Good day everyone, or so I hope. Another first world food review. Hopefully we're all on one accord that my reviews are from my gratitude of being privileged to have experiences, despite our shared global economic meltdown. My children were raised in Hurst, and for years now, we've gone to NE Mall to the movie theater. Carrabba's is just outside, yet I never dined there. A few days ago I needed lasagna in my life. Carrabbas truly should have been in my rotation long ago. The service staff dotes on you from entry to exit. The food tastes better than the pictures on the menu can capture. Ordered the trio with penne pasta, chicken parm, and lasagna. Penne pasta might as well just had crushed tomatoes in it, no garlic or herbs to taste. Call it Mac and tomatoes please. Chicken parm had no flavor, cheese wasn't fresh, and chicken was rubbery. The lasagna was mediocre at best. Best part of the meal was the bread and oil. I am very pleased with my experience. I have been here twice now and both times were great. I got seated very quickly, my waitress was friendly, and my appetizers and food came out fast. I absolutely love this salmon and steak both were seasoned and cooked well. I enjoyed my sides, literally everything was perfect! I will keep coming back to try more! read more

We called ahead to make a reservation but they don't take them. Instead it's call ahead seating so we requested a table for 4 at 7:45 PM. After giving our name I called our friends who were joining us and gave them the info. They arrived before us and when we joined them at the table the had already ordered blackberry sangria by the pitcher. My husband ordered an ice tea. He told me on the way home that our waiter never refilled his tea while we were there. We sat waiting for our waiter to return to take our order and bring us another set up of bread and spices with olive oil. It felt like it took some time for him to return. My husband ordered wings and a side salad with creamy parmesan and I ordered Tuscan chicken with a side of pasta and tomato sauce with a side salad as well. Our friends ordered spaghetti and chicken Brian with a side of zucchini and a bowl of lentil soup. The food was great but our waiter just seemed to struggle at every turn. We asked him to split the check, our friends opting to pay for the sangria and he didn't do it. I didnt have enough cash so we flagged him down gave him our cards and asked him again to split it. He brought back our split check but no charge receipts and no credit cards. We finally got it right on the third try. The manager did stop by our table but at the beginning on our meal when we had not ordered yet. Our friends love this place but I miss the great service and cool feel of the one that used to be in Grapevine that is now home to Great Scott. read more

I know it's a chain but it's the best Italian chain out there. Everything from the bread to the wine is delish. The staff really knows how to make you feel comfortable, even when you're dining along. They're attentive but not annoying. This time around I couldn't decide between two of the chicken dishes, so the waitress suggested the chicken trio. The trio had Chicken Bryan, Pollo Rosa Maria and Chicken Marsala. The Marsala was good but the Rosa Maria was fantastic and the Bryan was amazing. I had plenty to take home but I was glad I tried them all. Next time Bryan all the way! (And a dinner companion because that bottle of wine is always more fun to share.) read more

What you would expect from a chain restaurant. Food was just fine but super overpriced. Good fresh made food but not worth the difference considering there are many, many "mom and pop" italian places nearby. I think if you want the typical chain restaurant experience, this location did deliver a good meal and offered good service with the manager checking on our meal also. My true opinion, cut portions and prices and this is a win! read more

We have not been to a Carraba's in forever. Not sure why we stopped going, but we have been missing out. Came with my family for a birthday. Husband wanted Italian, it was close, done deal. The service was great, the food was great, prices were a little steep, but I could stomach it with how great the food was. Starts out with the bread. Yes. Then salad and soup, your choice. I got the minestrone which was great. Rest of the family ordered the Italian salad and enjoyed it. I ordered the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, husband ordered the fettuccine, rest of the family ordered lasagna. My chicken was huge. I felt like it was a great deal for the price. Super juicy and flavorful. My husband loved his fettuccine. He kept it for leftovers, and said it reheated really well. The lasagna was meh. It was a pretty small portion for the cost ($16) not a lot of sauce to it, and my mom said hers was crunchy. They liked the flavor, but said for the price they'd probably stick to the mom and pop places. Husband and I will definitely be back, we just wish there was one closer to us. read more

Came for lunch and the food was good and so was our waiter. The greeter with the long pink nails and nose piercing needs a new job. She was extremely rude. We walked in and her and a girl with a yellow hair bun were chatting and the hostess (not the one with the bun) was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes and sighed as she walked towards us. Answered the phone in front of us, didn't acknowledge us for a few, even after she got off the phone and, even tho we were the only ones standing there waiting to get seated. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of chains, but I did come here to spend time with friends who like Carrabbas. I tried the wedding soup, and the shrimp and scallops, both of which were rather a let down. The soup itself was overly salted, and didn't have any heartiness. The shrimp and scallops, while fine, were overcooked, and the accompanying broccoli was vastly overboiled. My girlfriend's salmon was overcooked, and the sauce on top was excessively sweet. I will not come back again. read more

