Stir-Fried Dried Bamboo Shoots
Kathy M.

I can't be the only one that thinks their food isn't good right..... We ordered 4 items, popcorn chicken, stir fry bamboo shoots, their specialities sour and spicy fish, and the sweet and sour fried fish Popcorn chicken was mid Stir fry bamboo shoots was okay, it was very bland....i feel like this dish shouldn't be bland, should goes very good with rice, but no rice was needed Same thing with the sour spicy fish dish, it was also very bland....the frozen packages I have at home taste better than this. The sour cabbage in the dish has a more sweet taste than sour. The only good thing about the dish was the fish was actually fresh. The fish itself is good, the flavor is not. Sweet and sour fried fish wasn't good neither. It's also on a sweeter side, and I think they use garlic in their sauce, they didn't cook it long enough and I tasted raw garlic, not pleasant Overall, I was pretty disappointed and probably wouldn't give it another try..

Super impressed by the wide variety of fish options here. The fried monkfish is cooked deliciously. Really enjoyed the casual ambience inside as well. Despite dining in during weekend lunch time, inside felt very relaxed and calm. Great seasoning too. From shrimp to chicken to crab, there's definitely options for every eater.

Stopped in for dinner based on the excellent yelp reviews and the proximity to my hotel. Staff was really nice in the restaurant was clean and pleasant. Interesting that there was a fish tank with only one fish in it. Wasn't sure if that was going to be dinner or not. Waitress was nice enough, but was not really helpful in recommending dishes for us to eat. I came in looking to try their specialties and probably should have ordered the squirrel shaped Branzino but got caught up in the ordering by asking questions and being surprised by the answers. For example, at least three things on the menu I asked about and she said she wasn't sure why that was on the menu and that they don't have it. So I settled on the shrimp, wonton soup and the trio of salmon, chicken and shrimp with fried rice. Both dishes were very tasty. Either would've been adequate for two people and together they were quite a feast. I did get a terrible bubble tea, which was nothing special. Overall, the mail was really good and I would go back to try some of the other dishes. The fish tasted very fresh and it was enjoyable.

My friends and I wanted to try Wu's fish house that is located at Festival Plaza by Hmart. The staff: The staff here are friendly, welcoming, and are knowledgeable of the menu items. One of the staff members came over and recommended the Wuva Hibachi Bowl. Fried Green Beans: Cooked to perfection and has just the right amount of flavoring. My group definitely enjoyed this dish, and we treated it like an appetizer. Crispy Salted Fried Chicken: This basically popcorn chicken and it had the right amount of flavoring even without the sauce that was given on the side. Tropical Passion Kumquat: This drink tasted like mango with the lemon taste. This is my new favorite drink. Lime Yakult: My friend said this drink was absolutely delicious, and he would order it again. Mango Pomelo Delight: My brother said this drink is his favorite since he tried this last time. Pickled cabbage fish soup with black cod: The spice level that we ordered for this soup was the perfect choice. The fish was delicious and the soup had a hint of spice. Everything that was in this dish was just perfect and I highly recommend ordering this soup. Wuva Hibachi Mahi Mahi Bowl: This is one of the most unique dishes that they have on the menu. This had noodles, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, fish, peppers, shrimp. When you pour the ingredients onto the noodles it gives it a unique look. Once you mix it all together it gives you a delicious taste that you just want to keep eating more of it. This item definitely hit the spot, and everyone should at least try this dish at least once. Overall: When my friends and I get together again, we will definitely stop by here again. There are other Wuva Hibachi Bowl options that we would like to taste. The fish soup and Hibachi bowl is the perfect combo for everyone.

Mapo Spicy Tofu (With Chicken & Sichuan Pepper & Numbing Flavor)

3.5 stars Love the comfy white spacious booths and the picture menu on individual iPads for easy ordering. Mapo tofu was delicious and the perfect amount of spice and not too much ma la (numbing). The steamed halibut we ordered was tender and fresh. The Dan Dan noodles were a bit mediocre and plain. I think the menu is missing some options though and have a lot of pricey fish soups ($50+) that I don't feel like I could order with only two people. So go with 4 people so you can order their specialties.

Every single dish was delicious! Service was fantastic and flavors are authentic. Highly recommend stopping by, we tried so many dishes but still there's so many more things I want to try. The fried crispy salted chicken and sweet and sour ribs were my personal favorites. Ambiance was great too.

Squirrel Shaped Branzino In Sweet And Sour Sauce

What here on a weekday evening, the interior is cute and clean. The service was quick you order on an iPad and they bring the food out to you. We got the squirrel fish, which was perfectly crispy and had a nice tangy sauce. We also got the fish and chips, which were also crispy and fresh. The green beans were fried perfectly and so savory. Would definitely come back.

