This store has quite a bit of items that you may not find elseware. Though some items can be a bit pricey, its fun to find things that you've been pondering about. I will definitely give this store 5 stars. Reason? The employees are honest and sincere. I was ready to purchase my basket of items. I whispered to the cashier to add what my friends are buying to my bill. Long story short, I paid and my friends and I went back to the car. Just a minute or so after, the cashier and her supervisor hollered to me asking me to come back in. They explained that there was a mistake and accidentally overcharged. I was refunded approximately $20. Wow. They apologized sincerely, and I truly thanked them for "coming after me". They felt to double check what was rung up and wanted to correct the error. I am so touched by their decency. To me, this also reflects so brightly on their company. Thank you Woori Mart! You hire great employees to represent your company. read more

Decided to visit Woori Mart out of curiosity. Can't resist going into organizational stores and by the view from the street I was hoping to come across a hidden gem. Not the case! Most of the containers styles you can find say at a Marukai or Don Quiote location at close to a fourth or half off the sticker price. If you are interested in overly expensive blankets or hipster grandmother aprons this may be your mecca. Any positive aspect about this retail location is overshadowed by the horror of their customer service. You would think I was an escaped convict still in prison wear. No sales associates asked if I needed assistance, gave any greeting and they basically stayed in any opposite section of the store at all times. Their facial expressions lingered around being nervous, uncomfortable and seemingly constipated. I don't think it's a far reach to guess that you'd probably have better customer service if you're over 40 or of the same ethnicity. read more

This place SUCKS! I bought a very expensive comforter for $300 and the first time I washed it and followed the directions it came out nubby. Its 100 percent cotton so its not supposed to do that after you wash it. So it was defective and they wouldn't let me exchange it for something else. I even told them I'd be willing to purchase something else if they just let me return the blanket bc its defective but they didn't want my business. Zero stars!!...Let me tell you about this rip off store. I paid over $10 for hooks to hang my towel and broke off the first time I tried. I purchased socks never worn with their retail sticker on...tried to return with receipt 3 days later, they said no refund no store credit...All Sales Final!!...so if you happen to buy wrong size socks throw them away cuz you ain't getting nothing from them...this store is just a ripoff center. What a nifty little shop Woori Mart is: an importer of Korean household products to make your home a little more eye appealing. Ample parking with entrance just past Foodland Beretania. The goods are on the expensive side so I'm not sure if one is actually getting a bargain or not. I would really like to know what kind of prices one would pay if one were to buy these in Korea. But there are some neat little knick-knacks for every part of your home you can conceivably think of. Some of these would make great house warming gifts for sure...I know I wouldn't mind being on the receiving end. I SPIED: FOR THE BEDROOM: A whole wall of blankets and comforters. Very expensive. And very nice. If I could splurge here I would. Someday perhaps. Someday. Cute pillows for kids and adults. FOR THE LIVING ROOM/MAN CAVE/TV ROOM etc: Cushions galore. Looking for a nice cushion for your sofa? Got $50 to spare? I noticed they have things "on sale" so if you see something on sale, it would be a nice time to buy. I did get a nice seat cushion (kind of like a zabuton) that was 50% off for $15.00. They had a nice selection of colors to choose from so I was happy with my purchase. FOR THE BATHROOM/SHOWER: Soap trays, caddys & dispensers, containters/tubs in all shapes and sizes, herbal soaps, shower towels, gizmos to clean or organize your bathroom and all sorts of trinketry. FOR THE KITCHEN: Glass containers with lids in all shapes and sizes, bountiful lunch boxes, thermoses, serving trays, utensils of all sorts, cups, dishes, cooking pots and pans. Small little banchan dishes? It's here. They even stock those aluminum pots you see in K-Dramas where everyone cooks their ramyun in, ha ha. I was enticed by these cute handle bar covers for the refrigerator doors but do I really need spiffy-cute looking little covers for my fridge handle bars? Even on sale for $15 I was hedging but decided not to. I suppose it will keep the handle bars clean & my fridge looking accessorized but that's about it. So I decided to 'test out' my newly acquired seat cushion. To make it extra comfy I made a mistake of stacking it on an existing cushion. Yep, it was too comfy because I dozed off in front the tv & slipped off my chair. There was no traction on the new cushion since there's a poly blend lining inside the cushion that made it slippery. In the midst of trying to brace my fall, the brunt of my fall was absorbed by my nearly 20 year old mini table that was next to my chair. A corner portion of the table split & cracked and left me a nice sized strawberry on my arm. Time to buy a new mini table? Because I spied that at Woori Mart too. read more

