We ordered an Italian salad and a large supreme pizza! We got fresh bread before that! It was sooo good! The crust was amazing! Where do you get a large pizza for $20 anymore? The food is always good, tastes good every single time I've gone for 15+ years, but this isn't the place for someone with food allergies. I always mention my severe allergy for the kitchen to make note of but have still gotten a reaction from cross contamination a few times, which doesn't happen so much at other restaurants. If you have no food allergies you won't regret eating here. The pasta fagiole and chicken aristocrat and NY style pizza are the best around. read more

this place is more like 3.5 out of 5 stars. This place is a small local Italian restaurant located in the middle of a strip mall. When we walked in, they told us we could sit anywhere. We ended up getting one seafood entree and one chicken entree along with one small side salad that comes with house sauce. The salad was really simple and the house sauce was actually really good. When we first got it, we wonder why they served it with Marinara... but its actually sweet and very interesting. They also gave us some garlic bread as well. The garlic bread was nice to soak up the sauce, but the garlic flavor wasn't strong as all. For the entree, we got the below items. For the price we paid, i think it was reasonably priced. Seafood fettucine with pink sauce = while the menu stated it came with crab, my wife thought it was real crab. but in fact they used imitation crab meat instead. lol. but it was still delicious. Was in the area visiting a friend and told her I'd pick up lunch for us. She said that this location was her favorite Italian restaurant. I ordered the chicken piccata and asked the hostess what her favorite appetizers was and she said stuffed artichokes and I went with it. I was honestly disappointed by both but my friend thought her item was great. My spaghetti was so soft and mushy with tons of capers and the chicken was 3 blonde chicken tenders lightly breaded with no sauce. Went for lunch today with several previous co-workers, we ended up being a party of six. From the moment we arrived u til we left, the service was impeccable. The waiter asked for our drink orders as everyone arrived. He kept the drinks filled, brought us bread, and gave us time to peruse the menu and then took our individual orders. Soups and salads were brought out and then the entrees were brought out allowing us enough time to eat the appetizers. The food was hot and very good! I got eggplant parm and was very happy with it. Overall I would rate the restaurant a 2.5 stars. The service was decent. Very sweet waitress. The ambiance was quaint and nice. Definitely a local hole in the wall place but I like that and expected more. However the food just did not hit the mark. The sauce and vegetables in the sauce were not cooked down and you could still taste the alcohol in the sauce. The Canadian bacon was just round charcuterie slices and not cooked completely. Nicholas was an absolute legend as a waiter. The service is unbeatable. My family is a bunch of foodies, (typically hard to please). Not tonight! Everyone was thrilled with the food. The bread is fresh soft and garlicky with melted butter on top. We ordered the Sicilian deep dish, fettuccine Alfredo, cannelloni, calamari, and cheese sticks for kids, not one complaint! The deep dish (not like Chicago style) was cooked to perfection. Great crunch on the crust and melted greatness on top! The fettuccine sauce tasted homemade, and the cannellini was divine! Now let's talk deserts! Omg the lemonchello cake, shut your face, it was phenomenal along with the tiramisu and cherry swirl gelato, the pistachio cannoli was perfection! My boyfriend has eaten here a couple times with his daughter and the both really liked it so he promised to take me when I came back in town. We set out on an early shopping morning and by lunch we were famished. We actually ended up at OG because it was close to where we shopped but their wait time was longer than our hunger could stand. We were initially going to find a Hibachi restaurant but by that time I'd gotten my mouth all tuned up for Ravioli. I remembered this place and we headed there (by this time I'd eaten there once via takeout and enjoyed it). I expected a bit of a crowd but there was none. There were maybe 2 or 3 tables occupied. Service was quick. I ordered the calamari as an app but he wasn't really interested in it. I had it all to myself. They were tasty. Not a fan of marinara sauce so I skipped that. The ravioli was so good. Again. Not a red sauce fan so I was able to ask for a a simple herb and oil with mine and it was delicious. It was only two ravioli but they were huge. Came here last night for dinner and everything was soooooo goood! I made my own pasta with penne, pink sauce, and grilled chicken and it was delicious. My daughter liked her vodka rigatoni. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was fine. The accompanying bread was all burned. Two rolls were served that were not fresh but decent tasting in the middle. Order of Chicken Franceses was mostly inedible because chicken was not fresh and very tough and dry. I asked our server if the chicken was fresh and she said she didn't know. Even though I told the server the food was not good and it was uneaten, still got charged for it. Alright, alright, I'm an Italian food lover. Came here for my birthday today and was not disappointed. A few critiques but nothing that won't bring me back. Our waitress was great! Funny and checked on us perfectly. Our water was never half empty and she cleared empty plates. We got so much food! The artichoke heart appetizer is great!! Loved the sauce and it was so easy to eat. Might I say that aside from wanting more balsamic, the caprice was amazing! The Bread was so perfectly toasted I could eat bites without a mess or "cracker like bread" breaking. The cannot lose this!! Now we also got stuffed mushrooms. We're they beyond miniature? That was disappointing. Tasted great but was a "side" not a shareable appetizer. My pasta dish of choice was the Zappa Di Pesce and I love the flavor! My one BIG complaint is it was not crab...it was fake and a LOT of it. My husband got the Veal and Sausage Giambotta and honestly he thought the sausage was dog food. The Veal was fatty and chewy, he could not get a bite of it all due to this. I also (birthday overload) for a kids fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. After a horrible takeout experience 4 years ago we tried again. You could taste the frozen on the tiny cut of lasagna that tasted somewhat of Stouffer's with some added sauce. Granted it was better than the slice of cheese lying over two lasagna noodles with watered down sauce as a few years ago. I will say their bread is very good. Had dinner here one Saturday night a few weeks ago. We had reservations and I would recommend them as the place was pretty busy. We were seated promptly and our server met us to get our drink order. It was then that we realized this is a BYOB place. Bummer... I didn't notice that anywhere on their website when I checked their menu. Maybe they could consider adding making that more prominent? We had the lasagna and a calzone. I thought my calzone was very good, but my friend nor I were wild about the lasagna. We both thought the noodles were a bit mushy and that overall it was "wet." That stemmed from a lot of sauce and there was water in the boat-type dish that it was served in. Water in/on a pasta plate is an instant "oh oh" for me. The flavor was good, no problem there. Just watery pasta is hard for me to get by. I will admit that I am kind of an Italian food snob - for lack of a better term. I travel and vacation in Italy almost every year so anywhere stateside is going up against their Italian version of the same dish. The food here (like most places in the states) reminds me of New York Italian food. Good, but different from Italy. The biggest difference is that the sauces tend to be sweeter and we tend to put much more sauce on things. I would come back here and give them another go. As I said, my calzone was very good....but I'd bring a bottle of wine next time! read more

