5 stars is insufficient about the experience w Ms. LaToya @ Infinite Possibilities Spa. A little about my history w IPS..my first few experiences were when she was located near Mockingbird Lane. I got married, moved to Austin and tried my best to work in a facial while visiting family. Timing just didn't work out in my favor. Scheduled a hot stone massage and was really looking forward to it. I looked over at the windows and was told that no one could see in. I figured that but was wondering why it was so bright in the room. No blinds or curtains. During the massage she dropped the stones three times! More distracting than the bright room. Music was too loud. Maybe to drown out noise from the freeway. The worst part of the massage was when she jerked my toe that I told her was broken! I put on the intake form "no feet" for this reason. I found LaToya via Yelp when I was visiting my sister in Dallas and my skin needed TLC (tender loving care). She was very communicative when I was trying to understand services offered (what's included etc) and answered all my questions. I scheduled my appointment online and arrived for my glow and go facial few days later. LaToya was on-time, very welcoming and a delight to meet! She spent time understanding my skin and spent total 50 minutes with me (including filling paperwork upfront and payment in end) even though the appointment was only 30 minutes. That's what meant the most to me! We all have been to places where we pay for 30 minute services but don't really get that much time of service. She explained everything she was doing, what she was using at each step and why she was using it. I usually get my monthly facials at medical spas and Infinite possibilities service is at par, if not better, and for a lower price! What an amazing experience! I bought a Groupon for a 1-hour Swedish massage and finally got an appointment. I guess the scarcity of available appointments just attests to how wonderful Infinite Possibilities Spa is! Don't be put off by the office-building-like set up - once you walk into their space, the dim lights, relaxing scents, and calming music transports you into a tranquil setting. Yes, the space is small - just enough for the waiting area/desk and a curtain separating the massage area - but it's cozy and once Tara started working her magic hands on me, you don't even remember where you are. Personally, I find some massages painful when people exert too much pressure, but Tara was perfect. I was never in pain, but I left feeling like my muscles got some nice therapy. Don't come here if you're looking for a glam spa experience, but rather if you want a cozy, simple massage, or other treatment that doesn't feel commercialized. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute massage. I was very excited for my massage as I had waited a couple of months before I was able to get an appointment at my desired day of the week and time. LaToya was nice as can be and very personable, but I was disappointed by my overall experience. I arrived on time and filled out the necessary paperwork. By the time I completed the paperwork, changed, and got situated, it was 20 minutes after the hour when the massage actually began. During the massage LaToya talked to me most of the time so it was hard to fully relax, and the massage itself felt very rushed. She didn't spend much time on each section of the body so I was never able to fully relax or enjoy a certain area that she was massaging. I thought that was odd but I didn't say anything. Then to my surprise, the massage ended 5 minutes to the hour so my total massage time was 35 minutes, which was 25 minutes short of what it was supposed to be. The Groupon I purchased was for 1 full hour so you can imagine my disappointment. When I asked LaToya about it she was apologetic but didn't offer to extend the time or schedule a second 30 minute session. She said that she should have asked me to arrive early to start my paperwork, and I pointed out that wouldn't have been possible as there was an appointment leaving as I arrived (we were scheduled back to back and this is a single session room so there is not a waiting area for the next appointment). This was my first time to Infinite Possibilities but I have had many massages in the past, and every place I have been to started the session time once the massage actually began. The time that it takes to complete paperwork and change out of your clothes should never be deducted from the total massage time. LaToya should allow more time in-between appointments so that her clients have time to complete the necessary paperwork without it cutting into their session time. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience at Infinite Possibilities. My advice is to pay attention to the time once the massage starts and make sure you are given the full amount of time that you paid for. read more
