Wynd Coffee... This cafe has some unique coffee concoctions. I tried of their signature drinks, clarified yuzu coffee punch. It has a mix of ingredients that you wouldn't expect to look like a tea. The barista mentioned this drink is pre-prepared since it takes a process to make. Mixing milk, yuzu, citrus and coffee and letting it sit for hours to form curds. Then it's strained through cheesecloth to remove the curds and out comes a tea looking type drink. What happens to the solids? Cheese anyone? Anyways, this drink is served with a block of ice. Similar to one used for an old fashioned. It's topped with lemon zest and dried orange slice. It's meant for sipping and enjoying. This drink reminds me of a lemon tea and refreshing on a warm day. For their other signature drinks, they have a tres leches latte and muscovado latte. This cafe is worth a try if you're into single origin coffee.

    Cloud Matcha with Koji

I drove by so many times, but it was always closed because back then, they were only open on the weekends. I am off on weekdays more often, so for me, it was tough. So I was never lucky enough to pay a visit until today. I noticed they have updated hours now, which is better. Parking can be difficult, but I got lucky and found one down the block. I got the Cloud Matcha with Koji milk. How was it? It was creamy and smooth. It is to be stirred first and sipped instead of using a straw. Although I wanted a little more bold flavor of matcha to come out, Koji milk made it much more creamy, which I did not mind. It was expected because Koji milk is made with fermented rice and blended with oat milk, which they also call Koatji. I enjoyed it, but after literally 4 sips, it was gone; they put way too many ice cubes, and their ice cubes are pretty big. I paid more than $8 and tip, but while it was satisfying, I was extremely disappointed in the amount they serve. Also maybe ask for double matcha? I think so. The girl working there was nice and very informative, answering my questions. Maybe next time I am here, I should ask for easy ice and see if that will be any better.

Very popular coffee shop in the area, but quite hard to find. It's tucked in the back in a cute little outdoor place. The latte I ordered was so delicious!

I was happy to have tried this place when it first opened and have been coming back since then. I saw on my way to Courage Bagels down the street but had been curious to see what it would be when I read the sign across the street from Good Friend coffee. Their coffees are so unique, you will love it. They also have Matcha & their cloud matcha was so good. The cafe is really aesthetic, service is so wonderful, and I can't wait for the art gallery to open!

A 10/10 experience and would recommend for anyone even in the vicinity to come and visit! Ambiance (5/5): The interior is minimal yet homey and well curated. There's a good amount of seating to fit parties of 2-3. I loved how in-person dining was served in glassware and ceramics. Made the experience much nicer! Service (5/5): Friendly and knowledgeable service. They were quick with our order and acted professional. Food (5/5): I got the Moscovado latte with oat milk and it was one of the best lattes I've ever had. It had a slight sweetness to it which was perfect since I like my lattes on the sweeter side. The espresso was flavorful and not too bitter. The matcha cream top was super unique tasting and I loved the thickness of the whole drink. There was a strong matcha flavor but still gave room for the cream top which had a nice saltiness to it.

Delicious pastries and drinks! I came during their soft opening with a group of friends after run. I ended up ordering the cloud matcha which was a cream top matcha. I would rate the cloud matcha 7/10. The matcha itself tasted good and not grassy. The cream top was thick and you could taste the heavy whipping cream in it. It coated my mouth with a milky film after drinking it. The sweetness was perfect. My husband got the tres leches. It also had a cream top. The coffee itself was smooth and not bitter. My husband rates the tres leches a 7.5/10. Next time I would definitely try the clarified yuzu coffee. My friends who got that really enjoyed it! We also got pastries. The tomato pesto and ham and cheese croissant were both delicious! Parking is difficult to find on the streets.

Love the matcha latte here. They really take their time in making your drink well, so the wait can be a little long but worth it. I got the koji milk alternative but note it doesn't really stand out flavor or texture wise, so you'll be fine getting oat if you want an alternative milk. Parking is a little tough though. There's also not much seating so if you're not lucky, this becomes a grab n go shop.

I've had a few drinks from here and they've all been fantastic! The clarified yuzu coffee is definitely the highlight. It's smooth and refreshing, everything you'd want when the weather gets a bit warmer. I wasn't sure what to expect from the muscovado latte, but it tasted like a very delicious vanilla latte! Perfectly sweet and creamy. I also ordered the matcha latte with regular milk and sweetener and it was pretty good for a place that doesn't specialize in matcha. It was a bit too sweet so I'll definitely get it less sweet next time. However, everything was smooth with no clumps. Overall, it's my new staple coffee shop!

A small and quaint corner coffee shop that brings more quality in their menu offerings. They are currently in a soft opening with hours of 9 AM - 3 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Exterior and Interior: They are literally on a corner side off of Burns and Virgil Ave. There is only street parking (e.g., main road or try the neighborhood). It's across from another coffee shop, Good Friend Coffee. The interior is small compared to Good Friend. There's some outdoor seating that can accommodate 2-4 people (or more if you grab chairs), but majority of their seating inside and outside will be for a very small group of people. Service: They are nice and accommodates the space to catching up with friends or stopping by for a drink while completing errands. Drinks and Food: -Cloud Matcha (5/5): If you appreciate a sweet tasting matcha drink, this choice is for you. It wasn't too strong in terms of flavor and it's a nice option to try rather than the standard matcha latte -matcha latte (5/5): You can always trust in this drink if you're afraid to try something new or if you're looking for a good matcha drink. - Muscovado Pudding (4/5): If you order this, you can only have it for in-store. The presentation is nice, but you may have trouble finishing if you cannot handle the sugar. NOTE: I would not use this as a study space. There's hardly any outlets, limited table space/seating, and parking is rough.

