We have been members since 1999. We have stayed at Windsor three times. The resort and the rooms are fine. We have a problem with the pressure to attend an owners meeting the next day while we are checking in. It has gotten worse over the years. I just want to check in and get my vacation started. We booked this place using a timeshare exchange (RCI). This place is wonderful! The front desk staff is excellent and helpful. The location is a great starting point for exploring the Wine Country. There are 150 wineries in the area. The front desk has excellent maps of the local area and discount coupons. It's an easy drive off of Highway 101 and located next to a major golf course, Worldmark is driving distance (10 minutes or less) from Walmart, Safeway, Raleys, Wells Fargo, Citibank, Bank of America, Post Office, Applebees, Home Depot, Mary's Pizza Shack, Johnny Garlics, Funky Monkey, downtown Windsor, downtown Santa Rosa, shopping centers and several fast food chain restaurants. The room was fantastic!! We had a 2 bedroom condo that included a king size bed, 2 twin beds, pull-out murphy bed, 2 TVs, 2 DVD players, stereo, living room, fireplace, several closets, dining room with seating for 6, washer, dryer, 2 bathrooms, hair dryer, full kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, plates, cups, utensils, common spices, etc.), deck, patio table with 4 chairs. The room was very spacious for Northern California. 4-6 people can stay comfortably in the room. If the weather is nice, you can host a dinner party for 6-10 people using indoor/outdoor seating. The resort had swimming pools, jacuzzi, recreation room (pool, ping pong, fireplace, big screen tv, video games room), outdoor sports court, fitness center, spa, business center (free high speed internet on 3 terminals) and movie rentals for $3. If you bring your computer, the charge is $15 for 7-10 days of high speed internet service. Since it's a timeshare, they do not provide daily maid service. You can get fresh linens, trash bags, kitchen items, toiletries, etc. daily from their Linen Service. You need a car to get around, since public transportation service is limited. read more

My folks are members of Worldmark, so now and again, me and my husband stay with them. We've ended up in the 3-bedroom penthouse options most of the time, and the set up is really nice. A big living room, and generous sized bathrooms. I think the last time we were there, my folks had some issues with a shower, but people came up pretty quickly to remedy the issue. It's great to have a home base that feels like home. The beds and linens are okay, nothing special. read more

I just love visiting Windsor and get recharged... Their location is not too far from where I live and it's all about great service... One time we stayed, their kitchen roof leaked and to make up for it they moved us and made us stay for another night for free. Their staff is soo nice and accommodating. loved this resort. Been owners for a few years and decided to stay here for the holidays. the staff was so helpful and accomedating, we ended up getting sick half way through our visit and were not able to leave our room for most of our trip. they even brought us towels and clean linens since we didnt want anyone else to get sick. but before we got sick we were able to enjoy most of the ammenities. we also requested a play pen and high chair for our little one, which was all set up when we arrived! hopefully on our next trip we wont get sick so we can enjoy the town around us! It is close to trader joes, whole foods, charlie brown muesem, walmart is 5 min down the road which is great for last min grocery runs! loved how the resort is kind off the main road and surrounded by little farms, made it very relaxing! kids loved looking at the animals! read more

I love it here. i just recently came to worldmark windsor for the second year in a row. The staff here are so well trained and know the area very well. they are really nice. This place is close enough to the big cities yet far enough away to really feel like a vacation. I thought it was great i could go down the the on site golf course and rent some clubs for free. My one and only complaint about this place would be the pools should be open for adults later but thats all. read more

Friends invited us to their time share, they stayed the week and we were there four days with another couple. We had a 3 bedroom, all the rooms were large and clean. Full kitchen balcony BBQ,.Windsor golf course next door and the course was next to the property, great menu w extensive wine list! Property also had a nice workout room but it was on the small side. Having toured the wineries in healdsburg a couple years ago I knew the resort was centrally located. Spent 2 days touring the vineyards, one with a driver and the other on our own. All in all it was a great trip, nice place to stay! read more

