Logan Spicer live music! Saturday afternoon with the ladies for widows weekend! Great ambience view of the maritime museum and river. Great friendly service can't wait to try this place out in the summer with the awesome patio. Nice deal on bucket of beers!

Nice location right off the Manitowoc River; very scenic as one can see Lake Michigan, the submarine and the city to the other side which was still in Christmas decorations. Very spacious and is a place for bands and other venues. Large garage doors for summer months when it gets hot and humid. We just stopped to see what it was. Not many people there when we stopped but another 15 people came in after. There were a few that also used the heated igloo outside to be more present in the winter atmosphere. Definitely a nice touch! I think this venue will become quite popular as it ages as it's still new. Great drinks and staff was pleasant. Didn't get a chance try any food, but what I witnessed looked good!

I've heard good things about this venue. As it is about an hour from me, I was just recently able to get the chance to visit (4th of July). There is a lot of parking available around the facility. Despite it being a busy holiday, we easily parked and found a table on their deck. The building has a cool retractable roof. It was open, allowing all the patrons to soak up some summer rays. While not posted (at least I didn't see), patrons go to the bar for drinks or to an outside window to order food. While skeptical of the setup, I found they had a good amount of staffing at the bar and in the kitchen. The wait for drinks was short and despite it being very busy, our food order didn't take long either. Since we spent the afternoon listening to a band, I had multiple opportunities to go to the bar. The bartenders were friendly, efficient and poured good drinks. There was even a large cooler of water for patrons to get water from at their leisure. Our food took a while to come out. However, I was told when I ordered to expect the wait. Our chicken sandwiches were hot and tasty. Our chips (crunchy) and salsa (cold) also hit just right. With a great location, excellent service and solid food, we will definitely drive to Manitowoc again to go to The Wharf.

I'm giving this restaurant two stars because it has beautiful views of the Manitowoc River and it's a very nice looking place. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries, a side of cheese curds, and a soda. $30. No refills on the soda. I waited about 40 minutes for my food and in my opinion, the place wasn't busy enough to justify the wait. My burger was not good. The burger patty low grade meat, very thin, unseasoned, and had a slimy texture to it. No flavor to the Swiss cheese. The bun was hard as a rock and was not toasted. The burger was loaded with fresh mushrooms but they were also unseasoned and tasted like they had been soaking in water. The fries were decent but unsalted. The cheese curds were cheap frozen out-of-the-bag curds served with a raspberry sauce. I don't think a raspberry sauce goes well with cheese curds. No ranch sauce option. Overall I was unhappy with my experience here and will not be returning.

We came for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Self seating but much of the seating was reserved for a 730 concert. We started with drinks with 2 friendly and helpful bartenders. To order food you need to walk over to the food window and order, no wait staff. My wife ordered a Door County salad and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries (sides are extra). It took about 10 minutes for pickup. My wife said the salad was excellent with plenty of dried cherries, feta, apples, and candied pecans. My pulled pork was fine, but nothing special. The fries and slaw were delicious. It was nice to sit by the water on a warm day. One bonus: the restrooms were beautiful and very clean.

Bloody Mary with mozzarella "noodles" - fun!

Great location! Love the outdoor space for summer afternoon. Enjoyed my Bloody Mary with lots of fun toppings. That was the highlight. Had anticipated correctly that it is sort of a tourist trap. High prices. Limited food selection. And limited is fine, if done well. Tried the Brussels with dried cherries, goat cheese & balsamic, but it was severely overdressed. It is a very good-sized portion, though, so plan for that to be your meal or share. Tried to share, but hubby was not a fan. Smoked salmon taco was a tasty morsel. And hubby enjoyed his shrimp taco & perch taco.

My smoked salmon salad was tasty. My husband liked his burger and really enjoyed his mozzarella sticks! Thankfully we had great live music to listen to since the wait for our food was about 50 minutes! The band Annex was really fun! The outdoor space on the harbor is beautiful.

Food was adequate, but waiting 50+ minutes to receive one cheeseburger & fries and three shrimp tacos is beyond unreasonably slow.

Has a nice sized bar and the bathrooms seemed big enough for the venue. Only negative was limited parking spaces and the entrance was a bit if a bottle neck and it was hard to get into the venue. Primarily because everyone arrived at approximately the same time. The back up was caused by the number of people standing at the bar, and the gift/sign in table limiting passage. Might have been better if table were to be placed somewhere else, but that would have limited seating capacity. Overall pretty nice place.