Steamed Egg With Scallops

I stopped in late on a Thursday evening for the first time. The restaurant was quite empty, but considering the rain and the time it made sense. The service was good. She came over made a couple of recommendations gave us an ice bucket for our wine and was attentive when needed. I ordered the steamed eggs with scallops. We also got a side of the cucumbers and garlic sauce and the hibachi chicken. The cucumbers are very good very refreshing and light very flavorful sauce that they were in. I loved it. We actually ordered a second order because we wanted more. My primary focus was the steamed eggs and scallops, which was absolutely delightful. It was perfectly silky with a flavorful broth and a couple of baby scallops on top. My only thing would be I wish that the menu offered other options for the steamed eggs, for example, if I want shrimp instead of scallops because I know that the scallops raise the price and the scallops were very small and underwhelming. I would've been happy with just the steamed eggs and that broth. So delicious. the chicken was good; I thought the sauce was a little bit sweeter than I would normally like so I I didn't really eat that and primarily ate the steamed eggs. Otherwise, the food was very fresh. Everything came out piping hot so we actually had to wait before we could get into anything that was hot, but thankfully, we had the cucumbers to get us started I would absolutely return to try other dishes. Can't wait to review those.

This restaurant is located right next to crab house! I'm not sure if they are by the same owner, but definitely let the waiter in the front know which one you want to dine at. The night we went, there was only one waitress, so service was bit on the slower side. The view from the windows were nice - this spot is on the 2nd floor of one of the Festival plaza buildings. - Dan Dan noodles, 3/5: bouncy noodles with good chew, but flavor was on the sweeter side, and not very saucy or tasty - Pickled Fish, 4/5: I've been to a couple of fish dish places and this one has good sour pickled flavors, with fresh fish.. but it was on the pricier side - Spiced Beef, 4.5/5: this one was pretty good! The hot oil was flavorful and chewy pieces of beef I don't know if I would come back here specifically for the fish, but the spiced beef is really nice.

The service was as a 10/10. Everything was explained and the food was the star of the show. I can't wait to come back and pick a fish from the tank. I loved the hibachi rice , ribs and lo mein. The teas were AMAZING. Honestly anything you order from here will be a 10/10!

Came here for graduation celebration (10people) . The service was excellent! Our waiter really took his time to explain the menu and accommodated the needs. He spoke Cantonese so it was great for him to communicate with elders on my table. It's very spacious and relaxing ambience for good food. We had our little section since we had a big group. We ordered black cod (spicy level 2) and Bronzino (not spicy). The black cod was definitely a hit. They all love the spicy taste. Fish was tender. Highly recommend. Karage and baos (chicken?) were very good too. They also had beverages but we didn't try. Overall great place for big groups. Food is fresh and flavorful.

Fish soup

The best FISH IN SPICY AND SOUR SOUP in tri-state area! Must order the black cod. Small is good for 2 people. Monday they have 25 dollars per person all you can eat shrimp. Have 6 kinds of dishes to choose from. The flavor is a little too Americanized I think. Might be good for kids though. I love their FISH IN SPICY AND SOUR SOUP!

Fish stew

Wow wow wow. I am not a fish lover but their fish soup special absolutely blew me away with the balance of flavors. Loved the dan dan noodles and taro appetizer as well. Do not miss out on this spot even though it's hidden on the 2nd floor of this big Asian food complex!

The decor is beautiful and the Halloween decorations gave it a festive feel. Upon entering the establishment and confirming my reservations... the entire staff showed nothing but the highest level of professionalism and genuine smiles were on full display. The setting was perfect from a super cool intimate angle... and even though it was basically a packed house, the noise level was still respectable. WOW !!!! That's all I could say, when our server "Johnathan" set the small plate seafood tower on the table... cocktail shrimps, oysters, clams, mussels, stone crab claws, Alaskan crab legs, whole lobster, and langostino ( which I have never tasted before ) and I was able to enjoy this dynamic seafood display for a super reasonable $75 !! And there was the lobster bisque ( awesome ) crab dip ( rich and tasty ) and ended the evening with a dish of spinach lobster ravioli ( spectacular and fulfilling on every level ) Truth is... this made my trip to NJ everything and more. I want to give a shout out to Johnathan for doing an excellent job of explaining everything in detail and bringing things out in a deliberate fashion which allowed us to enjoy each dish to the fullest, without the table becoming over crowded ( thank you for that !! ) If you're ever in the New Brunswick NJ downtown area... I encourage you to make it a night at Salt Seafood & Oyster Bar ( you can thank me later !! )

Amazing food, ambiance, and service…read more Start to finish this was a great experience. Seated quickly and restaurant is beautiful, dimly lit, and not too loud. Waiter was kind and had wonderful suggestions. We got the oysters and crab dip as starters. Both were excellent. The oysters were fresh and each oyster had a description of the taste which was great depending on your brine and taste preference. The crab dip was warm and bubbly, with lots of crab, well worth the price. For entrees we got the corn lobster ravioli and Parmesan and potato crusted bass with a lobster tail side. The ravioli was truly the star and had so much lobster! Flavor was excellent, and came out nice and hot. The bass was great as well and the bed of lemon marscapone risotto was deliciously rich with a beautiful lemon undertone. We ended the meal with a warm brownie and ice cream, which the brownie was warm and paired very nicely with the ice cream. All of the small details, from the plating of the dishes, temperature of the food, and quality of service is what takes this restaurant from good to truly great. The chef and owner should be extremely proud of themselves. An extremely well run seafood restaurant. This is a place where the price fits the quality, well worth it! We cannot wait to go back! I should've taken more pictures but you'll have to see for yourself !
