I enjoy visiting the Madrona for the beautiful views and refreshing cocktails and snacks. The inn has been restored in the last 10 years and has been transformed into a lovely escape from the hustle in town. On a day with good weather, it's a great spot to enjoy the views on the patio with a cocktail in hand and the tasty bites on the menu. My favorites include the deviled eggs and the caviar topped onion dip. The inn also has a wonderful outdoor covered deck which is also a perfect dining experience. The service is always on point and one of my tried and true favorites on the menu is the burger which is served with beef fat fries which are amazing on their own pairs with a crisp glass of bubbly. If you're feeling like being adventurous and would like a break from your standard drink order, I am also a fan signature cocktails.; one of favorites include La sirena which it's refreshing and hits the spot when you want a break from the wonderful wine options from the county.

Came for late lunch and a drink. It was towards the end of service and they accommodated me without question. Ordered the duck confit and martini. The duck was perfection, tender and perfectly flavored. The lentils and micro greens ate a delightful pairing. Vodka martini with olives. Glass was perfectly chilled and over all lovely.

We hadn't really heard of this restaurant, but we were staying at the hotel and knew we'd be arriving in the later part of dinner time, after driving 7 hours, and it made sense to not have to go off the property for dinner. Well, we are so glad we made that decision. The meal was wonderful! The restaurant itself is lovely and we sat out on the big covered patio which was gorgeous. Charles, the maitre'd (and all around everything at the inn) was wonderful, as was Madison, our server. My husband started with the "Magroni" their twist on the Negroni, and he loved it! Had it again before going out the next night, and is looking to recreate it. I had a glass of delicious champagne. We started with the Madrona Salad, which was excellent. Apparently they grow a lot of their own produce and you could tell...it was so fresh! We also had the ahi crudo, which came with an amazing plum & shiso tamari dressing. I could have drank that as a cocktail! I had the dry aged Liberty duck and it was perfect. I love duck, and this presentation was absolutely delicious. My husband couldn't have been happier with his Wagyu NY strip. It was so tender and perfectly cooked to his liking. It was our anniversary eve, and there was a card on the table for us along with some wildflowers that Charles had picked for us. Can't say enough about how wonderful the Madrona is...a star of Healdsburg. Will definitely return.

We've been back to the Madrona a few times for dinner outside on their terrace, and we've loved it every time! The interior decor is whimsical and elegant - you need to see it for yourself (think Alice In Wonderland but make it chic) - and the outside setting is serene and green. The food is beautifully presented, and much of the produce comes from their on-site gardens. Highly recommend a walk through the gardens if you have time and daylight on your side. What we ordered: -Kakiage Tempura - a crispy tempura fritter of thinly sliced vegetables (this is salty, as expected, and I loved it) -Little Gem Salad - light and fresh, balancing the fritter! -Wild King Salmon - clean and light, just what I wanted -NY strip - my partner loved this and the duck fat hashbrown accompaniment (wish I got to try a bite!) He tried a cocktail and I enjoyed the local CEP Sauvignon Blanc. Service was friendly and extremely attentive, replacing silverware each course, replenishing water, offering second drinks...while also letting us enjoy a romantic dinner. Cheers to The Madrona! Look forward to another dinner with you again soon.

The Madrona is a special place. The stately historic home and grounds are absolutely stunning. A Mother's Day brunch last Sunday was a perfect setting to enjoy the kick off to our day. The remodel on the inside is artistically done whimsical. I love sitting on the outside patio - it reflects an era gone by. Columns, a large stairway to the manicured lawn/ property. The onion dip and chips with roe - let's just say I could eat this without sharing with the table. There's an option to upgrade to a caviar selection, we choose not to do that. Still out of this world. Eggs Benedict (I ordered my eggs scrambled) and hamburger with fries on point. Lots of options for cocktails and wine. I had the first bloom (actually 2 lol) it was that good. It's hibiscus forward with tequila- pink sugar rim and a large ice cube. If you like fruity- I'd suggest this. It appeared there was only one bartender, so the drinks took time, but not so long it spoiled the experience. To wrap up the brunch they gave mom's a single white rose. What a touch of class. My daughter who's a dog mom also got a rose. So sweet. This place is a must try.

