I ordered online and was set to pick up my smoothie upon arrival. I enter in and the space is extremely clean and welcoming. There was one person working and I went to the front to let them know I had an online order. Unfortunately she did not speak English. I tried showing her the online order but I never received a confirmation. She pointed to the kiosk to order and I tried again to explain that I order online. She shook her head no and said that she doesn't speak English. I then showed her my bank statement showing that I paid and she nodded her head and pointed to the screens as to ask what I ordered. She made the smoothie and handed it to me. Perfect. Unfortunately, she did not understand that I already paid for the smoothie online. I tried showing her the bank statement again but that did not work. I tried using a translation app but unfortunately none were working at that time. I ended up having to pay for the smoothie again. $21 or so for 1 smoothie. I think the thought was that when someone comes into order, they would use the kiosk. This would in turn, decrease the level of error. This is great but this is not beneficial if you have an online order option and the person working in the business cannot communicate with the customer. She was very nice and the smoothie was great but this was not the best experience for me.

He delivered the (self-serve) taco…read morebar exactly at the time agreed (noon), curbside in front of our office on Constitution Ave, in spite of downtown D.C. traffic during the President Biden African summit. The food was in big warming bags to keep it warm. Food was tasty, not salty or fat-laden like fast food. Everyone (about 35 people) talked about how good it was and asked where it came from. Each (federal government) employee paid a suggested donation to cover the cost, so it was important to me that everyone enjoyed it. Chef Devanta was easy to work with. He offered options and worked with me to stay within budget. He made sure there were vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options AND he made my party-planning responsibility easy! We spoke by phone a few times before and after ordering, then he called 2 days before the party to confirm everything. We talked again this morning just to check in. I am so pleased and grateful! Easy ordering, tasty food, happy group, front-door delivery, friendly chef! I do believe he will be on our preferred business list for the next party! This is one happy party planner!