I've stayed at Worldmark Wyndham before, always had a great time as a guest of an owner, but this is the "FIRST TIME THAT THEY TRIED TO HARD SELL ME!!!" We checked in Sunday June 28th and was charged a $20 and told that when we went to the seminar on time share buying we would get our money refunded and would be given a $75 gift card. First hour was good, getting info and shown what was available to us, hour two was more info on what we could save, hour 3, 2 closers and I was trying to leave. Hour four told them wasn't interested into getting more debt and thanked them finally was able to leave. OMG never been through that before. I'll just stay at the Motel 6 next time read more

I won a stay here at a fund raiser auction. Thank you to the donor. The place was amazing. It was a two bedroom apartment and came equipped with everything you need to make it a home away from home. The location is perfect since it's less than 10 miles from downtown Healdsburg and all the wine tasting rooms and fabulous restaurants. My weekend was shot because of the pushy pitchwoman named Betty. She was a complete a$%#^hole. I did not want to attend the informational presentation but the front office insisted there would be no selling but just information. NOT! The presenter even said at the beginning that there would be no pressure selling. We wasted almost 2 hours trying to tell three salesman that I was not interested in buying more credits and that I was trying to sell my credits. Finally, we walked out. I have been an owner for 18 years and things have changed for the worst. I can honestly say this is not a good timeshare to own. It is hard to get rooms because they are renting a lot of them out to non-owners. If you do get a room, you get charged 90+ dollars for cleaning. I'd rather rent a condo from Air BnB than own this piece of crap.... read more

Never go to this place, DISHONEST!!!!! I will never return to this resort. They are dishonest and unprofessional. Basically they only give robes for their penthouses (despite everyone being owners). We called to complain so we could use the robes to go to the hot tub as it was 40 degrees out. They begrudgingly agreed and we and our guest used them that night. The next day we specifically looked for the robes prior to check out and they say they are not there and want to charge 60 dollars each. I recently stayed at the worldmark resort for the first time. I'd like to start by saying I enjoyed my stay. Not far from the central hub of Windsor which is nice. The room was lovely, nice view of the golf course to greet me every morning. The pool was a nice amenity to use during the days. The front desk staff were very helpful I wish I could remember their names to give them credit. The icing on top of the cake was area that the resort is situated in. Discounts valid at local businesses, yes please! I personally used the discounts at Pizza Guys (the staff recommended them). Check out was simple and hassle-free. We have been Worldmark owners for many years. Usually our stay here has been pleasant. Unfortunately our most recent stay, we attended an owners education meeting with the Windsor Worldmark sales office. We were assigned to a woman named Stacy. We have never encountered a more miserable experience. The woman was very condescending, rude, unprofessional and unpleasant. We left the meeting with few questions answered due to the tenseness and uncomfortable feeling. We figured it would be more informative to go online and look it up ourselves. This definitely put a damper on our stay at this resort. We just wanted to share this so other people would not be subjected to this abusive behavior when the sales office tries to persuade owners and prospective owners to attend. read more

I would like people to know what they're getting into when they become owners at WorldMark Windsor. Let me provide you with some positives and then I'll share the reasons for the "one-star" rating. My wife and I have been timeshare owners for over twenty years, and we love the Wine Country. We are Diamond-level owners, and invite friends to stay with us on our excursions. The last time we bought points at Worldmark was here at Windsor, and we dealt with an honest, no-pressure salesperson named Aaron. Even though he had a no-pressure approach we bought more points from him. The Windsor facilities are fine. We've noticed that there appears to be some wear-and-tear in the units, but the suites are okay (although the icemaker in the refrigerator did not work). The check-in woman was terrific, and then we went to pick up our parking pass. Here's where the fun begins. We had heard (on a previous visit) that WorldMark had so many complaints about pushing their ownership sales pitch that they discontinued that approach. Well, they were right back at it again. We spoke with Marc (or should I say we had a 20-minute speech by Marc) about why we needed to attend the sales presentation. First, he stated that he was paid minimum wage. Second, he said that he did not receive any credit for the presentation unless we showed up. If it wasn't for the six ticket food-and-wine pairing incentive at the Williamson tasting room (which we and our guests really enjoyed) I would have been REALLY pissed! Marc's attitude was juvenile. I understand that people like Marc have to make a living and that salespeople at the ownership presentation need their jobs as well. By the way, we had an excellent salesperson named Hans that we interacted with at the presentation, and he was respectful and professional. But unless you want to deal with these sales tactics EVERYTIME you check in I would discourage you from buying a timeshare with WorldMark. What WorldMark doesn't understand is that word-of-mouth is the best sales pitch, and I would not recommend WorldMark to anyone. The thought of dealing with a sales pitch (as a Diamond-owner) every time we go there is infuriating! I would highly recommend Marriott, where we own as well. Listen, WorldMark Executives--For those who want to hear the sales pitch incentivize them with great gifts and courteous sales people. You can catch more bees with honey (rather than flies with $&*!). read more

