The prices are very good compared to other restaurants and it always makes you want to come back. Surprised it isn't more known then it should be.

Thank you to my past coworker for showing me Shabu Time! This place is such a gem! I've been on a…read morehot pot kick recently, and I would say Shabu Time is one of the top places for me to go to for a hearty meal, good drinks, and good vibes. - I tried the Tonkotsu non spicy, Miso spicy broth and they are not too salty at all! My taste buds loved it! What's really great is that if you mix the broths together.. you have your own unique broth! Perfection! - The veggies and rice/ noodles come with the meat and broth that you order! Veggies come with cabbage, spinach, squash, and carrots, and tofu. Their menu has additional add ons! I typically go for the fish balls, tofu, and quail eggs! I didn't think it would be a large amount but it sure was! -THE MEAT!! OH! you can tell the quality of this meat is up there! it's not underwhelming thin- in fact you taste that meaty fatty flavor! I go for the Toro belly and the kobe beef! I have yet to come back and try other meats tho. And i definitely will be back ;) - Drink vibes? oooh i love me some Yuzu! The server even mentioned a Yuzumosa which I will definitely come back again for - The service was really friendly and attended to us throughout our lunch/ dinner. Customer service is A1! Overall, despite this place not being AYCE- this will fill you up! My partner and coworker got 2 large size meat and it rounded to a total of $85. Not too shabby, or I should say- "It's Shabu Time!"

Love Yifang tea so was excited to try Maymay's in the same building…read more Hands down .. no complaints . Everything was delicious ! And portions are huge ! My personal favorites were the mango sago and the pork adobo. I grabbed a bunch of onigiris to go and we even ordered more food to go. The mango sticky rice drink goes as well as you can expect with sticky rice trying to be sucked through a straw , but nonetheless delicious . By the time I got to the bingsu I barely had room I was so full. Same owners as Yifang, Super nice couple. Everything was clean. We carried my baby's stroller up the stairs when we got there and they told us about the side ramp so we didn't have to carry him out again which was considerate and thoughtful . Hoping to come back again soon for some more mango sago!

I've had this spot on my list for a while and was happy to see Filipino cuisine in Walnut Creek. I…read moreactually tried contacting them multiple times via social media and via email to see if they could cater or if I could order dessert in bulk for a party back in January and never got a response. Even with that said, I still wanted to support. My mom and I wanted something quick and filling but didn't want burgers or tacos in the area so we decided to finally try Maymay's. I didn't realize it shared the same space as Yi Fang, so keep in mind it really is a place to snack and not dine. I read someone saying they had the best sinigang and adobo so I had to try it. I ordered one chicken adobo and one pork adobo. The girl who rang me up told me I would be called when my order was ready. She was preparing the rice and another male employee came out and was packing the meat and left it on the counter. She asked why he packed 2 pork adobos and his response was enough for me to not want to come back. He had a NASTY attitude and smart remark, he basically said it was obviously not the same and that he knows how to read the ticket and it honestly just made me feel hella awkward for the girl because of the way he talked to her. She seemed like she shook it off and then proceeded to tie the bag of my order. She then asked him if he wanted her to transfer the adobo he brought out in a pot from the back and he didn't respond. She then left my order on the counter without saying anything and started transferring the food anyway. So now I'm like.............. is my order ready or nah? I made my niece ask cus it was hella awkward and before that whole encounter another employee just started her shift. She was also the one who responded and was handing me my order and reading her face you could tell she also felt awkward about the situation and apologized. After the man left I asked the girl who rang me up if they were related or if he was just rude af and she said that they were and that it was her brother in law and the other girl mentioned he was the owner/boss. Regardless of being related or not I wouldn't want to work in an environment like that. What made it even worse was the food wasn't even that great lol. I'm sure there aren't a lot of people in Walnut Creek that know what adobo is supposed to taste like. When my mom and I took a bite my mom literally said "why is it like this?" Before I could even get a word out LOL but I was thinking the SAME thing. The adobo was HELLA sweet. It didn't have that savory and tangy flavor it's known for. There was no sour/salty/garlic coming through it seemed like just sugary meat like bad teriyaki... it was weird. The portions are decent but it doesn't matter if it's not getting eaten. Ugh, I just hate wasting food and I paid $18 each. Also a lot of the bowls were taken up by 3 hard boiled eggs. My daughter who has a sweet tooth on the other hand didn't complain but what 3 year old doesn't love sugar lol. My experience and the food was disappointing. I wouldn't come back unless it was for Yi Fang.
