Our family LOVES ice cream so it's no surprise when a new ice cream shop opens we will try it out. Inside the shop they have a giant rainbow cone displayed like a museum artifact. The staff is friendly and informative about Rainbow Cone's history and menu. My rainbow cone was delicious even though I prefer 1 or 2 flavors and not 5. I love the fact they put the cone in a plastic sheath with a lip to catch the drips; you know in Texas ice cream melts quickly so you need to lick fast. Brought my kids here for ice cream. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and more than just ice cream. I love the pink aesthetic of the place, they have pink walls with white polka dots and cute murals. The Staff was friendly and they greeted us as we walked in. We had just enjoyed a nearby barbecue spot and wanted to hang out and enjoy the gorgeous weather. My daughter happened to look over and notice a pink building so we went to investigate. This is a super neat ice cream shop. They do have a drive thru option which I personally am not interested in because that's not how I enjoy my ice cream. There's plenty of inside seating plus a nice outdoor patio. They have a neat "rainbow" concept here for the flavors. Their ice cream is delicious and the service we received was top notch. I like the ice cream but the service needs work. One day in July my daughter and I went to the drive through at 1230 pm and waited and waited before finally driving up to the payment window, someone came over and said oh we don't open until 1pm. Huh? The website says 11 am? There were staff inside but they wouldn't serve us. I haven't been back since because who knows if they will even be open?!?! read more

We discovered this wonderful place some weeks ago. After trying their signature Rainbow Cone made up of 5 flavors of sliced ice cream we have since fallen for what is arguably the best banana split. From mid afternoon until dinner the place is hopping with school children and parents, but we never have a problem getting a quiet table of our own. There's also deals to be had for seniors during the middle of the day. Not sure why this is the only place in Texas at the present but until another shop appears closer to where you live, it is absolutely worth the drive. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I've tried three times. The first was a delivery with ice cream sandwiches. They were good and I was intrigued by the flavors so the next time I went into the store. Tables were dirty but they were so busy I thought it was likely an oversight. The third time I went in because I had a coupon. It was an electronic one that I couldn't open until I got in the store. I was with my family and trying to talk with everyone about what to order so I didn't look at it - just free it was buy one get one free. I had to open the coupon while I was in line and after we placed the order I showed my coupon to the owner who took a tone with me to tell me that the coupon was only for the rainbow cone and "it's clearly stated there". I was buying the ice cream we had ordered anyway. Would it have killed him to be nice about it? My $22 purchase for three items wasn't probably worth the effort to him. Once again the tables were dirty, few customers, employees standing around like they had nothing to do. I was there more than thirty minutes and finally saw the kid with the drive thru headset on come over and begin wiping some tables. I think he was bored. My table had ice cream and trash from previous customers but he skipped it. It was one of the long tables and the trash was at the other end with no one around and it was obvious it had been there for a while. The person behind the register (probably the owner based on how he was dressed) was busy upselling to some customers and did that with every customer we saw. I almost went up there to tell him that the tables needed to be cleaned but I figured if he didn't know the employees standing right behind him had nothing to do (there were many long breaks between customers) and the place needed some cleaning - it probably wasn't going to help much for me to tell him. There are many great sweet treat options who appreciate my business in close proximity so I won't go back here. read more

This place just opened up and it's been pretty packed, I'm assuming because it's brand new. I honestly don't know what all the hype is about, it's ice cream and donuts and cake. Got my granddaughter one scoop of ice cream in a cup for almost $5.00 which seemed pretty pricey for a scoop of ice cream. We met a couple with their granddaughter at McDonald's next door and they told us it was pricey and they wouldn't be back.
