in sushi form but you can get unlimited eel hand rolls.
Always a go to spot for AYCE sushi! I love their service here too. Tonight we were served by Andy and he was very sweet and attentive. Good service on top of good food always gets me to come back!
My girls took me here for an early birthday celebration. We kept checking Yelp waitlist in the app cause it was a Friday night but the app kept saying no wait. When we got there, there was a waitlist and it was like 30 minutes. Kinda bummed they didn't just keep the app waitlist on. In any case, it didn't seem like it took 30 minutes which was great. We got seated and all seemed well or so we thought. The wait for food or any kind of service was horrendous. Like constantly having to ask for refills and then ask again cause the first server forgot. I legit saw some other table just get up and get their own pitcher of water to serve themselves cause they waited so long. The food also took forever to come out. When it did, it was good but definitely not worth the wait. It wasn't anything special. They also got one of my rolls wrong which took forever to come out in the first place and then forever to fix. There's also limits in the app for the hot foods, apps and rolls. I get limits but like limiting one tempura item per table or one single mussel per person seemed so extra. Oh and the yakitori comes by tre pas but like it rarely comes out and sometimes they skip your table so we legit only got two skewers our whole time there. The tempura all had a floury aftertaste so it wasn't light and authentic like it's supposed to be. The place is very modern so don't expect comfy seats, they were all wooden with no cushions. It did look clean in there though. All in all, I wouldn't come again cause of the service. Food was fine but if I'm gonna pay for ayce and then wait forever for food, it's really not worth it. Iykyk. There was no dessert and lots of extra charges for things off menu, more so than most ayce places. Quality seemed like it should have been better for the price point and what they're trying to be.
We ate good! Fish is high quality and service was fast. The wait time was like 25 mins on a Saturday night. There was also nice lighting so the vibes were good. Overall a great night with good eats!
Still my fav all you can eat sushi spot. Lunch deal is such a great deal. If you like salmon. Don't sleep on this spot. I hate when all the fish taste the same. But here the salmon is always nice and buttery. Great texture Salmon bomb I get regular salmon and peppered that has a slight sear Udon soup is really good here. Get the Nagasaki spicy udon. Flavor is so good. Little char flavor that I love. This is a must get Fried tempura shrimp is done well Always good food. Always great service. Plenty of parking

Brought a couple friends visiting from Norcal so they could try X-Fish, since it's become one of my favorites. Came on a Friday evening around 6pm and only waited ~15 minutes for a table for 4! Going with the signature AYCE option, quality of sushi and rice ratios did not disappoint. Though our first round of nigiris took noticeably longer to come out for some reason, it was worth the wait. We love the variety of nigiri preparations (order on paper) that taste so fresh and the appetizers (order through QR code) that complement the meal so nicely. Unfortunately, we were limited in our unagi cravings since they are limiting 2 pieces/person due to tariffs. Overall, can't wait to come back! read more

I gave this location a try bc I enjoyed the food at Buena Park, but after a fair comparison, I just think their customer service is just bad at both locations ... & to be honest, the food is actually really good, quality and value, & I'd REALLY like to keep coming back but only if the service here gets better. It's like they purposely don't want us to come back? Ive been to X-Fish at least 3+ times, & customer service is just poor... & based on other reviews, I'd think it's an actual problem that mgmt needs to fix. Nonetheless, the quality is pretty good an ayce sushi spot, and for a reasonable price. I would recommend sticking with the signature menu, $40, but def try their omakase set, $55, if it's your first time at X-fish just because! It comes with 9 different nigiri's of chef's choice (order only once) & a premium ayce bluefin tuna (hon maguro) that only this set has! They also offer a lunch menu for $28 from 11am-2pm but I haven't tried it The fish to rice ratio here is perfect! More fish, less rice is the way to go. So I usually load up on the regular & tri pepper salmon, yellowtail, and eel nigiris. I also recommend their spicy miso ramen, truffle salmon roll, Alaskan roll, spicy scallop hand roll, oishi and kiss me riceless rolls! Sometimes, they'll bring out some yakitori items like skewers to your table. You can also order these items through QR code, nigiris are on paper. Overall, X-Fish is great for ayce sushi if you're solely there to dine in & out. The restaurant is beautiful & has plenty of seating. Location is near plenty of stores, so it's great to walk around after a full meal. There's also plenty of free parking nearby. read more

I've been eyeing this place in recent months but each time I'm ready to go the line is out the door. This A.M. I contact my friend and suggested this place and agreed to meet at 10:45am to get in line. As I arrived there wasn't a line per se but at least four groups waiting around outside until the doors opened and we were seated right away. They have 3 levels to choose from and we got the middle Signature one for $39.99. Service was quick after placing our order. One of my new favorite AYCE sushi restaurants in OC :-) I've been to their Buena Park location but only had their a la carte menu. So I was super stoked to finally try their omakase! Everything we ordered: - Sake salmon - Hamachi yellowtail - Ebi shrimp - Katsuo x-fish salmon - Yuzu yellowtail - Hon maguro bluefin tuna - Sake no kunsei smoked salmon - Albacore carpaccio - Tuna carpaccio - Spicy salmon handroll - Salmon skin handroll - Chef's choice set of 9 (x 2) The fish to rice ratio was absolutely perfect; they didn't have too much rice so it wasn't immediately filling. I was surprised to see that I still had the appetite and stomach for rounds 2 and 3. It's so rare to see sushi places do this right. Their fish was fresh, tender, and so yummy. Overall, quick service, friendly staff, pretty interior, abundant seating and parking. I have no complaints & will definitely be back!!! This place was super yummy. We were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant has a bunch of tables that filled up fast. It was peaceful inside. It is all you can eat sushi that is good quality for 40 bucks and lots of options. My favorite was the yuzu yellowtail and the salmon and scallop. Hello, This was my first time at X-Fish and it was amazing! Came to enjoy all you can eat sushi and it did not disappoint. We opted for the Signature menu which is $39.99 per person and it was completely worth it. It's located in a spacious and nice plaza with PLENTY of parking. Both interior and exterior of the restaurant is simple, sleek and modern. I appreciate the no frills, classy, and warm ambiance inside. We were seated almost immediately and one of the best parts of dining here was how kind all the waiters were. They were attentive and catering. The sushi satisfied my cravings for sure. I enjoyed all the different options they had and also appreciated the udon/ramen selections as well. All of the fish was fresh and so beautifully presented as well. You MUST order the unassuming baked lobster rolls!!! We placed another order immediately once we tried it because of how delicious they were! Each piece was flavorful and melted in your mouth. As the person who always go to BP location due to closeness to where I live, this was my first time visiting Brea location. I personally liked Brea better with short wait time, cute interior and light ambiance, and easy parking location. They even had big table to accommodate bigger party(looked like about 20 people were there without creating uncomfortable seating situation to anyone in the restaurant). Will be my new go to thanks to this being in downtown, where I can spend time afterwards!! read more

They are always quite busy. You show up and you sign in on their guest registry and they will notify you when your table is ready. They do not take reservations.

their reservation isn't accurate, you can put yourself online first, and then, on Saturday I had to wait for an hour, luckily the main street in Brea seems to be colorful and worthy taking a stroke down the Birch street
