    7. Vegetable Samosa 9. Vegetable Bhajis

DELICIOUS FOOD!! GREAT PRICES!!! Our waiter was so knowledgeable of the menu and so kind. The Vegetable Samosa and Vegetable Bhajis (pictured) were 11/10. Great portions to share as well. MUST GO!!

    This is their Veg Thali.

This is one of those underappreciated somewhat unknown place in a resendential neighborhood that only people living there would be aware of. It is a small family owned restaurant and has been affected by Covid-19. I've been here only twice but the food has never disappointed. They have crispy dosas and their idlis are like fluffy white clouds of deliciousness. I have also tried their Thali which is a full meal consisting of roti (bread) which is freshly made and soft, rice and a assortment of 2 sabjis, rasam, sambar, raita , a sweet which was gulab jamun and pickles (achar).

Their chole bhatture are super good too. Everything else is very overpriced for the portions and is not worth it. The biryani costs more than the Biryani from my fav join in downtown Baltimore and is a lot less in portion size. Keep in mind this location is not anywhere nice or close to being that busy. They recently renovated and its nice but their service is just awful. They forget to bring out stuff you ordered and in the end will make you wait for the things they forgot to make. Do not go here unless you have lots of time. It takes really long for the food to come out even when the restaurant isnt at all busy. They seem to prioritize take out orders. They mess up orders a lot also. I've had this experience with them a few times and would not recommend this spot just based on how bad the service is.

Perfectly crisp, perfectly seasoned, and the potato filling is so good it honestly ruins other dosas for me. My usual order is the chicken vindaloo, which thats the perfect spicy-tangy balance to pair with my dosa. The sauce is spicy and bold, and the amount of chicken they give you is no joke huge, tender pieces every time. It's consistently delicious. I normally get everything via delivery, and it always arrives hot, fresh, and packaged with care. Definitely a must try indian spot for biriyani and dosas!

Being a…read morefirst-timer here, I ordered my usual litmus test dishes of chicken tikka masala and saag paneer (the classics), along with goat kolhapuri, butter chicken, and accompaniments of garlic naan and mango lassi. The chicken lollipop appetizer arrived looking the part - hot, crispy, and slightly zesty - but unfortunately didn't deliver on its visual promise. The dough was too thick and the meat rather rubbery, so the execution wasn't up to par. The mains, however, were redeeming. The gravy in the chicken tikka masala was delectable, and we enjoyed this as well as the kholapuri (which we asked for "extra spicy" but was just medium spicy to me - I'm sure others would disagree lol). My child loved his butter chicken. Both dishes featured substantial chunks of chicken. The saag paneer deserves to be mentioned for having a rough-chopped texture that I prefer, looking like actual spinach and not the zealously over-puréed green smoothie so many Indian restaurants inexplicably trot out. A touch over-salted, but otherwise tasty, and with an abundance of paneer. The lassi and garlic naan were both great. Portions are generous, and it's BYOB. Should you forget to bring something inebriating, a liquor shop is conveniently located just a couple of doors down. Owner/manager Austin is so welcoming and personable, earning this place extra hospitality points. I appreciate a business operator who is attentive to customers and shows genuine interest and concern. It makes a difference.

Although we were the only diners at the time, the phone rang nonstop with takeout orders--a clear sign of how popular this place is. The food was absolutely magnificent, and I'm so glad we chose this spot. I started with the butternut squash soup, which was divine. They give you a full bowl, and it was so satisfying I almost didn't need a main course. My sister had the lentil soup, which was equally delicious, with a bright, lemony flavor that really stood out. My aunt ordered the chicken samosas and loved them. Watching my Aunt Daisy enjoy Indian food was honestly hilarious--this is a woman who usually sticks to rice, beans, and steak, yet she couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it. For my entrée, I had the butter chicken: incredibly tender, with a creamy yet light sauce--absolutely delicious. My aunt and sister both had the shrimp tikka, which was a total triumph. My cousin Mercy ordered the chicken tikka and loved hers just as much. Our waiter was incredibly sweet, helpful, and patient, explaining the dishes and even taking a photo for us. We'll definitely be back when we have more time and don't have to rush out. This place is a gem.

As with the lamb which was very tender, both curries were perfectly cooked and had the perfect balance of flavor, spice, and texture. Both curries came with basmati rice, which was just right.

Its topped with fresh chopped onions, tomato, and cilantro. There's plenty of chicken in it. The platter itself is very small for the price, just a heads up. The aloo parathas are my go to. I've tried the one with the meat and the meat was inconsistently placed throughout the paratha. The aloo paratha is good, but could use more filling. Here's where they lost me: the raita- that yogurt sauce that comes with the paratha- is ALWAYS inconsistent. The first time I ordered the paratha this raita was the best i've ever had. It was raita with added tomato and onions. Blew my mind and I ordered it again. Next time they give me a yogurty mess that I wouldn't call a raita. No added anything. The time after that they forgot to include my raita and when I picked it up later, it was another disappointing variation. I've stopped ordering their parathas because of this since I cant eat dry partha by itself and who knows what kind of raita they'll give me. Overall, I continue to get platters from them because they're within walking distance for me and the CTM rice platter is so good.

It was Bengali and Maithili new year and just like we follow the tradition back in India (means eating outside), we decided to come here with our little family. The restaurant is bigger than Praana and feels more like a fine dining place. The ambience looks nice with an Indian theme. Since it was a weekday, it was not very crowded, which was good. And surprisingly, Uma was our server again--she even recognized us What we ordered: *Lamb Pepper Fry (4.5/5): Usually this dish is served dry in most places, but here it came with a little gravy. immediately I ordered garlic naan with it, and it tasted really good together. Even though I prefer it dry, this was the best dish we had. *Tawa Fish Fry (3.5/5): It was basically fried tilapia. Tasted okay, nothing special. * Chef's Special Masala Roast (Lamb): Many people seem to like this dish, but for me it was just average. The presentation was nice. It comes with a small portion of masala rice, which was actually tasty--I just wish there was more of it. Overall, the lamb gravy felt quite normal and not something special. While eating, I told Uma that in Praana there was at least one dish that really stood out, but here I didn't feel that. I would probably go back to Praana again, especially for the Meen Pollichath (Pompano fish), which I really liked. Overall 3.5/5