My husband tried the spinach and said it was just ok. I'm not a fan of egg soup. The we had the calamari appetizer, we all enjoyed. The antipasto salad was very nice. Pizza was half pineapple for the 11 year old and sausage and onion for the other. We enjoyed it very much. The favorite item of our evening was the pizza. Pasta entree was the seafood fettuccine, was very disappointing and was marked as a chef special. The crab was imitation, the ACH rump were over cooked and the scallops were bay, but the scallops were the best in the dish. We will return for pizza, appetizers, soup and salad. read more

We happened to be in the HEB area for an errand and decided to try something different. Of course I relied on my Yelpers and they never let me down. It's a small mom and pop Italian place and looked nice inside. They even have a small patio outside. I was surprised that it was not busy in a Friday night. We ordered the garlic, cheese and tomato bread to start. It was good but didn't blow me away. They also bring out two large garlic rolls. If I had known that I wouldn't have ordered the extra bread. I ordered a cup of soup but that never came until after the meal came out. I saw the seafood fettuccine with a pink sauce and knew that was going to be my choice. My wife saw the chicken rolletini on the next table over and made up her made instantly. I was not let down when they delivered our plates. They both looked amazing. I was very impressed with the large shrimp in my fettuccine. The flavors were right on and I really enjoyed it. Of course I had to try my wife's and I had a dilemma. Could I talk her into trading!!?? Needless to say I stole several more bites. That dish was AMAZING! No room for dessert in this trip. I was impressed with the nominal prices too. I'm choosing to give them 4 instead of 5 because our waiter was a pain in the butt. Kept coming to our table taking credit for the meals and same with other tables around us. Cafe Sicilia is a mom and pop restaurant in Bedford. I was craving for some good pasta so I decided to give it a try after reading everyone's reviews about their seafood fettuccine. It has a shared parking space with several other businesses so you'll not have to worry about finding a spot. It looks kind of dark from outside so I was a little bit hesitant to walk in when I got there. I ordered the seafood fettucine that I saw on Yelp (yes, I did my homework). Looks like it is one of the most popular menu.. I saw many people posting the picture of the fettucine. The pasta came with bread and side salad. It is a big portion so I could only finish a half of it. The sauce was very good, but I felt that the pasta was a little bit overcooked rather than al dente. I don't know if it was because I went there during lunch on a week day, but the service was very slow. my server disappeared many times that I ended up staying a lot longer than I expected. Their customer service is AMAZING! Everyone is so nice and welcoming once you enter. I ordered lasagna with a scoop of alfredo on top and a cheesecake Togo. But what I got was lasagna with only Alfredo and it had no meat so I'm guessing that the red sauce is a meat sauce. I wish I was informed of that because I probably would have made another choice for my meal. The lasagna was very underwhelming. It was cold, and there wasn't any silverware in the bag. The managers are always amazing and super accommodating. It is BYOB so don't expect to grab a drink. The calamari is PHENOMENALLLL. Biggest downside is our actual server was rude to us. I knew it was a little over an hour til closing so I called to verify that we'd be ok and the kitchen wasn't closing before I brought my family. Manager said "come on in!" So we did. My husband had questions about the menu and our server was super curt with us. I'm not sure if that's because we were there late or if there was some other reason, but it leaves a bad taste. I had been here a few times in the past and had good experiences. I went again last week, so I'm not sure if there was a change in management/ownership or if it was a fluke. But it was about 4pm on a weekday. The restaurant was empty. My daughter was craving spaghetti after school, so I brought her. We weren't greeted when we arrived; the wait staff let us stand there a while before telling us to seat ourselves. It seemed like about half the tables had dirty dishes on them and were not clean. No attempt to pick them up was made during our visit. It just seemed really dirty to eat around all these dirty tables and plates. I know there's been staffing issues all around with COVID-19, but their staff weren't particularly busy. It's also a pet peeve of mine when businesses mandate masks for entry, (which is fine), but then their staff don't wear them. *face palm* My daughter got a kid's spaghetti and meatball which barely had any sauce. I got a broccoli and olive oil noodle dish, but was turned off by the brown, limp broccoli. I don't think they used fresh broccoli. When my husband picked through the leftovers when we got home, he demanded where we went because "this food has no spirit."
