We've stayed at the WorldMark Windor a couple of times for a short vacation. It's so close to local wineries, shopping, restaurants, hiking, The Russian River, etc. The rooms are pretty spacious and clean. [Taken from their website] WorldMark Amenities are: Activities Center Barbecue Area Basketball Children's Playground Children's Pool (Outdoor) Computer With Internet (Shared) Concierge Services undefined Day Spa Fitness Center Hot Tub (Outdoor) Massage Services Movie Rentals Owner Lounge Picnic Area Shuffleboard Swimming Pool (Outdoor) Wi-Fi Internet Access (Fee) Discounts given at "some restaurants" if they know you are staying at WorldMark.

I enjoy this WorldMark location, the amenities are great - from the billiards and table tennis, to the pool and multiple hot tubs. I also really appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms, the prompt service whenever anything is needed, and the nearby golf course is a nice compliment to the whole thing. The only reason this place does not get a five star review is due to the paywalled internet access. This location has poor cell phone coverage, and the wireless internet here is $49 for internet on three devices. We roll in as a family of four, two adults and two kids, with cell phones, tablets, and laptops. Even if we only did our cell phones to ensure we can call and text it would be ~$100 for ten days of internet - that's straight up crazy work! Other than this rather important issue, the place is great by every other metric, but unless you either plan to "unplug" while in your room, or don't mind dropping ~$100+ for the luxury of basic speed internet access in 2025, this item is an important one to keep in mind.

Sooo, my husband and I desperately needed a vacation and since we're owners with WorldMark, he booked our stay at WorldMark Windsor. I arrived at the timeshare early because I wanted to surprise him with a sweet message. I was assisted by Lisa and told her about my "great idea" of using rose petals to say I U Lee. Lisa, Rosa and Steven agreed to play along and pretend to only meet me for the first time when my husband and I arrived later together. When we arrived, Dillon assisted us because Lisa and Steven were with other owners and Rosa was on break. All went well, but you have to watch the video. All the staff at Windsor were amazing! I think this location is my favorite so far. The suite was clean, beautiful and decorated very nicely. The grounds were clean and we enjoyed the jacuzzi for hours. We'll absolutely be back in the future! I highly recommend you visit soon!

In room fireplace. Works quite well, looks nice too.

The best WorldMark property we've stayed in so far. Great room, nice people, well situated, their fireplace actually worked correctly too. The grounds were quite nice with many things to do while staying here. Everything seemed well kept. Too bad the place was in Windsor, not a very good area this time of year. Its either foggy or its raining, or trying to do both at the same time. Too cold to even use the BBQ on the patio which was a first for us. I live to grill, my motto: Mongo say, meat, fire, good! We'd definitely stay here again if their was a reason to come this way some day. This last visit to the bay area is most likely the last visit. Its in a constant state of gridlock whenever we were out and about. Frisco has been ravaged by time, its fabled charm is mostly living in the rear view mirror. The infrastructure seems completely unable to support the population density; sad really.

Great location in the Sonoma County WorldMark Windsor is the closest resort from our home. We've stayed at this quiet resort a few times. It is our home away from home while visiting many places in the Sonoma County. Windsor is surrounded by plenty of wineries and, of course, the beautiful Russian River Valley. The resort is clean and accommodations have always been what is expected from WorldMark. The staff are friendly but the part we hate the most is when they start offering these "60-min owner updates." It's never 60 minutes and it's always more than an update. They always try to get you with a $75 Amex card, Wyndham Reward Credits, or some kind of pass for wine tasting for attending. Ugh! Anyway, just 10 minutes away we drove to Downtown Healdsburg to enjoy boutique shops and wineries. Bodega Bay is 31 miles from the resort... we've enjoyed the scenic drive to Bodega Bay with views of the mighty Pacific Ocean along the California coast, we've also stopped by some of the beaches along the way. During our last stay here we enjoyed a drive at the Highway 128 California Wine Country... a scenic stretch of 144 miles. We didn't get as far as the Mendocino Coast but we crossed through Sonoma County, Napa Valley and west of Yolo County. WorldMark Windsor is a great location for a quiet getaway not very far from Wine Country. Review #0175 updated

The man can truly cook. We've tried a variety of his dishes, and each one shows such intention, from the flavor profiles to the textures; and everything is always beautifully presented. It never misses. His congee is absolutely to die for, and those thinly sliced pork pieces with crisped skin and tender, juicy meat are a standout every single time. Check out that pic of burger he made for us for burger week! You can really taste the quality, especially knowing he uses fresh vegetables straight from the garden on the property. That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym. The pool area is stunning, and we loved riding the bikes they provide to explore the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Everywhere you go, there's curated art to enjoy, which adds such a unique and elevated touch. They also host special events throughout the year. We especially love their summer movie nights, lounging on the lawn with fresh popcorn, wine, and Red Vines is such a vibe. All in all, our experience started with the restaurant and kept us coming back for more. It's made even more special by the team, who consistently make us feel so welcomed every time we visit. Thank you for always spoiling us, Chef. We are so grateful for you. Your talent and skill truly shine, and The Madrona is lucky to have you. See you again soon!

