This is my favorite donut shop in the area. The owner is really nice and the food/donuts are fresh and delicious. My favorites are all of the croissant options. Especially the ham and cheese and the jalapeno and cheese croissants, which are pretty big. Service is always great. On my list visit they threw in a free apple fritter and went to the back to grab me a fresh eclair. I love the cream in the eclair. The kolaches are good, but croissants will always win for me. I don't eat donuts often, and every few months me and my son will get up early Sunday and grab a few donuts and the donut holes.

I never see them busy whenever I pass by but they seem to stay in business for awhile now...Finally came in to check them out today. I'm a devoted Shipleys donut fan so this little shop does not compare. Unfortunately there's not Shipleys around here. so I had to work with what I have. I got a strawberry and a plain. My go-to donut place on sleepy Sunday mornings. Beautiful, fresh, French-looking donuts here. I came here to procure kolaches for my visiting in-laws, and the owners were kind enough to throw in some croissant sausage rolls to let us sample them. Then a beautiful, powdered donut filled with chocolate frosting caught my eye so I had to get it; hubby got a blueberry cake donut. The owners then threw in an apple fritter and a crueller. My donut was DELICIOUS. Rich, decadent chocolate frosting. For the dozen kolaches and two donuts we ordered was $13 something. But yeah-- I drive past another donut place to get this one! read more

Donut Wheel is by far the best Donut Shop in the DFW area. I have been coming here since we moved to Texas in 1989 and have NEVER been disappointed. They have a really great variety of donuts and the donuts are always fresh and delicious! The kolaches are yummy as well! Another thing about this place is the folks who operate the place are so kind and friendly. They always have a smile for anyone coming in the door or driving up to the window. And as if all that weren't enough, they are most generous! I have never come to the shop without leaving with a little something extra that they threw in "just because". I recommend them to anyone who enjoys excellent donuts and selection and who enjoys a friendly smile! You just can't miss! read more

Small donut shop with personable owners. They always get your order and get you out. The donuts are good. But I really like the sausage croissant rolls. They are light, flaky and buttery. The cost is about average, they usually gave you a little extra donut holes with your orders. This is a great gesture. Even if they didn't do that I would still go. All of the same donuts you find at most donut shops they have at this shop. Give them a try. read more

Most heavenly donut I've had in quite some time. The blueberry is the standard in which I judge all donut places. This one passed my thorough examination - twice. Service was meh, but my expectations were low being a drive-thru. If you're in the area and need a quick breakfast - I'd definitely give the donut wheel a shot. read more

Just swung by to try something new, and needless to say my wife and I will be back. We got 1 sausage roll and 1 sausage croissant, 1 boston creme, 1 chocolate peanut donut, 1 glazed, 1 french crueller twist, The sausage roll or pig in a blanket made from Ekrich sausage and their homemade dough was soft and moist, I liked the croissant better, It was flaky and butterey...DELISH! All the donut products we bought tasted great and were airy and fluffy... just like they were made that day. Being from the northeast were only used to mass produced, trucked in, corporate based dunkin donuts, this beats it! We also got free donut holes (munchkins to you dunkin donut freaks) as a courtesy for stopping in. They were glazed, man they were soft, moist and airy! read more

Skip Dunkin donuts and come here! They were melt in your mouth. Highly recommend the Apple fritter, blueberry cake donut, and glazed old fashioned. I already know what I want to try next time too. Owners are super nice and the two times we have come in they have given us a couple of free donuts :) p.s. Every so often they sell beautiful bonsai trees out front. This place...I wish I got the name of the lady behind the counter when I went because she was awesome. She actually listened to me, was super fast, and even gave me free donut holes (ok, so she bought my love with free donut holes). I do have to give fair warning: the long donut with the frosting looking stuff on top has the frosting on top AND inside of it, and it tasted like cake icing. Too much sweet for me, and that's saying something because I'm in love with sugar. I recommend this place, though, just not that particular item. Oh, and they have a great variety, too. :) read more

I Happen to be doing Lyft and decided to stop for a mere breakfast snack. I Pull to the window, She says, "Hello Good Morning" I said May I have a sausage cheese croissant. She then ask would you like it warm. I said yes. She IMMEDIATELY walks off not even getting the rest of my order. I then ordered some donut holes. "3.88" she says. I give her all quarters. $4 to be exact. I get my Change and drive off. I look in the sack. HAM & CHEESE Croissant. I pull back in only to found a man saying, "What do you want?" I repeated his question. I said the order is wrong. He gets the lady from the window, she says this what you order, i advised that I placed an order for a sausage and cheese croissant. She says "how many you want" I said just 1 . Then she RINGS me up. And hands me a DOLLAR BILL back. I said where is the rest of my money. She then begins to say it's taxes. No ma'am! The croissant was only 1.19 dozen donut holes were 1.29. That's 2.48 without taxes with was 2.58. Let's just say she gave me a dime back. read more

I stopped by this donut place on my way to work at Hurst last Monday around 10:30 in the morning. The business had apparently slowed down from the early morning crowd. I walked in and received a warm welcome from Sue and her husband. I loved their plain sugar donut. It is so fluffy, so soft. Never mind Krispy Kream or Duncan Donut. This place's donut tastes so much better. Since last Monday, I have come back to this place 3 times already!! Definite a 5-star donut place for the donuts and the great customer service. read more
