Happy Fridonutday Yelphers and Yelphims. How are you? You taking care in these unsure times? You are aware there is 95% more goodness in the world if you block out some of the noisy 5%? Yes. We are bombarded with the ugliness hard. It sells. But the good is in abundance if you just direct your attention to it.
One smike you give can be someone elses whole day. One smile you allow yourself to view from someone rlse, yes, can uplift you, but even moreso, validate the smilers gift was received.
Okay so technically is still Saturday for all of us fortunate enough to be retired. But, out of solidarity with those of you still grinding, it's Friday. Woo hoo you!
What better way to start a Friday mornings grind than with freshly ground roasted beans of java. What better pairs with java than an airy, fluttery, yeasty sweet confection we call donuts. Who better to get them from than the family running Donut plus.
Smiles time. Good morning greeting through the door of my local family owned Donut spot. Love it. An awesome family providing racks upon racks of some of the most original donuts, but today, just the og glazed.
What I love is that these are super super light when heated for just 6 seconds. It's as if all the calories escape via the whole in the middle. But, they usually slide a hole or two in the bag or box as well. Not to worry, they aren't really a donut so they don't count against your diet. Those are just tiny portable chunks of joy. Who doesn't need every piece of joy in the world right now?
Had the Croissant with sausage and cheese as well. Flakey, juicy, cheesy. Even without the sausage these rolls would be a delight.
Waved buh bye to the fam spot, took the goodies home to enjoy with my coffee with the wifester.
Okay, so you know what's next if you've ever read my Yelps. Yep. Are you good? No really, are you taking care to get out and be a part of the world? If so, good for you. The world isn't the same without you visiting once in a while.
If not, um, please, open the blinds, have them opened for you if unable. Look out there. The sky may be cloudy today, but the sun is still there. You made it to today to bear witness to that glorious life giving ball of molten rock. Like that rock, you give off energy as well. Make sure you share it. Give of your hest to another human that may be turning cold. Light a fire within them.
