I've been going to Wynn for several years now and after reading the reviews, I recommend the following: 1) The men are better than the women, especially the short chubby woman. She charges too much for the results. 2) Always make an appointment with your preferred tech. I rarely don't, even for a broken nail. 3) Go early in the morning if you want to avoid the loud skinny boss lady. 4) If you're getting a fill, shape your own nails. They don't have time for precision. 5) Ask them to turn down the TVs so you're only listening to music. It gets too loud, especially with all the talking. It's supposed to be a relaxing experience. 6) Ask them to change the station if they have news on, which they usually do. Again, we're there to relax. 7) Their English is limited so don't expect much conversation. Personally, I'd rather they concentrate on my nails. I hope this helps. read more

Absolutely amazing, the nail techs aren't much of talkers but they get their job done and well to say the least. I was a walk in today, never been here before and just got a fill, and loved it. A male nail tech filled in my nails and a female tech came in to do my baby stars and such, there was one rude customer that came in when I was in there and she was being so snappy and rude it kinda killed the vibe but all the nail techs were on point with their own skills. The two nail techs working on the rude lady was even trying to be nice and such to cheer her up I guess, but she was rude from the beginning and thankfully I didn't see the end of her behavior. 10/10 for me disregarding the rude lady of course I do wish they had drinks like my normal solan. read more

i went here a few times and i will not be back, way too inconsistent. the lady that did my feet always do great, love her. the lady that does nails always rush through your nails & is super aggressive. i tried to communicate how my nail was slanted and she was very rude about it and it sucks because your the one paying money. also the price has been differnt everytime. the lady that does your nails really blew it for me this time. i will never be back. that young lady that does your feet is so good, she need her own shop lol! read more

Some of you might remember me asking about affordable nail salons. I found a great one while visiting my in laws on the Northeast. I called at 4:30 on a Sunday and they told me they could accommodate me for a regular spa manicure pedicure for $37 total. Wynn Nail Salon was the location and the owner May was sweet and accommodating. I picked out a color and gave it to her then went to use the restroom and it was clean as well as the rooms for waxing. They had me sit at a Lexor massage spa chair and asked me if the water was acceptable. She then added some bath oil balls which smelled amazing and told me about the different options. Since I didn't know what a regular spa pedi consisted of, I just went with the basic option ($22). I told her I had ingrown nails and my cuticles were ragged and as she worked, she made sure each digit was attended to and asked me if the cleaning was enough, very thorough. She did answer the phone and questions as she worked but she made sure I was still serviced. The pedi consisted of a callus remover and scrubbing, as well as a hot towel and a 3-5 min massage on my legs and calves. The manicure was just as thorough ($15) I felt very safe as there were plexiglass separating the nail technicians as well as the spa chairs themselves. They wore disposable gloves and made sure we washed our hands in between treatments and all wore masks. There was a lot of regulars and they were comfortable accommodating new clients as well. They actually worked past the time of "closing" which was 6pm on Sunday, M-Sat. was at 7pm. I gave her a tip and she protested, but finally took it. She said that the shop was going to celebrate it's 7th year in February and she doesn't like to read reviews (she asked me where I found her and I told her Yelp and Google since it's an unfamiliar area), even though her reviews were great, she says it makes her heartsick if she doesn't make her clients happy. I guess that's why she has a lot of regulars. I left very happy and in a lot less pain than when I limped in. I would recommend calling and scheduling if you're coming because they are quite busy and they take their time with their clients to make sure they're happy and satisfied with their work. Came in for an appointment @3 with a friend, but was seated fairly quickly. My tech took her time and allowed me to relax. I really enjoyed the the heated towels and rocks, they soothed my aching feet. I went with a simple white since it's been a while since I had gotten my nails done. I enjoyed the environment, not much talking which was okay :) definitely will be coming back soon! read more

I've been here maybe 6 times, I don't get my nails done that often but they always do a very good job:) I think only once I didn't like how it came out but they do great work:) I usually get the older gentleman and he always does the best job (I don't know his name though) The first is the reference photo and the rest are the result. First time visit, in town from Arkansas, & came in today for a 3:45 appointment, got seated right away but it wasn't until shortly after 4 before we were acknowledged. Well, I'm pretty sure I've used almost all of the nail salons in the most far NE. Today was time for me to get rid of my bright, happy, sparkly toes and fingers a s slide into the more mellow colors of fall. I had a very experience at Wynns today. I have come here a few different times. Some for just me and some with my kids as well. The location is close to home for me so it is convenient. It is hit or miss honestly. Both of my girls got gel polish, they started at the same time. One of them got a gentleman who did an excellent job. He took his time to do the full manicure (as I would expect since that is what I had to pay for) while my other daughter got a 15 minute quick run down and lotion rub. My daughter who got the full treatment has her nails last over two weeks, my other daughter was missing nail polish by the next day. I have friends who go to a specific woman each time and they love her. Unfortunately I have never been really happy with how my nails turn out here. Wynn nails is great. I've called in asking them if it's a good talk to walk in and they'll tell me to come in about an hour. Which is great because I don't want to show up and just wait there. ESPCIALLY because I live right now the street. Everytime I've gotten the powder dip mani here it last longer than other nail shops do. The massage chairs are a little older but they work well. I arrived when it wasn't busy but the workers were on the phone or just hanging around. I got someone who didn't even try to talk to me I think he didn't speak English? I'm not sure cause he didn't even try. He actually pulled my cuticles out. I didn't have any hangnails on my toes and I take proper care of them. so there was no reason for that. He pulled so hard I said ow. I didn't get a sorry or anything and the whole time I was just waiting for something else to happen to give me a reason to walk out. Not sure if I'd like to come back. The dude took nearly 3 hours and I didn't even get acrylics or polish on my nails. I came home to see my nails split and pieces of cuticles still chillin.
