Driving around and this place caught our eyes. We decided to stop by for Donuts, I mean, why not. So many donut flavors to choose from. We got the Rhubarb filled donut and Strawberry shortcake donut. The rhubarb filling was absolutely delicious. It wasn't too sweet or tart, but was perfect! Definitely a must try. We also got the Strawberry shortcake donut which tasted so fresh and creamy and wasn't too sweet either. Both were so yummy!!

I found this little spot in a walk while visiting ft. Worth. Cute donuts and shop! The staff were just sitting on their phones when I walked in and were not friendly... but the pumpkin donut was tasty.

Their apple fritters are to DIE for, but I can't leave without getting some donut holes!

If you find yourself in downtown Fort Worth around breakfast time, or even not at breakfast time, Funkytown is a great local spot to pop into. They have rotating monthly flavors, along with some of their staples like the maple bacon doughnut and apple fritters which are by far the best I've ever had. It's a pretty small location, though they do have some outdoor seating as well. And if you are up for an adult beverage, they also have beer and wine to go. The staff are always friendly, and it's just a great little spot to grab a sweet treat.

An adorable shop with equally adorable donuts! I love the concept of being able to get donuts as well as drink in the same place! Truly a unique business! The donuts are delicious with tons of interesting flavours! Definitely worth the price! The staff was so helpful and patient as me and my partner decided what to get. Also so nice as to make us custom drinks! We took our delicious donuts and drinks around the corner to the square to enjoy, couldn't have asked for a better experience!

This was a fun little find for a segue between breakfast and lunch :). We literally just happened past it, and I usually try to avoid donut places because I can't do gluten anymore and I LOVE donuts! However, my friend peeked in the window and saw both vegan and GF donuts! Made my day! My friends both really liked their donuts (regular, but can't remember what they got), and then since the GF ones were a bit smaller, I ended up getting two. One was blueberry lavender (I think!), and the other chocolate frosted. Both were delicious, and decently priced as well!

Aw man, I wanted to love these donuts so badly. I am a huge donut/doughnut person. Like I would literally drive 6 hours for some donuts if I felt it was worth it. (I have done this) I've had this place saved for a few years since being in Texas and I finally got the chance to come by. The place is super cute. The woman who helped me was very nice and patient while I took time choosing my donuts. But, when it came to the moment I actually ate some, I had 3 before I decided that these weren't going to get any better. For me it was the dough that was unimpressive. I feel like a lot of places try to manipulate the doughnut and make it into something innovative and completely miss the mark. So sad.

Stopped in for an early Saturday morning fuel stop. Beer & Donuts? Heck yeah! We enjoyed our Jalapeño bagel dogs and our favorite donut was the maple bacon. The apple fritter was tasty. The other donuts we tried were the Samoa, Star Berry, and Carrot cake donuo- all were ok but nothing to get excited about. My Martin house brewing "ShellShock" stout beer had caramel & vanilla notes and wrapped up my bkft quite nicely.

I took ONE bite of the Sweet Potato with Marshmallow cake donut and lost my mind!!!! It was sooooo soft and just the right amount of marshmallow, just the right amount of sweetness!!! Went and grabbed coffee and made a DETOUR back to grab a couple more to take home!!! This is one I hope pops back up on the menu ALLLLL the months of the year!!!!

They were closed but came out and said they had a few left

For most others, there's plenty of accessible parking and it's kinda tucked away in it's own lot. The burger offered was the "Our Taphouse" - a dry ranch seasoned beef patty with shredded cheese and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon jam. The burger was definitely good. It's messy since there are some more toppings prone to falling out. I will say that in terms of taste, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. I think it was the combination of carmelized onions and bacon jam that made it too much for me that it overwhelmed the savoriness that I'd prefer to be the main flavor with the burger. This time I didn't dine in personally but I will say that the place looks like it has a nice vibe to it, especially outside. It looks like there's plenty of seating with an area for musicians to perform. I'm looking forward to coming back one day and maybe watching a game and getting a drink.

I've been to this location many times, and also the one in Houston. For those who aren't familiar with it, they offer a variety of beers from local brews to beers you'd normally have to travel internationally to find. They also serve a variety of food and other beverages (non beer) It was a lovely evening (temperature-wise) when we stopped by, and we so rarely get those, and we opted to sit outside. I've been inside and there plenty of seating, a couple different areas/rooms, everything is clean, and it feels like a fun, lively, yet cozy pub experience. Outdoors was similar. We sat at a table and played a couple games we brought from home. It was great people watching Our server was very attentive and friendly. We got our drinks in no time, and they were there to continuously check in on us (without hovering). We ordered beers, cocktails, and a little snack (sweet potato fries), and everything was delightful Some tips: Parking can be tricky downtown, but there are plenty of parking garages. I would also consider a ride share just to be safe and to maybe continue the night bar hopping (assuming other bars are open lol). Sundance is right around the corner, and it's definitely worth a stroll if the weather cooperates Also, as I mentioned above, they serve non-beer drinks. So, don't feel obligated to order a beer if that's not your thing. They've also offered a "beer-tour" in the past. Ask your server about that Cheers!!

This is not my usual style of restaurant, but some people might find it appealing it. The service was good! Our waitress was nice and got us our food quickly. The restaurant was actually pretty empty for being a Tuesday afternoon. The part that brought my rating down so much was due to the food being very average. My burger did not really taste beefy or char-grilled. Rather, it tasted similar to a frozen patty made at home which I would have enjoyed equally if not maybe more. The fries were not enjoyable to me at all. Fries are my number one comfort food and it hurt me to have to leave most of them on the plate to be trashed, but I just couldn't get them down. I'm not sure if the made the BBQ sauce in house or not, but it was overly smokey and I couldn't eat that either. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but my bill came to over $20 for just a burger and fries. It was very overpriced for something that was half not enjoyable and half average. I would not come back.

The double-story building is a large, open Texas beer hall that blends modern and traditional saloon styles with an intentionally eclectic, whimsical vibe reminiscent of a theme park. For instance, the bathroom doors look like jail cells with hands on the bars, while the pristine stalls feature portraits of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. I used the Willie Nelson and was "on the commode again". The centerpiece is a huge, three-sided bar adorned with neon signs, vintage Western memorabilia, industrial brewing equipment, and a massive wall of taps. It serves both classics and ready-to-serve frozen drinks, which you can enjoy in the pet-friendly beer garden backyard party. Order you "two pina coladas and hope they fill 'em to the brim if your world is kind of rocky and you need to learn to swim." (That was Garth Brooks or Maya Angelou). The casual, amphitheater-like patio faces an outdoor stage built into the bed of a vintage truck. The live music (even 12:30pm on a Thursday) is loud enough to be festive but managed so you don't have to scream to be heard. The entire area is covered by a massive glass and steel retractable roof, ensuring comfort in any weather, in case you don't "love a rainy night nor think it's such a beautiful sight, and hate to feel the rain on your face, taste the rain on your lips in the moonlight shadows." (That was Eddie Rabbit or SunTzu). The seating options are excellent and varied. Groups can share high-tops around a gas fire or a lit tree, or even sit in kitschy sawed-off pickup truck beds with bench seating. You can also find lounge chairs near the outdoor fireplace, huge swinging benches, and plenty of folding beach chairs on the astroturf. For dining, you can order affordable bar food from a window and receive a pager, so there is no need to "might as well lay down and nap 'cause you've spent half your life just waiting on a nacho." Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it!
