The museum is huge, way bigger than I expected, with two floors and different sections that go in order through history, which was really cool. It's also completely free to get in and park, which is a big plus. The kids loved the interactive exhibits, and the staff was really helpful and knew their stuff if you had questions. We grabbed food at the cafeteria and it wasn't bad at all. Definitely recommend, especially if you have kids and need something fun to do.

An announcer kept you posted on the flying, and provided historical tidbits. More laidback and less crowded than a typical airshow, very kid-friendly, and packed with aviation nerds like me.

The volunteers who staff the museum are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the exhibits rotate, so there is often something new. They have lots of after-hours and special events, and they have a PEACEMOBILE (like the book mobile from elementary school, but this one is covered in charming murals and filled with different peace related stuff). A truly unique experience, and it's free. If you're in the Dayton area, you don't want to miss it.

Still, she did some of the science things, and we went to the indoor zoo- very cool, very cute, very clean. They had a few scheduled special activities during the day but we missed them. There were a lot of staff around helping and keeping an eye on things, which is always good. Multiple discounts, so check for those. Prices are reasonable even without them. Parking was packed on a busy day, but we found a spot. It's in a big park so no other crowded places nearby. A great draw for the area.

I went here as part of a group, and they seem to get a lot of school field trips, but they're well organized, and it's a big place, so even with a ton of kids at the place, you don't feel like you're crowded. I had like, fifteen minutes alone with the candle-maker lady and my son, and she entertained all of his questions and was really cool to talk with. They have a lot of Dayton-related history around NCR, and flight, and nuclear energy, and old automobiles. I bet it's a blast to work there. My favorite part though, was the outdoors area. It's just a really well maintained facility with lots of big old trees, and shade, and you can really just kick back and relax and chill out.

The Dicke Wing of American Art most important holdings of American art. The Patterson-Kettering Wing is an impressive collection of Asian art, including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean works. While the Berry Wing is home to significant and important works from Europe. in addition, there are works from Oceania, Africa, and the ancient world. Outdoors there is an impressive curated sculpture garden. Historically well funded, the Dayton Art Institute is a world class destination museum, and if you are an art lover, and in this region, it is a must visit location.

They are located within an old Packard show room and have a wonderful collection of everything from pre-WW2's right up til the the end of Packard with some cool different cars thrown in for fun, such as a Dalorian.