They have 2 rolls of toilet paper on display. The complimentary breakfast was a hit. They had chafing dishes with cheese omelets and your choice of turkey or pork sausage patties. We pared this with a cinnamon roll. They also had a variety of juices, chocolate and plain milk, a pancake machine, bagels and breads. Then was something for everyone. I'd stay here again. My husband and I have visited 2+ times a year for the past 7 years or so. When you book a massage, you also get a few hours to enjoy the spa amenities, which is a huge perk. This includes the outdoor pool and hot tub, indoor warm pool, relaxation room, steam room, showers, and vanity area. The vanity area is stocked with anything you could need. Brushes, toothbrushes, ear swabs, lotion, and showers, have great shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The outdoor pool area is fairly new and the addition of the outdoor bar was a great touch. The therapists are always friendly, professional, and do an excellent job. The relaxation room includes light snacks, flavored water, and tea, which makes the experience feel even more relaxing and luxurious. Overall, we've consistently had stellar experiences. My one complaint is that the administrative staff can be very rigid and inflexible. We've experienced this twice over the years: 1. I woke up extremely sick with an upper respiratory infection and laryngitis and could barely speak. I called as soon as they opened and was told I would still be charged the full cost of the treatment if I didn't come in. Later they offer to cancel for a $50 fee, I was disappointed that they were not able to waive the fee given how sick I was. 2. During one visit, there was significant construction noise while they were building the pool area. It's all I could hear during my massage that was probably the worst experience I've had there. They didn't give me a heads up to the construction, I almost didn't go back after. One pro tip: don't book the 4 p.m. treatment slot. The spa closes at 5, and amenities start shutting down right at closing, even if you're just finishing your massage. Since they typically bring you to the relaxation room afterward, you won't get the full post-treatment experience with a later appointment. They shut off the fireplace, and steam room, and give you a time limit to exit. It all makes sense, because they have to close at some point, but it's helpful to know if you're looking for that post massage experience.

Unfortunately, several things throughout the experience left us disappointed, especially considering the price. The pool menu lists several wines, but we were told that the only options actually available were Sauvignon Blanc and Prosecco. My mom specifically wanted the Pinot Noir listed on the menu, so it was disappointing to find out that it wasn't available. We ended up ordering two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. The menu clearly lists it at $14 per glass, but we were charged $18 per glass ($36 total). I'm not sure if the menu was outdated or if there was an additional charge that wasn't explained, but the discrepancy was confusing. After having our drinks, we went to sit in a couple of lounge chairs that did not have reserved signs on them. Leo, the bartender, came over and told us that the chairs were reserved because they were in front of a cabana. We were happy to move, but it was frustrating to be told this after the fact when there was nothing indicating that the chairs were reserved. The pool area was also fairly quiet, so the interaction left us feeling unnecessarily unwelcome. None of these things individually would have been a huge deal, but together they made the experience feel less polished and relaxing than we expected from a spa at this price point. The property itself is lovely, but for over $400 for two massages, I expected more attention to detail, accurate menu pricing, and a more welcoming experience. Unfortunately, there were just too many small disappointments for this to feel like the elevated spa experience we were expecting.

All that said, there were a few service touchpoints that felt out of step with a Michelin three-star and #1 La Liste experience. My husband and I were hosting local friends to celebrate a major milestone of theirs. I had pre-ordered and pre-authorized Champagne to be ready on the terrace upon arrival. Instead, we were led to our seats, handed beverage menus, and asked for our order -- I shouldn't have had to remind the restaurant of an arrangement I'd made in advance. Worse, after we'd already taken our first sips, a server tried to top off my glass from another table's bottle of Champagne. These things happen, but it reads as sloppy and unprepared for an establishment of this level. Once we moved into the dining room, things were looking up -- until the wine glasses arrived. Two of the four had to be sent back for a soapy smell. That's simply not acceptable at a three-star establishment. It's a shame these lapses colored the experience this way because at this price point and with these accolades, I expected more. Instead I'm left thinking back to the Charlie Trotter's two stars and wondering what kind of curve Michelin might be using.

After 10-15 minutes passed, everyone finished their food, so we asked if my main is coming anytime soon and the server said again that we ordered one cod to split. We explained again that we each ordered an individual main. She asked if we wanted to order it then and said it would take about 15 minutes, but it had been too late and I did not want to eat my main alone, 30 mins after everyone had finished their food. I was the only person in the table without their food, and I received no apology whatsoever in either moments - when all the mains arrived and the mistake was caught, or after asking when my main was coming and realizing I never got my food. I was very excited to come with my family and left very disappointed. The server did not seem to care much, and that was the worst part of "hospitality". For such a gorgeous place with such great food it's a shame this is the level of service I received.