One of my all-time favorite Italian restaurants Carrabba's Italian Grill. The service is very good at this location. On Friday they can be busy and may have a small wait. But not always we have been a few times and you get a seat right as you get there. I wish they had more business because they are a very good restaurant and I want them to stay around. The food is very good I love the meals with chicken. The Chicken Marsala, Bryan, and Pollo Rosa Maria all of these are wonderful pick anyone. They all come with a side I pick spaghetti. The other meals like the Sirloin is very good with Marsala sauce it is perfect. The pasta dishes are good and the chicken in the Fettuccine or the Weesie is the best cooked chicken ever. Some of the meals come with a salad or soup. The Mama's Chicken Soup is very good. I would get the soup. The salads are okay nothing special. The beard they bring out is wonderful as well. But it is the herb and olive oil that makes the bread taste great. You always need more herbs, and olive oil. My negative is the price everything is in the 20 dollar range. I fell that some of the meal items are a little pricey and that is hurting the business. But I will still go but not as often as I was going. And a little thing the olive oil was taken off the tables why? Were people stealing the oil? I like to add more oil to my herbs for the bread but I cannot do so anymore. But over all this is a fine restaurant great food and service. And they deserve you business you won't be sorry. read more

Come during Happy Hour as the drink specials are unbelievably good. We came here right before going to the movies. I love their bread and oil they send out before we get our meals. Its so good. I've had the chicken parm here and the lasagna and each have been really good. What really gets me though is that the prices for a franchised restaurant is a really high. Service has been really good here each time we visit. Decent Italian food but super packed in the evenings and weekends. Parking is iffy as this location is next to the mall. read more

I only give a five star when I can't offer any recommendation for improvement. Food, service, and ambience are great. I ordered the Tomato Caprese with Fresh Burrata as an appetizer. I was looking for a rather basic Italian tomato and mozzarella appetizer. This was exceptional. The presentation (see my photo) is exceptional and the flavor was to match. It was bright, delicious, had contrasting flavors, the fresh basil was obvious, and the mozzarella was delicious. Recommended. I ordered the Tuscan Strawberry Salad with wood-grilled chicken. I have to say, it was about as good as any salad I have ever had. The chicken was tender and plump, the strawberries were fresh, and the spices were just right. I had tea for my drink. This place is the best. On Sunday' if you are planning on a visit, make sure you get there very close to 11:30am as possible. After 1:00pm they get really crowded. No reservations. The only thing they have is a call ahead that you can do. Otherwise get there early. They normally have seasonal entrees and that is what I had today. The Mahi Wulfe with garlic potatoes. Of course my side salad. Our waitress Rachel was great! Today was her last day. Moving on to bigger and better things. The restaurant is great! I'm a fan of this chain however I don't like this location. I came for the sangria and as always it was the best but it lacked the alcohol content that I was use to. "Said the lush" jk. The service was just ok but I think it was only my waiter that sucked. I would not go back to this location. The good thing about this location is that it is open for lunch. Plus it has new stuff on the menu that the other locations don't have. F.y.i. It is attached to the mall so the parking maybe an issue if you go on a weekend. read more

My families favorite place to go have good Italian food . Our favorite plate is the Pollo Rosa Maria With fettuccine Alfredo and there House salad . The bread is amazing with the Olive oil and seasoning. The Tuscan beef filet with marsala sauce is very tasty and the meat feels like butter when yuh eat it . My wife and I love having dinner at Carrabba's before going to the movies. The staff is always professional and well trained and they take great care of the customers. The place is clean and the food is good. We enjoy the atmosphere and the fact that it's not very noisy like other places. I know, it's not a Michelin star restaurant and I do not expect anything more than what it is, you shouldn't either. Good food, good wine, the bar is good too and the atmosphere is good. I give it a solid 4 star and I will continue to visit this restaurant and definitely recommend it. read more

I had this Tuscany drink which wad marvelous cranberry juice, lemon cello and prosecco 5 stars. Bread 5 stars olive oil dipping sauce 3 stars something in the sauce probably the garlic was very bitter. Caprease salad - way too much pepper , tomatoes were under ripe and cut to thin. Mozzarella was perfect 3.5 stars because of the cracked pepper. Lentil soup with Italian sausage 5 stars. Shrimp and rissoto . Tomato sauce rissoto was very bland but cook well. The shrimp was also cooked well but there needs to be more shrimp 3 stars Sat at the bar service was excellent. read more

We went for dinner last night and overall, it was a great experience. The bread was hot and fresh with the delicious oil and herbs to dip. Our salads left much to be desired and our waitress got us different ones which were better. Personally, I ordered the pasta weesie and it was fantastic. The pasta was perfection, the alfredo sauce was delectable and the shrimp was good, but slightly over cooked. My daughter ordered the sirloin and said it was tasteless and chewy. It was my son's birthday and the waitress brought him cake with a lit candle which was lovely. Prices are a bit high, but imo, they are everywhere, so I wasn't shocked. Our service was good. *gasps* A Chain. It was surprisingly good though. I got the chicken marsala. The chicken was fresh and had good flavor. Loved the mushroom sauce. The mashed potatoes tasted real and not boxed. If they had bread sticks like the OG, they may have gotten 5 stars.. a big maybe. read more

