    Boar wurst, loaded fries.

Amazing food! Our group ordered five items, everything was delicious! Their wursts are served similar to hotdogs, with a variety of toppings available; all are great. You can't go wrong!

Great beer and great brats. Too much mustard spread on the bun though. If I go again I'll ask for SOS.

Don't put German words on the menu when you can't spell German words. A new sports bar.

Whether you're ordering seafood, steak, or one of their creative vegetarian options, the flavors are balanced and satisfying. The beer selection is the best I've ever seen in terms of quality breweries. Hill Farmstead is on the menu today (four different ones!) and there are so many others! The wine selection is ok. This is a beer place in my view. Food options are limited and all excellent. Some dishes can be made vegan if that's your preference but there's something for everyone and the quality is spot on. Tonight I had a tofu sandwich that was excellent another person had a kale salad and raved about it. There's something to be said for a place that limits itself to things it does perfectly and The Dirty Truth seems to be that kind of place. It also focuses on beer and food that are interesting and of the highest possible quality. IT's affordable and unpretentious and very comfortable for large and small groups alike. I think I'm coming here on every trip to Northampton. It's that good! See for yourself!

This time I got the braised pork and polenta and this one is on me because I don't usually like braised pork or polenta too much but it sounded interesting and I wanted to try it. It wasn't my favorite but that's more about my taste than anything. The peach crumble was absolutely spectacular and I'm glad they learned from last time and made the ice cream sweeter (the creme fraiche on the dessert I got last time was not sweet whatsoever). Can't wait to see what's on the menu next time I'm here! 7/3/25: God, I love it here! This year, I got two mocktails, the ruby Tuesday and orange lovely, because I couldn't choose and loved both of them! Then I started with the pickled carrots which were absolutely delectable. The turmeric honey and chili oil sauce was absolutely PERFECT. If I wasn't worried about social standing I would've licked that plate clean. I never thought I would enjoy eating carrots so much. Then came my queso mac and cheese that I took myself I would only eat half of so I could take the rest home and not hurt my stomach but I couldn't help myself. This was one of the best mac and cheese I've ever ordered at a restaurant. It was made with cotijia, had tortilla chips and cilantro in it with onion on top to pull it all together. Chef's kiss. I had to get dessert since I only come once a year and this orange almond cake was SOOOO GOOOD ughhhh I wish this restaurant was in Westchester I'm an avid nuts-in-dessert hater and this cake had me eating spoonfuls of almonds. I think they converted me. It was so moist and sticky and beautiful and the almonds were perfectly toasted and crispy without being like chewing on rocks. I am obsessed. 10/11/25: Back at my favorite restaurant! Got to have some new variations of the great things I loved in the past: fire roasted peppers (this time with ricotta!) and pickled carrots with turnips. I also got the orange lovely again because it was favorite of the two I got last time. So yummy still! I also got the general tso cauliflower and it was so good but also spicy!! Now this butter braised tomato soup was absolutely fantastic. Best tomato soup I've ever had. And the plum galette was perfection. I really have no notes because as I keep saying, everything I ever get from here is absolutely fantastic.

So then I get the kobi beef hot dog with fries $12 and I didn't want the fries , still $12 for the hot dog and the bartender looked to be eating my fries . Better than throwing them away I guess ? How absolutely ridiculous to sit there and try to sow political division in our community. There are many different types of people who live here, and discrimination is never okay. Yesterday, there were several absolutely normal families, a gay couple, a trans person, and your regular bar-goers. Would it be okay for Amy's to turn those folks away because a Trump lover cried about it on Yelp? Grow up. Anyway, Amy's has some of the best boneless wings I've had in a long time- it's so rare to find ones that are not pre-frozen or just full of cartilage. Their French onion soup is always a winner, as well. I think the atmosphere is pretty cozy, and there's always a game on if you're into that sort of thing. Either way- Amy's is a great local, American, community restaurant that really reminds me of the kinds of restaurants I used to go to when I was a kid. We'll be back for sure!

The beer list is a rock solid curation of high-quality regional craft beers and the cocktail menu is quirky and fun. I'm not the sort of person who drinks martinis that taste like cookies but that's super fun for some people, and I appreciate the diversity of choices that appeal to a wide range of people and their particular moments in life. I had a cocktail made with grapefruit juice that actually tasted identifiably like fresh grapefruit juice. The service was kind, attentive, pleasant and professional. The ambience was casual and easy going, and the place was clean and welcoming. So it is regrettable that having just discovered this perfectly nice place I will never set foot in there again. They serve Trumpists wearing Trump-fawning t-shirts. If that bothers you, you should not eat here. We moved tables, still couldn't bring ourselves to eat, packed our uneaten food, tipped well, knocked back the remaining beer, left a hundred dollars lighter, and will never return.* People can and do refuse to serve fascists. This business choose to serve them. Spend your money as you wish. * Yes, that's pricey for lunch but that's on us. We went out to have fun. It was a hard week. The prices were reasonable. We had cocktails, beer, an appetizer and an entree. Frugal people who aren't quite as desperate for a little fun could get away spending less, on the other hand, you may have to eat it looking at this guy.
