I'm a male in my mid 50's, and I've always had a lot of body hair that I don't want. I've had my back waxed since the 80's and it has ALWAYS been very painful. Until now! My first visit to WOW was surprisingly pleasant. My Esthetician, Jennifer, was friendly and very professional. She made me feel very comfortable, considering I was getting my back and chest waxed. I'm shocked to see some of the reviews that people didn't enjoy their visit. I had a terrific experience. The staff is wonderful - friendly and exquisitely professional. Many salons don't accept male clients at all, and the entire staff here made me feel very welcome and completely comfortable. I had a lower back, bum, and bikini treatment, and couldn't be happier. W.O.W. truly uses the best products available which makes a HUGE difference in the level of pain. The hard wax is wonderful - the worst I felt even in the most sensitive areas was little more than a sting, and FAR less uncomfortable than I was afraid. I withheld the 5th star only for the price. I expect to pay more for the better products and a truly professional salon, but I would be significantly happier with the cost about 20% less. It's worth every penny, don't get me wrong, but a slightly lower price would bring in more clients and certainly make us all even happier. Waxing isn't very popular with most guys, but ladies I'm sure you'll agree that it should be. Guys, if you're looking for a place to go, THIS IS IT. The staff is truly professional and they make the experience far more comfortable than you would hope for. The high-end products they use make a HUGE difference in making the treatment nearly painless. It honestly hurts worse to kick the coffee table than it does to wax your most protected areas. This place is amazing!! I get it - no girls favorite thing is waxing their lady parts, but the only thing worse is a terrible experience and you will never get that here. My normal esthetician is Luvia and she is the absolute best, however, if our schedules don't jive I've seen others too and have never had a bad experience. Ive been getting Brazilian and armpit waxes here for several years like since the year it opened. I took a break to try Laser removal. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER(pain and permanent bruising). I digress. Anyway, Luvia is my go to girl since my return. If she is not available I just don't go. This lady is very thorough and serious about her work and that's hard to find. I gave the place a 4 star for two reasons. Pricing can be better but there are 10% discounts that makes it a lil less cringe worthy. The other reason is the two wax options. Sometimes it 'feels' as if the wax is not pulling as effectively as some other places ive been too. But I love Luvia so, no worries. read more

On Friday 29 Jul 16, I had my first professionally done Brazilian. Prior to that I had tried the "Do it yourself" technique. All I can say as a guy is that was a dumb idea. The pain was off the chart and it looked like moths had done the job. I live on the Fort Worth side of DFW world so I started calling around to waxing salons in this area. Couldn't find anyone that did male Brazilians; what I did find were a lot of referrals to We Only Wax, W.O.W! After numerous referrals I decided to stop wasting time and gave W.O.W! a call. The lady who answered my call was very nice and set up an appointment for me to just talk to Victoria so I could feel comfortable with having the Brazilian done. Victoria took the time to explain the process and listened to my questions and concerns. She was easy to talk to and gave me answers I felt were honest and accurate. I made an appointment to have the Brazilian done on a future date. As luck would have it I had to reschedule numerous times. No problem here, they were very accommodating. I'm surprised they put up with me but they did and I am grateful. Prior to coming for my Brazilian, I had the rest of my body waxed close to home to save driving time. On Friday 29 Jul 16 I finally showed up for my Brazilian. Victoria took me back to her area and told me what she needed me to do while she stepped out of the room. When she came back I was ready for what I thought would be a fairly painful experience based upon my own "Do It Yourself" torture test. Once Victoria had prepared the area she started to wax the hair off very sensitive areas. As I mentioned, I had already had the rest of my body waxed and experienced significant discomfort during that process. I was totally surprised at how little discomfort there was during my Brazilian. On a scale of 0 - 10, with 10 being intolerable and zero being none, I'd have to say the highest level I experienced was .5, which for all practical purposes is nothing. When she finished I inspected my jewels and found them looking better than I had ever seen them. Here it is almost 2 weeks later and I'm still slick as a whistle; no hair emerging. I have to say Victoria is the best Esthetician I have experienced. She is fast, thorough and exceptionally good. I have decided to have all my future waxing done by Victoria at W.O.W! It will be worth the 64 mile round trip. read more

Nice and clean. It was my first Brazilian and I was terrified but they kept me calm. The technician was a little rough around the edges, but she knew what she was doing and kept me comfortable. The only surprise was that despite the fact I asked her to leave a "little something" she left nothing down there. All in all, it was a good experience, and worth the $75. read more

After some bad experiences in some seedy waxing salons and nail salons that wax, I was so relieved to find this place. The owner, Chandler is so personable and professional. Her business is the only one I will go to. I found them years ago when I lived in Dallas and my daughters and I will travel from Houston to see her because she is that good. She takes time to learn about your concerns and asks questions to ensure a "smooth" service to minimize any allergic reactions. She also doesnt do that gross double dipping into the hot wax like many other salons. The thought of everyones skin and hair in that wax at those places makes me nauseous. She is the only person who has ever managed to make my waxing experience pain free. Will never go to another waxing salon again. read more

Long story short - I requested the "numbing" product at the time of appointment and during my session and did not receive. I mentioned it twice when I was there but the waxer didn't even acknowledge I was speaking. The person who greeted me was very pleasant, perhaps this is the owner. The aesthetician was cold and unfriendly. I have had one Brazilian wax prior and in comparison, this was going to take three times as long and was four times as painful. Nothing was explained, just hop up and begin ripping away. When I winced, I was met with eye rolling and a kind of "what's your problem" attitude. I had to stop the session, mainy due to the attitude of my waxer. She offered no suggestions or assistance at all. .The final result was an uneven wax (because I stopped the session) a burn (!) and minor infection (!) the next day - when I was going into surgery!!!. I've been to a lot of wax places and have even done it myself (which I do NOT recommend), and I would definitely say that W.O.W. is my favorite place. I went to We Only Wax, and had an absolutely fantastic experience, starting when I walked through the door!! I made an appointment with Stormey for a Brazilian, and she did an amazing job! Stormey is a marvelous esthetician, she's easy to talk to, and is super professional. I'll be seeing her for all of my waxing needs from now on. First Time Ever! I was sooo nervous. I went in there, and my esthetician was great. She talked me through it the whole time. It wasn't the most comfortable vent in my life, but my Brazilian was totally worth it. The price was pretty reasonable for the results. You don't want just anyone down there. I was barely aware that she was handling my privates because of how comfortable I was. I set up my appointment again because I am getting married next month. I'm not sure if I'll go monthly, but I'll definitely make the trip a few times a year. read more

This was my first experience with Brazilian waxing and I definitely came to the right place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and always willing to answer any questions. The atmosphere is very serene and very clean. I was lucky to get an appointment with Amnah the first time I went in and since then she's the only one I go to and the only person I entrust my waxing to- she's awesome! I go to We Only Wax regularly. I used to think that not many men get waxed. But it seems like every time I am there, there are an even number of men and women waiting, checking in our checking out. Anyway, regarding the actual waxing, it's a good experience every time. Keeping in mind that waxing is basically having hair plucked out of you, associates here do a great job at making you comfortable. Best part that I like is they don't rush through the job and are detailed. They even use different wax types for different parts of the body instead of the same vat for everything as they do at some of the cheaper places.