I've always passed by this restaurant so many times from going to the mall and it never caught my attention to come and eat here till yesterday my friend had told me she had came with a friend and told me how great it was. So I came in with her to give it a try. The inside isn't anything fancy it's almost like a Olive Garden. We came in on a Friday night around 8 it wasn't busy so we easy got seated. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The menu is a little pricy the isn't anything to special that would make me want to come in often to dine in. We ordered a shrimp Alfredo it was like any other Alfredo I was satisfied with it. It came with a salad and we chose Italian it's was alright. We also ordered a pizza topped with Italian sausage,pepperoni, and red bell pepper. It made with a thin crust,the taste was good nothing anything have a wow expression but I liked it. I have been going to this location for more than 10 years. Good friend with the Manager Dane Kusma. Came in and the Hostess seated me in the back corner next to the waiters station with an empty restaurant. Then they seated a couple with 3 kids under the age of 5! Then got to listen to the father on a speakerphone cell call. Absolutely ruined the meal!!!!!! Food and waiter were great... but only offered a chance to move tables after I had eaten half of my meal. Questioning ever returning!!! read more

I was tired of take out food from some local restaurants being cold and just not good over the pandemic! I had a gift card and decided to give Carrabba's a try. Am I glad I did! They went above and beyond! Everything was hot, even after a 15-20minute drive home, fresh and tasted good! They included EVERYTHING, including fresh bread for dipping in their olive oil and spices, that you would have been served at the restaurant if you chose to eat there! This restaurant provided an amazing dining opportunity, and was completely welcoming to our party of 10! We were supposed to dine at Genghis Grill right next door. We were there to celebrate my spouse's citizenship progress!! We had to move our celebration from Genghis Grill, the restaurant next door, because we were met with roadblock, after roadblock, no manager on duty, and were unable to host our party there as planned through the manager 24 hours prior; Genghis Grill was unprepared.. Boy, do I ever love this place. We have been regulars here since they opened. We eat here at least once a month. I would eat here even more but I don't want to wear out my other half on the place. Dane and his staff really make you feel at home. The food is top notch and the wines pull it all together. I love love love the Mama Mandola's Sicilian Chicken Soup. About half of the times we go there I will just have the soup. It is a full meal in itself. The food: we love the Steamed Mussels, Calamari, Pasta Carrabba, and anything Masala. The service: top notch. Although we lost our favorite server due to bigger and better things. The prices: are not cheap around $12 - $20 but well worth the price. Tip for the wine: get a pitcher of the house wines (all are good). The pitcher is about the size of a bottle, maybe a little more, but the price is less than bottle or individual glasses. I'm not sure it's still on the menu but just ask for the pitcher. read more

I love me some Carraba's! I don't think I have had anything on their menu that I haven't loved. Their Mussells are amazing and they come with this sauce that is so sinfully good, I feel like I have to go to church on Sunday after eating it. Their Calimari is crispy which is a nice change from most places where it's super rubbery and soft. They have two types of sauces available-a marinara and another one that I can't quite describe but's delish. I have tried several of their dishes but I tend to gravitate towards their Chicken Bryan Dish. Perfect chargrilled chicken with goat cheese topping. Oh my God. Amazeballs!! As far as chain Italian Joints go...this is the place. I have always said that Olive Garden is the Walmart of Italian Chains....and Carraba's is the Macy's. read more

I really like this place. It's not like knock your socks off, oh my god it's so good food, but it really isn't bad at all. We've been twice now, both times for lunch, and haven't had any issues come up. The service was great both times, and our food was awesome. I've gotten the linguine and clams both times and OMG it's the best I've ever had. Sooooo freaking good. My bf had the Mezzaluna (I think..) and he really liked it as well. This was the first time my wife and I were ever at a Carraba's location. Service was friendly and there was no wait. Just not a fan of this chain restaurant. Were from the north east so were accustomed to mom and pop Italian style restaurants, so needless to say the food tasted like it was a from a mass produced corporation. My wife got shrimp rizzoto (which looked like Spaghetti-Os) and I got the classic combo w/lasagne and chicken parm (which were very small portions for 19.00) with a side of Alfredo (1.50 extra).I enjoyed the bread, it was hot and had a soft center. Im not saying the food was bad, but the ambiance and the overall experience just reminded me of olive garden, and I cant stand Olive garden. read more

It's a bit pricey, but the food is delicious! I always get the Chicken Bryan, it's the best, oh and be prepared to eat a ton of the bread and oil, it's addictive! My only slight complaints about the food would have to be 1.) that sometimes it seems like they overkill the salt factor, which isn't necessary since they seem to be using fresh, tasty ingredients. 2.) the desserts are just ok and lacking in sweetness. Overall though, this place is one of my faves. Drinks are great. Staff is always friendly. Atmosphere is great. Especially if you sit at a booth, even when busy, it's a pleasant, calm experience due to the mood lighting and great service. read more
