World Market in Lubbock, TX is a nice store with fantastic gifts ranging from imported gourmet foods to stylish decor. I wanted to spend more time here with my daughters because we love all of the sections, but we were able to pick out a pop-up birthday card ($8.99) for their grandmother and a couple of edible items. Their card section was slim back in mid September 2025. The girls were bummed they didn't have some of the ones that they saw on the display signage. The turkey and secret stuffing chips from Ireland ($12.99) were fun with our sandwiches at home. I have since depleted my single batch of World Market pumpkin spice ground coffee ($11.99). They had some of the cutest Halloween and fall items for sale. I can't wait to see what they are offering for rest of the year. I would shop at this chain at least once per month if I lived closer. read more

This location is very large (in comparison to SF),clean, well stocked, organized and has very friendly and attentive staff, at the ready to help if needed. I was searching for a specific appetizer plate that was out of stock in San Francisco, and found it and plenty more fun designs. I will say that I love the concept of "World" Market with mostly snacks and non-perishable food items from all over the world, but being spoiled with ethnic markets of each and every variety, the prices for some things were way high here. If this was my only option to get some of these things, I probably would just pay to get them here. Hit this place up for sales or when the rewards program has incentives and it will be well worth it. read more

If you're ever looking for a last minute (or first minute) eclectic gift, this is the best store around for it. They always have a unique selection of food and snacks from around the world. If you're looking to take your taste buds (there's a pun in that somewhere) on an adventure, you can do it here. There's also quite a huge selection of beer and wine. If it's gifts of the non-edible variety, there's really no end to the selection for that here either. Plenty of unique furniture, rugs, and interior decor. Wall hangings with a stylish flare. Kitchen everything. Gift cards galore. And a small selection of clothing and accessories, though it's never certain with the clothing. One more word I would use to describe the store is colorful. To be honest, though, their prices can be a bit high on most things. Some of the Japanese snacks can be found at other local grocery stores for a bit cheaper and a larger selection can be found at the Asian Market. But there's never a dull moment when I visit here. read more

This certainly isn't like the World Market in Houston and surrounding areas this one lacks customer assist. You walk around the whole small store only to be reminded that no one is around to assist if you questions about a particular item you searched for and can't find. World Market you would also think it will carry speciality beverages like VitaMalt which it carries various other countries foreign drinks but lacks malt. So, you wait and ask one of the cashiers which is also lost on what malt is and where it should be located in the store. Until you wait for the other cashier the guy, he knows it all he even goes through great lengths to search it up on the computer. This is one of the smaller World Market doesn't carry much exotic variety, most items can be found at the oriental market, Walmart, or Specs which takes away from World Market purpose. read more

I will admit that over the years I've shopped less and less at World Market and find it not all that authentic or appealing. However I stopped in during a visit to Lubbock and I had to review this one because I found it to have a better kept store and friendlier employees than most. It is worth saying that they have a pretty good team working here it seems. The chain still ticks me off though with insane prices on Japanese Kit Kats, English candy, teas, and such...try ethnic/natural food shops first for your novelty items, then online sites...you can save a lot of cash, I'd only buy that stuff here as a last resort special gift item. read more

I like World Market, and this one is pretty similar to all the other ones I have visited. They of course carry all this exotic stuff from other countries, knick knacks, food, furniture, so forth. I picked up some interesting wine from South Africa and Spain (Vino Verde, I give it 3 of 5 stars), as well as 2 wine glasses (only $1.99 ea, not bad value). They have all kinds of tea, coffee, candy, beer, food, little gift sized food containers, outdoor stuff, art, posters, furniture, dishes, rugs, decor, etc. If you want to find some specialty foodstuff or whatever cool imports, check here. They carry great snack food like Snappeas, pocky, etc, and you can also find specialty sauces and food that is more common to other countries (some of it completely gross). read more

