    Texas Ranch Chicken
    Debra G.

Interesting place. Cozy inside. Seating in 2 different rooms. Table service available. Waitstaff was efficient and very kind. We had the Texas Wrap and the cod basket. And a pumpkin streusel muffin on the side. Everything was tasty!

Prime rib panini. Literally no meat. I already ate the potatoes off the sandwich.

Usually like this place the few times I've had it. Thought I'd try something new to eat since I usually get the same thing. Ordered takeout. Love the owners; really nice people. However not sure if they were having an off day or what. Ordered the prime rib panini on white toast. I usually love paninis. Got it and there was cubed seasoned potatoes on the sandwich! Definitely didn't say that in the description. Literally states, "shaved seasoned prime rib, prime sauce, au jus". Needless to say there was no au jus, barely any meat and the meat that was on it had green metallic in it. I ate the potatoes off the sandwich and threw the rest of it out. Super disappointed. It specializes in wraps so just going to stick with those. That's like going to Bdubs for a burger when they specialize in wings. Lol.

Very polite employees. The prime rib wrap was delicious. Cheese curds came with a strawberry jam dip. It was tasty.

Ranch dressing and rock hard bacon

Update: I had the flu yesterday and my fiancé brought me our favorite (now used to be favorite) Wrap it up. We opened the food and wrap had ranch, when we always ask for Cesar dressing, the bacon was thick but hard as bones. I literally thought I was going to break a tooth. Chicken was fine. It was pretty much a big wrap stuffed tight with lettuce and a chicken chunks and rock hard bacon. I hate to point fingers but when Randy the Owner makes the wraps or is even in the shop the food is ALWAYS 5 STARS no doubt! I'd eat my self silly when he makes it. But there's a staff member with short red hair who works there and no matter what we order it's the wrong sauce or some simple single swap, and the food is just awful! When we kindly make comments she has little to no personal touch and acts like we are a burden. I Love this shop and I want it to succeed but we can't even eat here anymore when she's there because it's the worst $16 we spend. We did call the shop and she argued with us that it was not ranch over the phone, obviously we know what ranch tastes like. Their Cesar dressing is so good and they said they bought it at Costco, we literally bought a Costco membership just to have the dressing at home. (Although it's not there, but we love Costco lol). Anyways, the red head did offer to give us replacement wraps next time we're in town. We've complained numerous times, this is the first she's offered to replace. We hate to be that person, but this time was worse than ever.

The food was yummy. It's a refreshing change from all the other greasy choices. It lost a star for service. It was a little disorganized.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. If you're in the area and want a dinner you know will be good, this is the spot.

We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.

The Fat Seagull ended up being my choice because of interesting sounding items on the menu. The to go order consisted of a perch sandwich, a double cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks, and taco egg rolls. The mozzarella sticks are the same kind you can get from Arby's or the hot deli area of Walmart. Yes they are mozzarella sticks and can maybe satisfy a craving if needed, but they're not as good as Italian breaded for wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks. I'm not usually a big fan of charbroiled burgers and I could tell the meat was out of a frozen box of patties, but it was a solid tasting burger. It didn't come with a side, which for the price I assumed was the case ($7.50 as of 2/3/2025). That might be the most I would pay for it, but would consider getting it again. Like the burger, the perch sandwich did not come with a side, so $10 for a single butterfly of perch on a roll was close to my wallet's limit, but that was a tasty piece of fish. I don't find myself in Manitowoc often, but if I did I'd be intrigued by their double perch plate on Fridays given the quality of the the perch in this sandwich. The star of the meal was the taco egg rolls. The size of a typical veggie spring roll and in the same crispy wrapper, these egg rolls come in an order of three or six and I wish I had ordered six instead of three. The taco meat had an amazing kick to it and there was enough cheese inside to be noticeable yet not take away from the meat. I didn't end up using the sour cream or nacho cheese they provided because I wanted to savor the flavor of the egg roll itself, but I appreciate having both options to dip them in.

SO MUCH FLAVOR. Then I switched to the San Fran noodles and wow. Same thing. The cook is really great at marrying sauces, toppings, and flavors. They have a talent because I don't think I ate anything I didn't like. Special shout out to their unique fried cheese because what was that? Amazing. Such a great meal. Service was good but I don't even care about that because the food was so fantastic. We were heading back to work so couldn't drink but their beer menu also looked amazing. This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift. Food: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn't make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn't have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable. Will not go back and would not recommend. I'd only recommend in the event you're practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.
