I went to the Hamilton, OH, Social Security office and sat waiting for hours before I could talk to a person. That person said, "I can see the number you have," told me what it was, and told me that that the website would be fixed within six weeks so I could track them myself. Six weeks later, it wasn't fixed. I went back to the Social Security office AGAIN and waited for hours AGAIN. This time, another person told me that the website would definitely be fixed within two weeks. Well, another two weeks have passed, and guess what? The website still shows I had zero points, which is just plain wrong. Three months later? Still not fixed. Why can't they just make their website work properly? I've already been there nine times and wasted countless hours while they do absolutely nothing to help. To make matters worse, during a phone appointment, a "Ms. Johnson" insulted me. I wrote a complaint to Social Security. I received no acknowledgement and no apology. They did nothing about it, just like they've done nothing to solve my problem. I am not for privatizing Social Security. The billionaires are already stealing from the working class, and we don't need to make it easy for them to steal more. However, there needs to be better oversight. Social Security has bad management. If these so-called "managers" don't want to do their jobs, then they must be replaced.

Gave me incorrect information. It was a completely different experience at the Centerville location as the people that work. There were extremely friendly very fast, very efficient and very accurate with the information on what I needed and got me through the process really quickly and painlessly. During the identification verification, we presented his USCIS-approved ID. This is currently in use while his Naturalization Certificate is being processed - a situation that often requires a bit more understanding and patience. When a second form of identification was requested, we offered a recent bank statement. Unfortunately, our attempt to have this document printed is (on their printer as she instructed)at the counter was unsuccessful. The staff member, a young lady with curly hair( her ID was flip-back),then informed us that my son would need to retrieve another address-bearing ID from home. While we fully comprehend and respect the need for proper identification, the manner in which this information was conveyed was notably abrupt and dismissive, creating an unnecessarily stressful atmosphere. Further concerns arose when my son attempted to clarify his preference regarding the organ donor question on his application. His initial query was met with an apparent lack of acknowledgment. When I politely reiterated his question, the staff member responded curtly with, "Let me just finish this!" This interaction, delivered without eye contact, felt very dismissive and demonstrated a clear unwillingness to assist with a simple, yet important, clarification. Adding to our disappointment, when I tried to ask a follow-up question concerning the identification requirements, I was interrupted mid-sentence. This repeated pattern of being cut off and disregarded made effective communication extremely difficult. It is particularly disheartening as this is not an isolated incident; we experienced similar rude and interruptive behavior from the same individual during a previous visit in May. The overall lack of courtesy and professional engagement displayed by this staff member was deeply disappointing. We believe that all individuals undertaking official processes deserve to be treated with respect and patience. I hope this detailed feedback will be utilized to review staff conduct and reinforce the importance of professional customer service, ensuring that future applicants have a more positive and respectful experience.

I was fully expecting this to be similar to a DMV experience with crazy long lines and unavoidable headaches - but this was quick and painless. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment, and was able to snag a 9:30 a.m. slot for the next day. I will say that finding the right phone number to call took some digging - I started with the number listed on Apple Maps, but was stuck on hold for a long time with what I'm assuming was the national SSA line. Then - I pulled up their Yelp page, found a different number listed, and was connected to this local office within seconds. If you're reading this review - the correct number is (866) 504-4224. Another note - this office requires masks. They do have disposable ones available near the door if you forgot one at home. Making an appointment is definitely the move. When I arrived, there were around a dozen other parties waiting in the lobby - but after signing in, my name was called just a few minutes later. From then on, I was served quickly and sent on my way. The woman assisting me was friendly and efficient. I spent less than 20 minutes at this office in total ... which is totally unheard of when it comes to government services.

When she came back she proceeded to tell me I needed to come in. That what I was requesting was a lot of paperwork (change in monthly start date-pretty easy). Truly unbelievable.

I got a letter in the mail about a month in advance that included very detailed instructions, everything from how to get there and where to park, to what to wear and how much I'd get paid ($25 a day). When the day officially arrived, it was pretty easy to report. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. They've done really good work in regards to making the process as painless as possible. Everyone from security to the parking attendants made me feel like I was a VIP. Everyone knew I was there to fulfill my civic duty thanks to the badges we were asked to wear. A few other tidbits... The cafe was solid with a lot of food options and the view of the city up there was beautiful. I had no problem at all with the wifi and was able to get some work done while I was there. They kept the room we were in stocked with free water and coffee and played movies all day long. They even had guest speakers come in and talk to us about the court process. While I didn't end up getting selected to serve on a jury, it was really cool to see the inner workings of things. Whenever I get summoned again, I won't be as disgruntled about it now that I know what to expect.