Love this Worldmark property. However...after the purpose of the "welcome" package revealed itself, I warn you now that the "free omelette breakfast 60 minute owner update" that one has to put a deposit on for fear they have ordered too much food, is not in fact free after all. No friends, heed my warning, they trapped us. Oh also, they lure you in with a $75 gift card which should have clued me in. And by the way, I asked about the gift card. They answered. "Because we appreciate you!" Grrrrrr. Once we put all the pieces of the puzzle together, it was too late. I was not losing my deposit and I wanted that 75 bucks! The first hour could be considered owner update, but damn where do they find these sleazy high pressure sales people? The last 60 minutes consisted of trying to trick me into checking my credit, 3 different "deals", and a constant barrage of "Why? Why wouldn't you put yourself into debt for this stellar deal. I mean I really cry when I make people's dreams come true. I mean, I actually get thank yous". And by the way, after 120 minutes of this - if I didn't sign the check my credit paper that wasn't "really" checking my credit even though the paper clearly said it was, I don't get the $75. It was gross. So all in all, not the best start to our much looked forward to vacation. I started with the bad because that's how we had to start our stay. It colored my view for awhile, but I decided to let it go. (Let it go, let it goooo- think Frozen) Now for the good. The property is as beautiful as any of their others. It's a great home base to explore the beach or do a little wine tasting. Staff is always ready to help and guide. We splurged on the penthouse and we were not sorry. Except for the stinky fridge. Did a body get stuffed in there? The kitchen is big and beautiful with any appliance you might need at your finger tips. It felt pretty luxurious to me! I would visit again, and will. Do you think I will ever attend another "owner update" as long as I live? Ya, no. read more

I've often stayed at Worldmark by Wyndham in Windsor, CA. We typically book the units for family reunions where our family members come from all over the United States and the territories. The units are very nice and the resort is well-placed for visits to wine country. The staff is friendly and very responsive. Anyone who books a resort in California should expect to drive to where they want to go. Unless you're in a complex in downtown Las Vegas, Seattle or San Francisco, you need a car to get around. The little town of Windsor has some nice restaurants and shops, and a shopping complex is less than a mile away. There's a Walmart across the freeway along with numerous gas stations in the area. Everything you would want to find is well within a short driving distance. San Francisco is an hour away and that is definitely a City to visit often. I often drive down to Fisherman's Wharf, park my vehicle for the day, then walk to Chinatown and other areas. A double decker tour bus is readily available for a City shopping tour. Worldmark at Windsor has always been a great place to stay and has never disappointed us on any of our trips. read more

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and loved it! Our room was very nice and updated. We also went golfing right next door and received free rentals for being WorldMark guests. The time share is really nice and close to everything. They also have a spa there which is rare for a timeshare to have. I can't wait to go back. read more

