Very nice atmosphere, welcoming and family-like. I love their sausage biscuit-like item, but they have many other items to choose from. I like going into an environment like this and it being more than just donuts. It's more of a breakfast place. They also warm up your item without you even having to ask for it. Very thoughtful. I'm a sucker for baked goods. And I found that they have also freshly made loaf bread's of different types. For instance, I bought a strawberry lemon loaf, also a blueberry, but they also had favorites like banana nut, marble, lemon... These are great for freezing and also to share. I like the idea of supporting local entrepreneurs rather than paying maybe a dollar less for a loaf that's heavily processed at a grocery store. I highly recommend this place. read more

WOW Donuts, they definitely have donuts! Great little spot for me to stop by on my way to work. Front counter lady is always welcoming and kind. Donuts and fresh and oh so tasty and the kolaches are yummmmy as well. This is the only donut spot I have ever seen strawberry frosted donut holes and I am obsessed. Only down side is they do tend to not have many of them (make more please lol) Highly recommend if in need for some tasty donuts and quick service! read more

PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT AS YOU PAY - I was double taxed today. I tried to call the store, but the phone number on the receipt isn't a working number and the voicemail isn't set up for the number shown on a Google search. My receipt shows: Tax 8.25% $1.19 Sales Tax 8.25% $1.19 I love this donut shop! The staff is always sweet, the store is clean, and the donuts are AMAZING! However, with prices in today's economy I don't need to be double taxed too. If this doesn't get resolved expeditiously, I won't be back! read more

5 Stars because they are the closest I can get to 85 Degrees Bakery without going to Carrollton. They have more protein pastry options than your standard sausage kolache (see photos!). They're on the oily side but heeeey, there's options! You can also get cool stuff like red velvet cake donuts, and a pretty wide variety of filled donuts. They also have really cute specialty donuts my daughter loves. I like the options and variety they have to offer. My one beef is that they either do not understand English very well or do not listen well. Each time they cut my order short and ring me up. Usually I have to make 2-3 separate payments because they are in a hurry to get the line going/tune me out before I'm done ordering. It's not consistent to the same person each time, but whatevs. It's right here in midcities! read more

Bought a ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a fruity pebbles donut. First all, this place has no AC and it was stifling in there at 7:15 am. The lady at the counter was very nice. However, after arriving at my office and eating the breakfast sandwich, I noted it was smeared with some kind of mayo-mustard combination. Heat does terrible things to mayo so I threw it out. The fruity pebble donut was stale and I'm assuming from the day before. I do not recommend this donut shop. read more

Pretty large sized bakery/donut shop. They have a large selection of items to pick from. Staff is very nice as well! What we got was pretty good. My make or break is when a donut place makes you order donut holes by the dozen, and sadly for regular glazed donut holes you have to buy by the dozen. You can order the chocolate covered or sprinkle by the half dozen but not glazed. So I get to pay to throw away what my kiddos won't eat. read more

Very great, family owned bakery/ donut shop. My son demands we go every week as a reward for good grades. (The owners are very familiar with us and often give us treats as well) everything is fresh, and they even offer the ability to buy code for the less fortunate (which shows how good they are.) They have numerous shops in the area, which also shows they are doing well and must have good quality. They also offer a ton of cute seasonal donuts which are worth checking out. read more

Southern Donuts and cafe is an occasional stop for me on my way into the office. They have a wide selection of the standard donut and kolache offerings. They also have some other interesting items like sausage flowers, rolls stuffed with sausage, bacon, eggs and the like as well as maple bacon donuts. I have been made to feel like a special customer every time I shop here, the staff is friendly. One of my favorite breakfast stops. I tend to prefer savory items but the sweet items in have tried have been excellent as well. read more

This place is fantastic. Let's be honest, there's not much wiggle room with donuts. You've had one, you've had them all. But what they lack in originality they exceed in customer service. The staff is unbelievably friendly. They love kids and frequently give out freebies to little ones. They appreciate their regulars and any other friendly faces. They even have a pay it forward service for coffees. Customers can purchase a coffee for future guest, place a ticket in a cup, and any future guest can take said ticket and get a free coffee. This place is Awesome!! There may be a hundred donut shops around but this is the only one I will go to. I have tried to change it up and go other places, just for something different, but every time I do I regret not going back to this place. Their donuts are absolutely delicious. Every single thing I have had there has been wonderful and the service is the best. The blueberry donut is amazing!! The people that work there are always friendly. They smile and wish you a nice day. This goes a very long way in business. We discovered this bakery 5 years ago and don't often get to this part of the Metroplex. Now that I know they survived through all the 183 construction, we will make a special trip back. They are the only bakery we have found that makes European style kolache with pastry dough, instead of bread dough. Yummy!! read more

I called at closing to get my youngest a treat and they stayed open for the 15 minutes it took me to get there, and had my order ready as well as a special treat for my daughter. This is a great place for breakfast! I'm also very surprised to find that their kolaches are very decent, I've tried jalapeño sausage and ham cheese, I love both of them!!! Another of my favorite is their bear claws. I would also recommend the one next to the bear claws, I can't remember the name of it, but it has raisin, pecan and is cinnamon flavored.
