We tried 5 different options on the menu -- first time customers. All the food was generally good and very well prepared. One thing we noticed was the paper wrapping around the wrap itself tends to stick to the wrap. The Argentina Chimichurri, for instance, was very difficult to remove the paper on the wrap itself so you could eat it, and there was a second heavy duty paper around that that was fine. Another thing is, don't offer an extra sauce option on your wraps if it makes the wrap explode and fall apart when you eat, from the first bite, like the Argentina Chimichurri. The extra sauce option made the paper stick to the wrap even worse, because the sauce was literally dripping out of it, all over the second layer of paper. But, all the options we bought were good. We found a new restaurant for when we're craving a good wrap! read more

I had my first and last World Wrapp today. I'll start by saying the chicken wrapp was fresh and flavorful. I got in my car and took the wrap out of the soggy bag and it dripped all over my pants. I opened the wrap and the rice paper was folded into the paper wrapper and the rice paper came with it witch left me with a soggy mess of vegetables and chicken. I placed everything on the passenger floor of my car and went into the office and got a paper plate. The rice paper bonded to the plate and ate the inside of the wrapp with a fork. I think the website should have a video of how to eat their chicken wrapp. I certainly couldn't figure it out. I think you need to eat it like a Philly cheese stake. While standing bend the upper half of your body over your feet and start eating. If you consider yourself a masochist, this wrapp is for you. read more

World Wrapps has great vegetarian options that are so full of flavor and the portions are big enough that we always have enough for leftovers. I have eaten, and liked, World Wraps since it was at the Oakland airport. I remember, years ago, that the Thai chicken wrap was largely chicken, vegetables, and some nuts. There was little or no rice. We tried eating here four weeks ago, and got a Thai wrap and an adobo steak plate, and both dishes were largely rice. To give this place another chance, we ate here two weeks ago, and while the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, the food left much to be desired. We ordered two items, one a wrap with Bulgobi beef (represented to be steak), and one plate,. the Adobo with steak. As for the dishes themselves, they were both 2/3 white rice, 1/6 vegetables (admittedly fresh), and 1/6 grossly overcooked and dry beef, that was closer to beef jerky than steak. Unless you have a craving for rice, it was not anything worth ordering, let alone eating. They did hand out free samples of the brownie deserts which were good. The total cost for eating what was largely rice, and little else was $30, far in excess of the reasonable value of the food, and was a ripoff. We will not be back. read more

It's ironic in my opinion, to have a brand celebrating their product as fresh, healthy food, seemingly a healthy alternative to other bad-for-you fast foods, and not to list nutrition facts and calories. I recall my shock finding out a single Chipotle grilled chicken burrito has 1200 calories per serving, when the recommended calories for an adult female for a day is 2000 or fewer. I think of the lines of fitness minded folks hanging out post-workout and ordering bowls and wraps, expecting they are eating fresh and light meanwhile they were eating two meals for the price (and calories!) of one. As I sat eating today's Thai Chicken Wrap while running errands, I thought of that. Then I practically broke the internet trying to find a calorie count on World Wraps products. World Wrapps started as a humble, bustling store on Chestnut Street and by 1998 you can find NYT articles outlining their meteoric rise. By the late 90s World Wrapps was franchising stores across the country. It seems everyone wanted their fusion burrito.Years later the trend died down, and by early 2000s franchised World Wrapps stores were shuttering across the US. I was glad to find that they had reopened under the original ownership in the Bay Area . After doing some research I found the original owner bought back the business and was relaunching in Corte Madera. More good news is they still had their Thai burrito from back in the 90s. I could not find a single nutrition fact on the World Wrapps website. I found many third party apps had approximate nutrition and calorie information on products from back during their national franchising days, but information can range wildly. Its difficult for the end consumer to gauge accuracy on those facts. The world would be a better place if business that base their business on the health-conscious, like World Wraps, would share nutritional information to build transparency and loyalty. Now that they are in the process of relaunching this former national juggernaut under original ownership, hopefully they can get around to sharing calorie counts and nutritional facts with customers. read more

My husband and I go there every evening for four days when we visit San Francisco just minutes across the Golden Gate Bridge. Our favorite dish is the Argentine Chimichuri Bowl with choice of protein, fresh greens, sauteed vegetables, mushrooms, broccoli, avocado, marinated bean sprouts, and fabulous chimichuri sauce, all over a generous serving of perfectly cooked brown rice. We ordered the Saigon wrap, Tikka Masala wrap, and the Beef Bulgogi wrap and they did not disappoint. Really delicious! The wraps were so fresh and light and filling. I also tried the mint pineapple drink, refreshing and yummy. We sat outside where the weather was nice and our server guy even came out to check up on us and asked us how everything was. :) I promised him I'd leave a YELP review so here I am, lolol. I wish I had gotten his name, he was super nice! The place is located in a really adorable shopping area, really love the ambiance of the area. Not the best World Wrapps i have been too. The store seems tighter than other locations. The food was mediocre compared to the other locations i have visited. I went with the Thai Chicken Bowl and Mexican Griddled Burrito bowl. I get a Thai Chicken Bowl every time i go to World Wraps. This one just didnt hit the spot like previous ones.