We went here for my birthday dinner. It is a really beautiful place and the staff were very kind! Everything we had was delicious but for the prices, I'm not sure I would return.

100/10 experience at the Madrona Restaurant! We were celebrating our anniversary and then it turned in to a beautiful proposal. The food was amazing, thank you so much to chef Phi and team! We started off eating outside on the warm patio and they also offered us blankets which was so kind. We then finished with delicious dessert inside by the fire and I was proposed to and it felt so special! Truly one of the most special nights and meals of my life. Thank you so much to the Madrona team for making my proposal a wonderful night to remember. We will forever be spending all of our anniversaries with you all going forward

Arriving at The Madrona...I felt like Annie from Bridesmaids...arriving at Helen's country club. All that was missing was someone handing me a pink lemonade as I drove through the gates and through the tree-lined driveway. Oh yea, and not having a meltdown with the big cookie because ending up in cuffs (not by choice) is never a good thing. The Madrona is a historic mansion turned luxe boutique hotel that reopened in April 2022 following a $6 million renovation. And, WOW...this estate that spans over 8 acres is gorgeous and oozes old money. We kinda felt out of place BUT everyone from the valet, servers, and manager were very welcoming. The hotel's restaurant held a Michelin star for 13 consecutive years before they closed for renovations. They're open for weekday lunch, dinner daily, and weekend brunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Patio is dog-friendly! Rezzies are highly recommended on the weekends (via Resy). M E N U New American with a touch of Japanese flair; i.e. Edamame spread and okonomiyaki. Ingredients sourced from their own garden. AWESOME cocktail program. I know things like this happen, but I had on/off tooth pain for nearly 2 months from this (bruised tooth ligament). * The Madrona Burger w/ toasted bun, roasted onions, white cheddar cheese, spicy ketchup, beef fat fries ($28): https://tinyurl.com/5n743pn9 --Requested medium rare; on the rarer side but no complaints: https://tinyurl.com/4rw248zx In-N-Out is my jam but when I'm looking for a bougie burger....I want a thiccc AND juicy patty....and The Madrona brought it! Top 3 bougie burger I've tasted - you can taste the patty in all its beefy glory with a nice sweetness from the roasted onions and mildly salty sharpness from the melty cheese. The toasty bun held everything together despite the drippings. Alongside the burger was a mound of hot and crunchy, golden brown fries with an extra richness from the beef fat. To nitpick, the spicy ketchup was not spicy. * Grilled Flat Iron Steak w/ horseradish compound butter, beef fat fries ($28): https://tinyurl.com/3yvxrr39 --Requested medium rare Not my order but I did try a piece. The indoor dining area is like dining in OG baller's living room while the Palm Terrace overlooks the lush emerald green garden. The porch is the perfect place to grab a post-dinner drank and to watch the sun set. P A R K I N G Free parking. Overall, Restaurant at The Madrona was our fav meal in Healdsburg with top-notch drinks, food, vibes, and service. Unfortunately, I can't give 5 stars because of the oyster mishap. I highly recommend hitting up Restaurant at The Madrona when in Healdsburg!

Exceeded all expectations! Made a 6:30pm reservation on a Friday and were immediately welcomed and seated by Charles. Charles was friendly and very attentive throughout our evening! Our server, Barbie, was also kind and accommodating. We prefaced by saying we wanted to take our time, and Barbie was always available, but let us call her over whenever we were ready to put the next order in. It was lovely not being rushed, and the servers cleared the table and gave us fresh utensils after each course. Talk about fine dining! Their wine selection features local Napa and Sonoma Valley wines, along with a great selection of house specialty cocktails. My partner ordered their mezcal cocktail and I had a glass of their 2021 Sancerre followed by a glass of their Williams Selyem Pinot Noir. The Sancerre paired wonderfully with the Dayboat Scallop Crudo and grilled cod, while the Pinot Noir was a fabulous accompaniment to the burger and beef-fat fries! **While I am mentioning the fries, let me pause and emphasize just how incredible they were... I am definitely returning, if only for a side of those incredible fries!** Overall, we had an incredible experience! I would happily recommend the Restaurant at the Madrona to anyone looking for a unique and upscale dining experience.

