I want MORE of these MOUSA DONUTS! Now, I went on a hot donut day ~ Valentine's Day ~ so unfortunately they were sold out of everything but Glaze Donuts. Now (at 39 weeks pregnant), I was craving a very specific donut ~ a Maple Donut ~ so unfortunately I need to go back. Before I left, I thought let's just get some donut holes to go. A dozen. The man at the counter asked, "Is this your first time?" When I said, "Yes!" He said, "It's on the house!" This random act of kindness just made my day!! I left with a rosy smile across my face :D When I got home, my husband and I made a batch of fresh coffee and shared a little donut hole date. #romanceIknow The donut holes were light, perfectly textured and coated in glaze. We were sad when each of our six tiny bites were gone and both said, "Those are the best donut holes in town!" Can't wait to try their big donuts next time! read more

Yummies...I almost hate to leave this review cause they already be selling out of stuff... Service is top-notch! The atmosphere is a regular looking donut shop. Now let me tell you, I have tried a lot of stuff and everything was delicious. My favs are the blueberry donut, spice donut, cinnamon roll, and the blueberry fritter. The kolaches are also tasty. I have to admit that I am a bit on the fence about this one. The donuts I did get were good, very thick and had a slight bit of crust edge to them which I like, however, I stopped in at 0700 and they only have 5 flavors of round hole donuts. I really like a good apple fritter, and they said it would take 30 minutes to make. I rarely with 30 minutes for a full dinner at a restaurant, I'm definitely not waiting 30 minutes for an apple fritter that should already be in the display case by 0700 in the morning. This was a very discouraging. To add insult to injury, at 0700, the coffee wasn't even made yet. Goodness, they had 3 empty pots. Luckily that didn't take but a minute to make. The place is dark at night, the parking lot is small and very dark as well. The building looks old, tho it was clean inside. Had a few tables to sit at. Although the donuts are thicker than most and have a good flavor, they seemed ill prepared for this late in the morning. read more

My wife and I were in the area for an early morning physician's appointment. On the way home we saw Mousa Donuts and decided we needed coffee and doughnuts when we got home. Mousa Donuts were right there so we whipped into the parking lot. Wow, the fritter and cinnamon roll were absolutely unbelievable. They were prepared and fried to perfection. went this morning right when they opened because I wanted hot and fresh donuts, all the donuts i got were cold and tasted like they were leftover donuts from yesterday kolache sausage was also room temp right when they opened so one can assume they just threw whatever was left from the day before. Also it says they open at 7 but if you walk in within the first 30 minutes of opening they won't have anything ready, i'd recommend going over to a&h donuts their donuts are always hot and fresh read more

There's a donut place near my in-laws where I always want to visit for a cinnamon roll every time we fly out there. I thought it was the best cinnamon roll ever. Until I had the hubby run to Mousa this morning since I really wanted a cinnamon roll. It's a small, unassuming shop... kind of old-fashioned in a great way, and I'd heard nothing about them, but they are the closest to our new apartment, and I had him pick one up for me. This thing is huge - and the apple fritter he got is as big as my head! The folks running the shop were very friendly and helpful. And this cinnamon roll may be the best one I've ever had! read more

My first time going- I decided to stop and get a quick doughnut right before my blood transfusion at Moncrief down the street - ( I had 5 min until my appointment time) so It was a little late in the day and you know a donut place is good when they're already almost sold out. I got the spiced cake donut- and since it was my first time he gave it to me for free! It was so kind and totally made my day- I had just found out I have to start chemo, and was up with my children all night who were sick. Right when I went to leave my steering wheel locked up and I couldn't start my car- so I went back inside and asked for some help almost in tears because I was going to miss my appointment and I wasn't strong enough to turn the wheel myself, he came out and barely touched the wheel and my starter, and my car turned on. I made my appointment- and Mousa now has a customer for life! Thank you sooo much! Stopped by this little shop because another donut spot we wanted to try was closed. I am happy we did try this place! My son in law is a picky eater and first bite he was sold! New great donut spot in Near Southside. Drove past a few times before, but hadn't stopped in until someone recommended it to me. I definitely was not disappointed. This is a great spot. They have a good selection of donuts, and also offer apple fritters, cinnamon rolls and sausage rolls. Everybody in my group enjoyed the donuts and sausage rolls we ordered.
