I found a test drive coupon for Palm Beach in Lincoln Square, I was so pleased. I am dark already , I tan on a regular basis and while most salons require that to use their coupons that you must tan beginning in their lowest level bed. The young lady working started me in their best bed , I have tanned 5 days in it and their phenomenal Stand Up bed. Their pricing combines their spray tanning and bed tanning into a single package which I like. I was not pressured into purchasing lotion there , upfront I made it clear that I have my own that I like and that I am educated in proper skin care with sunless tanning. I have 2 more days on my test drive , which I will finish and definitely will sign up to do a membership here... The hours are so convenient and the location while less than ideal, by a TGIF resturaunt and a pub it is manageable as I prefer tanning before 10am most days. I have found the other staff members to be just as friendly and non pushy as the young woman I see every morning during the week. I commend them on not requiring someone with a deep base tan to waste their time in tanning in a level 1 or 2 bed. I will reccomend this salon to others , Price wise it seems high, but considering what I was paying elsewhere and what little I was getting for the price I do not feel it is over priced. Here is my experience: I just do spray tan, but it didn't work well (couldn't get any color), so I decided to stop. They advertise one price, but that's not really accurate. It's more than they advertise. I called at least half a dozen times to cancel, and no one ever answers the phone. I left multiple messages, and no one ever returned my call. I filled out multiple contact forms on the website, and no one ever responded. I finally drove to the place and cancelled in person, and I was assured I would not be charged. You see what's coming, right? I got charged again. I called multiple times. No answer, no return call. I left a message saying that if they didn't call me back, I'd be placing a negative review on Yelp. No call back. I drove up there AGAIN and they wouldn't give me anything to show it was cancelled, but promised me I wouldn't be charged again, which I am definitely not confident in. The owner, who is normally nice, was pretty impatient and dismissive of me. He told me that they don't get messages from the website (which I know isn't true because there is a form there - where they go, I don't know) and said he was too busy with a move to return calls or answer the phone. However, this has been going on a month! In any event, I left after he promised I wouldn't be charged again. Later, after he listened to my message he called me and was nice and offered me a free tan, but that was by far too little, too late. I felt like he was just doing that because he didn't want a negative review. The business practices here are very, very sketchy. I would avoid it. You don't sign a contract, but that means you have no protection at all. They can just keep charging you. The experience itself: - Friendly in person - Frequently out of supplies (the little slide-on shoe things), bathroom out of order or no soap in bathroom - laundry piled up on washing machine in full view every single time I've been in there