Welcoming the newest addition to the Virgil neighborhood! Skimming through their menu, the Clarified Yuzu with Coffee caught my eye. It is an enjoyable drink with large craft ice, and I enjoyed its viscous texture. The yuzu flavor is subtle, and I could taste more of a caramel flavor, most likely from the coffee. It is a lovely, mild drink. I also tried their Matcha Cloud, and it was delicious! I consider it more of a dessert-type drink. The foam on top was so creamy, and the earthiness from the matcha gave a nice finish after every sip. They have a variety of pastries, ranging from savory, such as a ham and cheese croissant, to sweet, such as an orange snail, a type of glazed bun. I got their plain croissant, warmed up. It was around $23 plus tax for all three items. The owners were holding down the bar, handcrafting the drinks to order. Parking is more forgiving in this area. Overall, I look forward to trying their Clarified Yuzu drink again!

Wynd is probably one of the most unique coffee shops I've been to. The aesthetic is very clean and minimalistic and I think they are opening an art gallery soon. The drinks are delicious and you can really tell how much thought is put into the menu and creation of the drinks. I ordered the matcha cloud and it was very thick and creamy but the matcha flavor still shines through. My fiancé ordered the clarified yuzu coffee and it the taste is truly a novel experience. I highly recommend checking this place out.

    Welcome to Wynd Coffee.
    Carl N.

Wynd Coffee (est 2025) is a brand new modern tiny corner coffee shop in Virgil Village in East Hollywood. And they do serve as an art gallery as well which is yet to be seen. Wynd is currently open on weekends only as their soft opening and serves a menu of espresso drinks, matcha, and a few signature drinks such as Tres Leches. Indoor layout and space were limited and may feel claustrophobic especially when it's crowded. Its interior decor was minimal with few small tables. Similarly, they do have some outdoor seats with street view for customers. I came here as a first time customer on a weekend to grab a coffee. I was perfunctorily greeted by a young blue eyed female barista with a curly brown hair. I ordered a hot Flat White coffee and Choc Croissant. My coffee was brewed perfectly; pastry was good. Atmosphere was lively and relaxing. Service can be slow given its current popularity. Customers were respectful and affable. I had a pleasure to confabulate with a young nice woman, while we waited for our drinks. We enjoyed our drinks and conversed on a breadth of topics from the best coffee places in LA to LA politics to Ktown BBQ to Runyon Canyon etc. Ok, let me get back on this awesome review. This coffee shop has plenty of potential. Coffee Prices are tad pricey albeit matched the quality of the drinks. However, I wish their regular cup size they serve at least my coffee wasn't a hobbit. Lol. :D Staff were cordial and professional. Parking in this area is extremely challenging. Overall, I enjoyed this coffee shop. I recommend you visit.

I got influenced by @withbrandonn to try this place and I saw it on my way to Courage Bagels down the street. The clarified yuzu coffee is such a unique dink and if you like yuzu or citrusy things, you will love it. It didn't really taste like coffee exactly but I suppose that is not really the point. It's almost syrupy in texture but very smooth without hints of bitterness. Also beware that there is milk in the drink even though it appears clear! $8 for the tiny drink is kinda diabolical but it's definitely a drink worth trying once for the experience. The cafe is really aesthetic, service is so wonderful, and I can't wait for the art gallery to open!

It was really interesting that one of the Americanos was made with Ecuador Los 4 Mundos beans, and the other was made with Colombia El Diviso. When a staff member brought over my hot Vanilla Latte, I asked to make sure it was decaf. He took it back just to double-check for me, and then confirmed that it was indeed decaf. The coffee here is all delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly, which I really liked. However, the chairs were quite uncomfortable to sit in, and the Vanilla Latte was still pretty sweet even though I ordered it "less sweet." Still, the coffee tastes so good and the staff are so incredibly kind, so it's a really great coffee shop. P.S. A funny thing: They had dog treats in a jar. I immediately thought of my boss's absolutely super, incredibly cute dogs, so I asked for an empty cup and packed some treats to bring to the office for them today. But when I finished my coffee and was heading out, I totally forgot and accidentally threw the cup of treats away along with the empty coffee cups. OMG. (But seriously, all dogs and cats always absolutely love me. Hahaha. When I get to work, my boss's dogs come over wagging their tails and greeting me so excitedly--they are just so, so adorable. And as for cats, there's a stray that I've been feeding every single morning on my way to work for over 4-5 years now. She currently lives at the Buddhist temple I attend. Every day when I go, she follows me around everywhere. She absolutely loves it when I scratch her back with a brush, and when I'm done and try to leave, she taps my foot to tell me to scratch more! It's just so totally cute and lovable. It's a completely white cat, and so incredibly pretty.)
