    Wand shop (and more)
    Angela N.

My 11 year old daughter and I visited Boston over the Presidents' Day weekend and decided to take the train to Salem one day. Salem is a weird little town but we really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say there's much to do there other than just walk around and visit the shops. This wand shop was definitely our favorite. The lady working there was super cool.

This was a cool store to visit and I could definitely see why huge Harry Potter fans would love it. I found the price of wands to be reasonable and they had a wide variety. If that is not your thing, they also sell other items.

Absolutely blew my mind when I walked in here. Most wands are hand made from the owner of the store that's a wood craftsman and even has HP authorized gear. The worker there is also in character and will make the experience even more mind blowing

We had a nice time in the store and they have nice wands there. My grandaughter is really into Harry Potter so it was fun for her to see.

An excellent hidden gem of a store for any witch or Harry Potter fan. Service was excellent, with associates ready to answer any questions.

Very cute place. Felt like I stepped into universal studios. The cashier never broke character, yet was never once cheesy.

The shop is very reminiscent of Ollivander's with shelves piled with askew wand boxes stamped with a very similar logo.

It is set in what looks like a school auditorium with just regular chairs. They have music playing and Nick the sophisticated psycho, buddy the clown and a magician walking around doing some tricks before the show. He actually did one to my wife and made her scream. The show consists of another magician who I found to be very entertaining. He started off the show with some tricks, some mind reading and some eerie things. All pretty cool. There is audience participation so it makes it even more fun if you like to be involved. They change it up every year so it's never the same. There are curtains on the windows to make the room darker but the light still shines through, it would be better at night where it would give a more frightening feel. It's not a very large auditorium so all seats are pretty good. Their website explains the show and seating arrangements. If you visit Salem I highly recommend checking it out. On a personal note, I lost my sunglasses, not sure where, but I went back and asked , and sure enough without hesitation Nick who was the sophisticated psycho, went directly to where they were and gave them to me. Wow honest people and very helpful. Very cool.

Davey's talent is mesmerizing and his connection to both the children and the adults was gentle and kind. He worked with the kids quietly in the corner of the room, and emerged with a glowing parade of delighted children who marched gleefully around the room with their balloon animals. It felt like it was right out of a story book! He did not overpower the event, instead, blending into the crowd nicely on his unicycle. He noticed my disabled nephew seated at a table in his wheelchair and the next thing we see is him being pushed in his wheelchair around the room by a clown riding a unicycle. We were all so happy, but none as happy as my nephew. Davey is the antidote for anyone who developed a fear of clowns and for sadness in our world. I think he must be some kind of hero disguised as a clown.
