A VERY BIZARRE ENCOUNTER:…read more I had a consultation yesterday and arrived 10 minutes earlier. When I arrived the owner was sunk down into the seat at her desk which startled me. She told me to come on back into her work area and I immediately noticed how slurred her language was and how she looked as though she might fall over at any time. She asked if I'd filled out a questionnaire and then glanced over it extremely fast. Finally, she told me "looks like you're fairly healthy. You're good." It didn't feel thorough at all. She then started pointing at the diagram to explain the electrolysis process and I could not understand half of the things she was saying. I finally asked her if she was ok and she made a comment that she'd taken a nap. To be honest, it did not look at all like a nap. It looked like she was either sick or had taken drugs or drank too much. She was clearly out of sorts. At one point she sat down and could barely sit upright so she leaned over the electrolysis bed while talking. It felt like I was watching someone in "The Hangover". I have never experienced this at a place of business and felt I needed to write a review because I do not feel it is safe for her to be administering electrolysis while in whatever state she is in. If her words are as slurred as they are, I can only imagine how unsafe her work will be.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when the service far exceeded my expectations! Waxorsugarme is located inside the City Salon Suites off of Knoll Trail and Arapaho. There is ample outdoor parking and it's easy to find. The suite Waxorsugarme occupies is toward the back of the building. Before showing up, I booked online where a deposit was required. Now, I'm totally happy to pay this and am respectful of their late policy. These are professionals and it makes complete sense that they have stringent policies for arrival windows. I had seen some people gripe about this, but please put yourself in the shoes of someone running a business like this- it's not fair to expect them move around other appointments to accommodate. The waxing itself was a pleasant experience. Yes- waxing hurts, but in the hands of the right professional, they can really help with alleviating some of that through great conversation. Fabiola was really good at keeping the conversation going and providing lots of knowledge on waxing upkeep best practices. I also want to mention that my first time here was on Halloween, so Fabiola was dressed as Chucky from the Child's Play movies, which was an absolute gas! I knew from the moment I met her, she was going to be awesome! She was so funny and personable, her demeanor put me at ease immediately. The end result was I got the best waxing I ever had.