What a place to be! the girls and I took a trip and discovered this quant place in the middle of the vineyards. The food and aesthetic was out of this world. Every room we walked into was a place you could enjoy and take photos. We sat on the patio and had drinks and lunch and everything was superb. We ordered just about every food and drink they had on the menu and not a single thing was bad. The service was impeccable and they wrote us little thank you cards just for being there! It made our trip and the girls were so impressed with everything.

Beautifully renovated, wonderful restaurant and hotel. We didn't stay in the hotel but came for a delightful and wonderful brunch. It was a rainy September day, our first in many months in this drought and their terrace was inviting, bright and warm. The sounds of the rain were refreshing and exciting also. Started with sparkling wine and cocktails. My friends had the Madrona Benedict with a green onion biscuit which they were quite happy with. A bit surprising there was only the Benedict but no sides to it like potatoes or anything. My guy had the brown rice bowl which was ok. The rice was seasoned nicely with lemon, salt and more but the dish needed more to it to tie it together, like a sauce, dressing and some great legumes to raise the nutrition for plant based folks. Hopefully it will improve as he was still hungry and he's not a big guy. I had the Salmon Gravlax pizza which was totally great with a nice drizzle of a cream cheese sauce. The crust was my kind of thin and lightly crispy. Dessert was the chocolate mousse with meringue. Not our fave but it kept growing on us especially with the well prepared cappuccino! Our server, Madison, was attentive, fun and helpful with the menu. She added good sparkle to our experience. I hope to go back for dinner one day and highly recommend it as a romantic or a classy meal. The hotel has been decorated with contemporary art pieces that are captivating. The fireplace sitting areas and inside dining are cozy, well lit and fun to explore. I love the chairs and sofas too! Wonderful colors with a combo of low and higher comfy beautiful seating which invites conversation. And if you're into gardens, make sure you see their vegetable garden! Only Tesla chargers are available. Went to charge my Prius but alas. Maybe next time? :)

Hard to believe, but three stars feels generous for our experience at the Madrona. The Madrona has been painstakingly remodeled by local design legend Jay Jeffords, and is stately and splendid after an exciting transformation. Unfortunately, food and service were disappointing. It's hard to know where to start. Our dinner was a let down, from food to service, made surprising by the fact that front of of house talent was recruited from a nearby Michelin three star restaurant in support of the relaunch, and the kitchen is overseen by a Michelin star chef. Food over seasoning was a memorable issue during a recent visit. We were greeted and ushered into an empty dining room.We were set up in a high traffic area, and sat waiting without a server checking in for twenty minutes. The dining area is large and includes beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, and while there were servers everywhere, running past, no one stopped to ask how we were or to offer to take a cocktail order. We eventually flagged a busboy and asked for our server. Our food arrived tableside without explanation, brought by busboys, often without silverware or plates and sometimes leaving us to flag down others to get a plate or a fork. Information about the food came only when we asked. This was despite $46 entree pricing, that tends to raise expectations for a solid service experience. The parker roll with chicken schmaltz was quite good, but the salmon crudo incorporating cult-classic Cupie Mayo, lacked acid & flavor. Entrees were a weak link with my duck breast being nicely rare, but cold and the skin rendered gummy, not crisp. Parts of the dish were inedibly salty, as was my friend's over seasoned chicken paillard. With only five entree choices on the menu, choices are limited & we noticed most were ordering their burger and fries. While I love a good burger, this is typically not a great sign for the menu (or kitchen.) We tried to focus on the good company and beautiful setting, but it was a disappointment. Especially after a great dinner at the Matheson the night before. I hope things improve. We would return for drinks at their front bar, Patty's Bar, as the cocktail program was strong and we loved the setting. I hope things improve as they get up to speed, but may not come back right away for a meal, except perhaps a burger.

