I can't believe I'm excited about getting my next sugar wax. No matter what anyone tells you waxing hurts I don't care if they're using sugar or cotton is going to hurt. For me it was important that I found someone in a descent salon, someone who knew what they were doing, and someone I could trust to make this as quick and painless as possible. This place was perfect! It was 10x over my expectation. The location was perfect is an independent suite in a multi level salon, located away in the back. So not a lot of traffic around the salon (just incase I made a soft squeel). Amanda was super professional, therefore it wasn't weird. I have been going to a different place to get my waxing simply because it's conveniently located and they don't do a bad job, by any means, but I just went back to Amanda (Bella Bunni) and it was like "WHY DID I EVER STOP COMING HERE?!" Her technique coupled with the type of sugar wax that she uses makes her the best waxer (especially for the bikini/brazilian). Maggie is a terrific Massage Therapist! I had a problem with numbness and tingling in my right hand, pain and tightness in my upper back ,neck and shoulders for over a month and a half now from working 60 hour weeks for the,last month in a physically demanding job. My right hand was so bad it over the last few days it took two hands to cut a stick of butter, struggled opening jars etc..you get the picture. I had called three massage therapists for an apointment and she was the only one to respond in a timely manner. I explained what was going on with me and after one session of a deep tissue massage I feel really good....can move around a lot easier, no pain when I reach for things! I did waxing for Valentine's Day and let me tell you it was great! Amanda is the best I have ever encountered. Her place is very clean and beautifully decorated to make you feel homey. She welcomes you with her amazing Brazilian personality and before coming she does suggest to take an Advil to ease the pain of waxing. Sugar waxing does hurt way less, and now my skin feels amazing. This is a tricky review for me to write. Honestly, the experience was not good for me. It was my first wax and I had always shaved before that point, so I actually was not physically able to be completely waxed due to the pain. Id never heard of this happening to anyone else so it was disappointing. However, Amanda is truly a wonderful person. She was encouraging and totally understanding that it was too painful for me. She didn't pressure me to complete the wax or make another appointment for later. She charged me for a brakini wax, which is cheaper, since I wasn't able to get a full Brazilian. I completely blame my bad experience on my own unpreparedness. Maybe it's just not for me. However, Amanda definitely knows what she's doing and I still recommend her to other people. Some of my friends have gone to her and they all love her, so I know my experience was definitely out of the ordinary. Also, one positive result was that the hair that had been waxed was significantly thinner and sparser. So one wax with Amanda definitely makes a huge difference!! read more