So i honestly think this deserves a 5 star for so many reasons. First off it was my birthday weekend and as soon as i walked in this place i was full of joy and the staff was so friendly. When i told them it was my birthday, they gave me a birthday gift. We got 2 free movies from the movie rack to take with us to our room. Second THE ROOM! It was spectacular. I felt like i was at home and i could stay for years at a time. The beds were nice, the t.v. was awesome, they had cable and wifi, a stove, a microwave, a full size refrigerator, a sink, and an outside porch with a BBQ. I honestly felt like i was home. The game room was to die for they had pool and arcade games. When i felt like i wanted to take a night on the town, the staff were able to route me to every casino, entertainment, wineries, and movie theaters. I believe there are 2 or 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful place full of care and love. Wine is not too far as well from this place at all. Just ask the concierge and he will run you through the entire hundreds of wineries. read more

We have been coming to 'This Resort' since the year~2000; They have gotten Better & Better, year after year. Always a 'Friendly' group working here, happy to see You, time & time-again. Their 'heating-systems' are upgraded & showers are a 10+. Pools & Jacuzzis are almost always clean, warm & hot. Checked in with 'KELLY', in middle of the night; Happy to see us, & cheerfully asked "How's Ur Brother" ? This is a great time share and even when we had a couple of issues they were very responsive.....until in the middle of a rain storm we ran out of toilet paper. When we called they told us we had to come and get at another building. They directed us to the place where we could get the TP. It turned out to be the sales office for the time share. When I explained to issue to a sales person he called the front desk and got an assurance they would deliver the TP. Never arrived had to go get it in the rain. Make sure you bring own! read more

We just arrived here, today. I'll be updating my review. Five stars goes to the service. These folks at this resort are going ALL OUT for excellent customer service. Everyone was really friendly. We received maps, based on what we'd like to do. They're doing some construction, but we are away from all that. At first, I was worried when we were told that the "bridges" (for internet service, that costs about $5.00 per day) are already installed. Hubs and I each bring our laptops. No problem. An extra re "bridge" was brought to our room, with a smile. It's very quiet here. I'm so glad! We found the Whole Foods and splurged on filet mignon and a few goodies, then grilled at our place. I love the comfort of having a condo, so we can drink beer, eat well, and unwind from the hustle and bustle of work. Already, we've received a call, making sure everything was satisfactory in our room. The property is gorgeous, I will say! The lay-out of the rooms are exactly like Indio and Angel's camp. I kind of like the familiarity of things. Everything I need, to make a meal is at the ready. I'm really glad we invested in our timeshare. We've done the math, and it will really pay off as far as having a home away from home. I can't say enough about the customer service. read more

We have stayed in much better resorts. It's not terrible but its definitely not above three stars. The layout of the room is awkward, the parking is terrible and the walls are thin. There were many nights where we could hear everything outside of the room andir kept us up. Do not waste your money at the restaurant on site. Charlie's is not worth the price tag. There are many other choices for restaurants close by. The town of Windsor is nice and has a few restaurants that are well worth the money. Overall, we had a nice stay, but if you are expecting more than a three star type of hotel you should look somewhere else. read more