I absolutely loooove the Madrona. We've stayed a night above the restaurant and it was an amazing experience. Every time I come, I am thrilled and excited to be there. We've done the movie night during summer and that was super fun! I highly recommend it. Out on the lawn after a lovely three-course dinner with complimentary popcorn, candy, and wine. My girlfriends and I also have enjoyed our time here. Everything they serve though is delicious! The dish that called to me as it reminded me of my childhood was this incredible rice porridge with ginger. Did you know you can walk around and check out their garden? Also, the bar is beautiful and you get a wonderful view from any spot in the restaurant. This is one of the most unique experiences, eating the most delectable meal in a historic home atop a green hill. Plus the restaurant is an art gallery. Lots of those pieces are for sale. Easily one of my top 3 in West County.

The man can truly cook. We've tried a variety of his dishes, and each one shows such intention, from the flavor profiles to the textures; and everything is always beautifully presented. It never misses. His congee is absolutely to die for, and those thinly sliced pork pieces with crisped skin and tender, juicy meat are a standout every single time. Check out that pic of burger he made for us for burger week! You can really taste the quality, especially knowing he uses fresh vegetables straight from the garden on the property. That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym. The pool area is stunning, and we loved riding the bikes they provide to explore the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Everywhere you go, there's curated art to enjoy, which adds such a unique and elevated touch. They also host special events throughout the year. We especially love their summer movie nights, lounging on the lawn with fresh popcorn, wine, and Red Vines is such a vibe. All in all, our experience started with the restaurant and kept us coming back for more. It's made even more special by the team, who consistently make us feel so welcomed every time we visit. Thank you for always spoiling us, Chef. We are so grateful for you. Your talent and skill truly shine, and The Madrona is lucky to have you. See you again soon!

From the very beginning of the meal, there was a clear sense of precision, elegance, and intention. The opening presentation was stunning, filled with an assortment of beautifully composed small bites featuring oyster, mushroom, sea bream, and a variety of other seasonal ingredients. Each bite felt delicate yet purposeful, showcasing both technical refinement and remarkable balance. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening was the bluefin tuna moriawase paired with strawberries. Normally, fruit in savory dishes tends to feel distracting or overly sweet to me, but the execution here was exceptional. The chefs managed to create a harmony between sweetness, tartness, acidity, and umami that elevated the tuna rather than overshadowing it. It was a dish that felt thoughtful, restrained, and incredibly well composed. The consistency throughout the progression of the menu was equally impressive. Course after course arrived with meticulous presentation and a strong sense of identity. Every dish felt polished and intentional, balancing visual artistry with flavors that were equally compelling. There was never a moment where the meal lost momentum, and the pacing allowed each course to feel distinct while still contributing to a cohesive experience. That said, there was one course that completely missed the mark for our group. The milk and honey dessert, which resembled a sponge cake topped with a whipped goat cheese foam, was overwhelmingly pungent and difficult to approach as a dessert course. The intensity of the goat cheese dominated every other component, to the point where it felt less like a composed dessert and more like being punched by a goat farm. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we were not alone in our reaction. Interestingly, when we mentioned that this was the only dish we did not enjoy, we were told, "if at least 1 out of 10 guests enjoy it, we consider it a win." It was certainly an unexpected response, especially given how polished and thoughtful the rest of the experience had been. Even with that misstep, the overall meal was exceptional. SingleThread succeeds in delivering a dining experience that feels elegant, immersive, and deeply personal. Between the artistry of the presentations, the balance of flavors, and the technical execution across the menu, it remains one of the most impressive three Michelin star experiences in California.