I have always wanted to check this store out since I've seen it always passing by on Beretania. So randomly my mom and I decided to come here today, from first walking in i was so overwhelmed and that's in a good way! I love colorful stores with little knick knacks and this one is like that. Everything is from Korea, I guess you could say, woorimart is like a Korean walmart lol! Things are a bit pricey but then again where else can you find things from Korea? I must say, the blankets are Beautiful! Very expensive for some small throws! It's probably worth it though, the material is different, kinda like a japanese summer blanket material if your familiar with that. Some are quilted looking. I mean there are all kinds. I also thought that the yarn they had was cool, my mom and I crochet and seeing that we were like whoaaaaaa that's out of this world! We could crochet little cute things like sponge cleaners for sinks lol (I think that's what it was for). They have some furniture, shelves, small desks for children, chairs, things like that. Also floor mattresses which looked hella comfortable I'd probably sleep on one lol. They have pillows which are also pricey, I pulled a small one out and the price was $60! I didn't leave the store empty handed though. I saw some cute wall paper for the kitchen and bathroom that I picked up, to my surprise it was only $3.99 for one and the designs were cute! The lady ringing us up was very very friendly! Engaged conversation with us and made us feel welcomed to the store. On the other hand the man there was super UN friendly my mom smiled at him and he snobbed her. Great tip- parking stalls are huge and really convenient, the bathroom is clean as well, I might be back later to get more wallpaper! read more

Love the location, love the variety of products.. But. I bought a little pillow there several years ago, was about $20.00... Came back to get more hoping would be similar priced.. But ended paying $40.00... After searching internet, same pillow sells for $25. 00....prices are too high.. Please consider sales orders getting more competitive with real prices. I really love shopping here. So many great things- I especially love the kitchenware. I was very disappointed to find out that starting this month (December), all sales are final. I was planning on purchasing quilts for a few special Christmas gifts, but was told they won't be able to exchange them if they don't like them. Guess I have to shop only for myself. read more

Woori Mart is an overpriced store. There are a few items that meet budget friendly consumers. I've been to this store more than 10 times and like some of their variety. I was, however, recently appalled because there was an item priced for $1.95 and when I went to the cashier to pay for the item, I inquired if they had more in stock so that I could purchase a bunch of this. The store owner quickly took the item from me and stated that it was incorrectly priced and that if I wanted it, I would need to pay the price of $9.95. Not good business sense! I haven't been back since because of what they did to me. I may go back, it depends on my need for financial punishment. read more

Far exceeds prices in Korea but then again you don't pay for handling and shipping. Every container and/or kitchen utensil, toiletries and bedroom item you need. The blankets are BEAUTIFUL! Some are garish and loud but you can find pristine, tasteful, elegant blankets if you have the time and wallet for it. On a budget? Start with stainless steel chopsticks which keep icy cold noodles, cold while you slurp! It's a start and if people tell you they're hard to use, get a grip! (Literally.). A great shop for hard to find household items! I was in search of a tiny garbage pail for my kitchen counter. When my item isn't at bed bath beyond, then Woori mart is one of the shops that might carry those hard to find items. I also found a small hanging rack for undergarments and stockings. The quality is much better than what you would find at Walmart, Kmart, or longs drugs and there is a ton of variety such as shape, color, sizes, etc.. Usually I get my blankets directly from Korea but this store has a great for blankets and old grandma style ground sleeping cotton mats you can fold. I like this over futon because the design are beautiful,the fabric is soft, and it doesn't rip apart easily like the futon. I also like woori mart because they have cute pillows and soft floor cushion mats for my son to play on. read more

I LOVE this place! Where else can you get a rice scoop that you can actually give as a gift? (My girlfriend LOVED it!) I didn't think that the prices were out of line. Was looking for cheap gift bag fillers for the class for Christmas or birthday- like cute notebook, pencils, pens, ruler, pencil pouch. This is NOT the store to go to for dollar stuff, I thought it was a dollar store since its windows were stacked with a rainbow color plastics, this used to be the old Acura car dealer near the Beretania Foodland. There is not a dollar worth of stationary or any cheap stuff for kids, more like expensive plastic containers, gadgets, heavy comforters for the kids and adults. Too bad, with the Marukai store closing in Windward Mall, unsure where I can find goody bag filler for kids, Price Busters is the same old stuff and Party City is no different... The blankets are so great! They're quilted but super light and comfortable and most are 100% cotton and washable. They also have a ton of Korean kitchen stuff, including aluminum and dolsut pots, dish drainers (2 tiers - great for small spaces), and a large assortment of food storage containers. Amazingly un-American. Just stopped in to buy some holiday gifts. Their December policy is that there is unequivocally no returns-no exchanges. Discrimination! Life in South Korea was extremely difficult for mixed-race individuals, I look more white and Koreans have always made a point I am an outcast. If I was to speak the Korean language I would of got a red carpet treatment, but they already judged me as white and didn't even careless to make me feel welcome in their store. Very disapointed with their customer service where I was in the store looking at things that reminded me of my mother's land, every one else who look pure korean was greeted, reminded me how it was growing up in Korea, now here in the USA! My friend who is pure white wanted to purchase many products as I wanted to as well, but I left and discouraged my friend to do so, she never saw me so sad, I don't ever want to feel this past-pain, hurtful memories, ever again! I love my mother, and taught english in korean colleges, if I shared I know I wouldve got the Korean high class society treatment, tired of it, I am a customer, stayed muted and observed only to have me shiver with PTSD, I am 50 yrs old, stunts my heart, it's still exist! read more