Stayed here in mid Feb. while visiting the local wineries. We had a three bedroom unit and really liked it. It was roomy and had all the things needed for a week's stay. The only complaint I can think of is that there is no TV in the second and third bedrooms. Not that you need it as there are a lot of things to do around Windsor, Healdsburg, and Santa Rosa. The chec in was easy and fast and we did not get pressured to listen to a sales pitch. It was cold and rainy for part of the week but it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves and tasting lots of wine. This is a time share so you can't expect all the services of a hotel and it is rather hard getting a reservation through Interval International but if you can get in it is convenient to everything with wineries, restaurants, and movie theaters nearby. The timeshare was easy to find and clean. We were in town for a wedding so it was a happy time until I realized I had left my IPAD with charger in the suite! The first time I called to report the IPAD(4pm) the women at the front desk had decent customer service skills. She took my information down and she understood the item was of high value. That night I called two more times and spoke to two different women. Both women told me that nothing had been turned in. One woman told me there was a process where three different people go through the check list that the maid has when cleaning a room. The other woman only told me that the maid hadn't found anything and when I asked if three people check the list three times she didn't answer me. Instead she told me that an email had gone out stating that the item was missing and hopefully it would be found. At this point I started feeling nervous and began thinking it was gone forever so I asked to speak to the owners in the room whom were now staying in the room. I was told it was too late to send a staff member over to check the drawer where I left the IPAD and that it was too late for them to transfer an outside call to the room. The next morning I called and spoke to another woman at the front desk who was quick to tell me that nothing was found and that the general manager would come in later so I should call back in a few hours. When I spoke to the General Manager he told me he would try to check the room and would call me back within the hour. I felt that the matter was being looked into and not dismissed. He called three hours later telling me that he checked the room personally but did not find anything. When I told him that I was told a few different versions of the process of missing items he told me that he didn't know about that. I told him I felt frustrated because I didn't understand the process so I asked him to explain the process of how rooms are checked for left behind items and he didn't answer my question. He kept insisting that all the maids were honest and always reported anything left behind especially high value items. He told me that he had spoken to the two maids that cleaned the room as well as the maid manager and that nothing was reported except a pair of sandals. I asked him what was the next step in resolving the problem because I was in the process of locking the computer and filing a police report. He told me "great you are doing exactly what you should on your side because we have done everything on our side". He also told me "when you track it and find the location if it's in the building let me know". This was my last encounter with any of the staff. I am writing this review to inform people that there was little cooperation and communication on the part of the staff. I wanted to hear someone say " I'm sorry you're missing your IPAD" or " we are doing everything we can". Basically I wanted to hear that someone there cared but instead all I heard was " an email went out to everyone so if it shows up we will let you know". All the calls were quick meaning you could tell that all staff that I spoke to including the General Manager was in a rush to get off the phone. It has been one of the most negative experiences I have ever had. I'm also writing this review to inform fellow patrons that either someone is lying about taking the item or that in fact the rooms are not checked for left behind items as they stated. Plus how is it that the General Manager couldn't know and explain the process of rooms being checked and the process of left behind items being logged????? read more

We loved this place!! We were there for 3 days, 2 nights. We had a two bed 2 bath unit, since that was the only one available for the time we were going. It was adorable, very clean, and well appointed with EVERYTHING we would need to feel comfortable and right at home. Someone mentioned the TVs were not up to par. They must have changed that, because we had nice flat screens with DVD players to go with it. There was a nice balcony with a grill as well. The staff was excellent as well. Healdsburg is seriously only 15 minutes away, with a bajillion wineries to boot. Calistoga and Napa are hardly far at all. Plus, Windsor is a precious (but small) town that is fun to explore. If I had a tiny complaint, it would be that the beds were hard (but they had comfy pillows) and when people rolled their luggage above us, it was LOUD. It wasn't anything that would hold us back from coming again. In regards to their "sale pitch" breakfast, we actually went to it because we were thinking of upgrading from "the experience package" to actual members. To make a long story short, we felt really impressed with their sales people, because even though their drive is to get new owners, they really respected our decision to ultimately not upgrade due to us trying to buy a new house (1st time homebuyers) and it wouldn't be a wise move to purchase at the moment. We were even talking to the lead sale person and they were extremely undserstanding and weren't pushy. I was impressed by that. I actually regret not staying longer. We were so happy with our stay. read more

We were at the Santa Rosa Fair yesterday and met up with an annoying guy who managed somehow to get my partner to agree to the catered lunch resort pitch in order to receive the free weekend at a Wyndham hotel. The problem is that when we got to the end of the whole thing we were dis-invited because we do not have a credit card. I work in a business that requires a credit card in order to borrow instruments, we always declare that up front. If the customer does not have the right card we try to make arrangements to work around the problem. It is very frustrating to waste so much time talking to these idiots only to find out that we are "not qualified". Don't bother talking to these jerks if you do not have a credit card and if you are this business please train your sales staff better. I could have done so many more things at the fair with the 30 mins. I wasted at the Wyndham Resort booth. read more