I declined and dealt with the lack of pods, elsewhere. I guess my biggest issue was her rude attitude. Sheesh like she was buying the pods for us. There was a lack of toilet paper, facial tissues, wash cloths and hand towels. Made me wonder if the hotel was struggling financially and have to cut back on simple amenities that makes a difference to travelers like us. The location is great and very walkable. There are plant to little spaces spewed throughout to sit and enjoy. The pool looked nice. The bartender, Javier, was a gem and the music in the lobby was very good. We had the olives and nuts. We did not enjoy either yet we were charged $22 plus tip for those. The French fries were good. Make sure to ask for crispy if you don't like flimsy fries. We did not use our breakfast voucher which was a weird setup. They make you ask for the full menu and then order. Cutoff is 10am, which is early. Maybe tomorrow. We still have one more night here so will update more tomorrow.

The breakfast service and food was incredible and we loved having our coffee delivered earlier (and then more coffee at breakfast time). The wine happy hour with lots of wine options and our own veggie and dips platter was delicious and fun too. We met other great guests and loved our stay. We'd also walk to downtown for meals and exploring which was a great walk and most of the exercise I got on this vacation... While we were there and planning our next trip back, we heard that they're unfortunately closing for 6+ months in 2025 since they have new owners. I really hope the same charm and all the special detail comes back to this spot when they re-open (and hope they're not closed for long!)!

We stayed in the Alexander Valley Suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It has a large tub in the room that comfortably fits two and overlooks the romantic fireplace. It also has a comfortable king sized bed. Definitely a perfect room for a special occasion. A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. The River Belle Inn goes above and beyond to create an experience you will remember and talk about for awhile. Looking forward to our next visit to River Belle Inn.

Our suites were next-door to each other so we were able to share happy hours and breakfasts together. The units are perfectly designed, decorated and located near restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything was spotless and well equipped. The communication process was excellent and the staff was friendly. We are already planning another trip to 235!

From the moment I booked the place, everything has been so wonderfully smooth. Stuart and Holly who manage the place were ultra accommodating and helpful. They thoughtfully greeted us in the private parking lot when we pulled up. For our small group, I went with the 3 BR/3 BA suite. Allowing our baby his own crib in his own room was really nice. This allowed the rest of our party to chill out and relax in the living room and kitchen areas when the little guy needed to get some ZZZZZs. The suite itself is absolutely amazing. There is a really modern feel to the space. Little cool touches are everywhere. A perfect example is how each room in the suite can fully individualize the temp with its own Nest thermostat. For your viewing pleasure, there is a Blu-ray equipped, giant flat-screen TV in the comfy living room. Each bedroom also has its own flat-screen TV that magically appears from the foot of your bed with the push of a remote..so cool. The full kitchen and dining area are well-appointed with high-end gas range/oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, full-size fridge and Keurig coffee maker. There is even a full-size washer and dryer to add further convenience. Linens and toiletries are all top-notch. We really enjoyed the large soaking tub with the adjacent gigantic dual-shower room (yes, the shower is like a 5' x 8' space). Probably the best thing about Two Thirty-Five is location, location, location. This place is situated right in the heart of downtown Healdsburg. Spots like Partake, Cafe Lucia and La Crema are literally footsteps away in the same complex. A whole host of other wonderful spots are within a 5 min walk. Since checking in a few days ago, we have had the chance to really get a taste of the downtown area. Among the walking-distance must tries we've discovered: -Bravas Bar de Tapas -Shed -Moustache Baked Goods (crazy good cupcakes) -Flying Goat Coffee -Downtown Bakery & Creamery -Cafe Lucia -Wurst (awesome hot dogs/burgers) -Williamson Wines (free tasting paired with nice cheese bites) -Chalkboard -Partake -La Crema WInes -Cartograph Wines With a couple more days to go, we can't wait to sample even more of the local flavor. All in all, Healdsburg is an amazing place to eat, drink and just relax with good company. Two Thirty-Five effortlessly facilitates all of this. We definitely will plan to stay here again (& again)!