It is not overalls large but perfect for the wedding we had. There is a back room made just for the bridesmaids so that they can get ready on site. There wasn't really a spot for groomsmen. The bathrooms were decent size but not super clean. A lot of the toilets ran out of toilet paper and when we first got there, there were poop marks on the toilets. But other than that, the bathrooms were nice. As for the rest, it was not all that bad. The only other negative thing would be the white cushions on the chairs were stained. Some had red stains and others had large stains. I feel like chairs used for ceremonies with white cushions, should be clean. Overall, this was a decent venue for a wedding. It is a beautiful building with cool ideas. But if you have your wedding here, they do not have fridges to put leftover food in. So it will just have to sit out or get thrown away. But check it out if you are looking to have a wedding!

General - We stayed here for three nights for a family trip touring the Manitowoc, WI area. We…read morewanted something close to town and the highway that offered a hot tub and pool and allowed our dogs to stay with us. Location - This place is right off the highway and only a short drive to downtown and the lake. You have a large variety of restaurants close by as well as shopping, either for essentials, food, or knickknacks. Rooms & Building - The building shows some wear and tear but it is in pretty good shape for it's age. I think the architecture was pretty cool, beats a boring square box building that most places have now become. Large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces available, never had a issue finding a spot. If you are hauling a trailer or RV, this would be a great place to stay and park. Rooms are very spacious and offered a sitting area even in a room with two queen sized beds. A mini fridge and microwave are included. I do want to mention the furniture because it seems people have issues with it. They are not old. The design is older fashioned but the ones in our room looked practically new (and were comfy). I mean I guess certain colors and fabrics are not always in vogue but I care more if it is working, functional and clean than looking "in". Amenities - This hotel is almost like a resort! Large heated pool (love that) and large hot tub which included some of the most generous pool hours I have ever seen at a hotel (open till 1 a.m.)! There is a movie room that plays two different movies throughout the day, well stocked gym in the basement, and a restaurant and bar that hosts live music and nightly specials. Food - We didn't try the restaurant or bar while staying here but the couple of folks we talked to in the hot tub ate exclusively there and said they liked it. We did get breakfast every morning in the breakfast lounge (included with our stay but not complimentary) and it was OK. Some of the items were cold/stale if they sat for too long but staff kept most of the items fresh and hot. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. Like I said above, the hotel is a little older but it has been kept in great shape. No complaints. I'm not sure why this place has so many complaints when I first looked but reading through a few, it seems like more personal issues than actually experiences while staying at the hotel. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. We enjoyed the amenities and our stay. Price & Final Verdict - I got this place for a great price - $125 a night and that included a buffet breakfast each morning and my dogs staying in our room. An amazing value when compared to the experience we enjoyed. If we are ever in this neck of the woods again, I would gladly book again.

One of the Most Disappointing Hotel Stays I've Ever Had! (Zero Stars)…read more I spent four nights at this Holiday Inn and honestly, I couldn't wait to leave. From the moment I walked into my room, there was a weird smell I just couldn't get rid of. The carpet, walls, and couch all looked like they belonged in the 80s -- worn, faded, and in desperate need of an update. The bathroom was the worst part: a yellowed toilet seat, black mold along the tub, and even a rusty nail sticking out where a shower bracket should have been. Definitely not what I expected when booking through a major hotel brand. Housekeeping? Didn't happen. I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up the first night, but it was off the rest of the time, and no one ever came by to tidy up or replace towels. Breakfast was $7.99, and I still regret it -- pre-made eggs, dried-out sausage, and potatoes so undercooked they were still hard. Later, we tried the bar, and while the young man working was friendly, he was the only one there -- taking orders, making drinks, and cooking. Over the days, the menu kept shrinking because they kept "running out" of items. The coffee bistro wasn't much better... no one actually runs it, so sometimes there was no coffee, sometimes it was burnt, and once I was told, "Sorry, we don't have any cups." The gym was in the basement, dark and depressing, with machines that barely worked and an empty water dispenser. Service was hit-or-miss, but mostly a miss. Over three different meals, I averaged a 28-minute wait. A coworker of mine asked about his points not applying to his account and was met with a curt "I can't help you." The online photos make this place look way better than it really is. Between the outdated rooms, poor maintenance, lack of service, and disappointing food, I can't recommend this place to anyone. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I took photos of the room, but even they don't fully show how bad it was -- the lighting is terrible, just like the overall atmosphere.
