When I first arrived I was told there was a 30 minute wait. There were 3 women there but only two were working. The other was on her phone. I sat down and waited patiently. Finally it was my turn. A woman named Brenda was helping me. I went in for a full set with gel polish. She filed my nails down and sized them for the tips. She was having trouble with the nail glue and ending up clipping the top a bit more than I've normally seen it done. It still wasn't coming out. She then looked at it and squeezed a little too hard. Glue shot up, got in both her eyes, and on my phone screen. I felt terrible. This woman was in a lot of pain! I continued to sit in the chair assuming someone else would help me (like the girl on her phone). I sat there for a good 15 minutes before the other woman had me move and sit at her station. Kim, ended up doing my nails and did a phenomenal job. She apologized for the wait repeatedly and struck up conversation. I needed my nails short but not too short and she got them perfect. It's too bad I'm moving next week or else this would be my go to nail salon. I highly recommend. Ask for Kim!

I decided to try Excel because it was nearby my neighborhood and I figured "What the heck! It's worth a try." I am so glad I tried it! I went in on a Thursday afternoon and it was not busy at all. There was only one other woman there and two nail techs, Anne and Kim. Anne did my pedicure and began my soak off so I could get a new set. She did a very good job on clearing out the dry and dead skin that had gathered up along my cuticles and made sure to clean up my toes when she had finished painting them. Thankful for that pedicure because my toes were in need of major love after being jammed inside shoes and slippers all winter long! Kim....Kim is a GIFT FROM GOD hisself! She is 100% A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! She placed, shaped and made sure each one of my nails was the right length! She didnt let me leave until she knew I was happy with my new set. She even motioned and massaged my hands when she was done, which you dont find a lot of people or places doing. She was attentive and paid attention to detail, even the smallest things. I CANNOT wait to go back and see her for my fills! The salon itself was very nice and quiet, smaller than salons I have been in but that made me feel right at home. The color scheme was nice and there were enough TVs mounted on the wall that you were not straining into all types of crazy positions to get a good look at the movie, show or music video that was playing. I paid for a Tier 3 pedicure that included callus removal and a hot stone treatment, yet my feet look almost exactly the same as when I walked in. When you pay for a service, you expect that service to actually be performed, and that simply didn't happen. The bigger issue was the overall organization of the salon. Despite having scheduled appointments, the staff allowed both walk-ins and appointments to fill the pedicure chairs without prioritizing the people who had booked ahead. By the time our nail services were finished, every pedicure chair was already taken. Two of us ultimately had to cancel the pedicures we had planned because we were told we would have to wait even longer--despite being the first appointment of the day. To make matters worse, staff members repeatedly stopped in the middle of our services to grab equipment or start other clients' services that they clearly didn't have the staff available to complete right away. When we left, several people were sitting in pedicure chairs with their feet in cold water waiting for someone to begin. This experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Appointments should mean something, and customers who plan ahead should not be pushed aside for walk-ins. I hope the salon improves its scheduling, staffing, and service quality because today's experience was very frustrating.

I was surprised to learn that this salon has you take SNS off by soaking your fingers in acetone. No drilling; creating further weakness to my nails. For years I have only experienced salons who drill my SNS down. So I was very interested to see the results. My nail technician was awesome. She is quick which I really like. She didn't cut corners - she just focused on my nails. I have had zero trouble after getting my nails done. In fact the nail technician said I could wait 3 weeks before returning! That's awesome! She charged me $20.00 for the removal and $20 dollars for a bad paint job. I could have gotten that same paint from the dollar store for a couple of dollars. the $3 dollars was maybe for the water I rinsed my hands with.