I could spend hours walking around in here looking around at everything. There's probably thousands of little knick knacks and what's it's galore. I love the new location solely because it's bigger than before! It holds true to its name-there's items from all around the world. You'll find tiny alpaca dolls made in Argentina, Colombian coffee, or maybe Russian nesting dolls from Russia! The employees are always an absolute joy. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here, other than seeing the damage to my bank account afterward. The only true downside to this store is it tends to be a little pricy, but I believe you get what you pay for. read more

World Market has a little bit of everything. Toys, food, clothing, decor, furniture, wine and beer, coffee, tea, seasonal items, you name it! We have never left without finding something different or unexpected. It is def worth browsing around to see what you can find. read more

I love this place. Each time I visit, I am able to find something neat to add to my menagerie. The sales are always really good and the in-store pickup is convenient. I have had issues with orders not being found, but each time they rectify the issue by offering a discount on a floor model or offering to order the items. I have been told I would be contacted when certain items came in stock, but never received a call. Other than some minor irritations which I believe are service oriented and not necessarily reflective of the store, I give this store a 4/5. read more

My daughter purchased some clothing items some time ago but because there's not a dressing room at the location, she tried things on at home and returned the ones that didn't work out. We received a merchandise credit, which we were totally fine with. We've been back a time or 2 and have used the card with no issues but today we went to use the $88 remaining on the card. When we went to pay, the card wouldn't work and a manager was called. He informed me that they can no longer accept that kind of card because they were bought or merged with some other company. He did try the card one more time and IT WORKED! Thankfully. I was preparing my inner "Karen" for a fight. Haha! As frustrating as the situation could have been, I also appreciate the employees efforts and I'm sure they hate having to inform people about this TERRIBLE decision by the new owners to not honor those cards. The employee and manager were very nice. I still lost a bit of money but not $88 worth. Also, this is the only problem I've ever had with the store. Usually have a great experience. The 2 star review for the new owners or whatever. Would have been 1 but added another due to the helpfulness of the employees. read more

This is a cool store with a lot of fun items, my only complaint is that I wish everything was a little more affordable. I'm sure I can find stuff like it at Home Goods for a lot cheaper or get wine and beer at Specks for cheaper. It's still a fun store to look at and window shop. read more

Work market is a lot of fun to browse in because they have such a unique selection of items. I love all of the different cultural foods and alcohol that they have to offer. I've honestly never really been bothered by employees because there never seems to be any out of the floor. It's pretty pricey here but it has nice things. read more

similar to other stores, smaller in scope, staff helpful, had been dashed through by many and inventory low. Marzipan covered in chocolate, had they none. Once a year it is a treat for me to dash in and get a bar, but not this time. Bulldog root beer without the bite they had so that made someone happy. No idea why they would leave the location next to Target on the freeway and Milwaukee for this hard to access location. Like Bed Bath-not sure it is worth the drive there. Maybe service will improve with the move. I'll stick with Pier 1 & Specs. read more

I placed an online order at their website and got an email telling me that the product was at the store for me to come pick it up. I get to the store and they sent a young man back to get what I had ordered and he brings up a box of something that wasn't what I ordered. I explained to him that that wasn't what I ordered and told him what the correct product was and he went back into the back to look for it. Meanwhile I stand there and wait and wait and wait and finally ask a cashier to check what was going on. She called back to the back to talk to the guy and he said that they were looking for the product that their computer showed it was back there. So I wait and wait some more and it's probably been close to a half an hour and this young lady who said she was the manager came over to me and explain that they hadn't been able to find the product but that they are still looking for it. I asked her if I could just have her call me or text me once they found it so I wasn't just standing there waiting and she said she could. So I get home and probably an hour later I get an email saying that my order has been cancelled because they can't find the product. They could have shipped it to their store and then called me to come get it or better yet offered to ship it to my house but that would be good customer service something that is lacking at World Market. I'm not sure I'm going to feel like going back to the store. read more
