Went on a Saturday and they were really busy but that didn't stop them from finding someone to take care of us right away (we did not even call ahead). They let us check out the pre-finished/serviced vehicles first in case there was something there that caught our eye. Throughout our time there, they had no issue in letting us test drive 3 vehicles. At the end of the day, we chose the beautiful 2016 VW Passat SE to take home with no pressure from the salesmen who they do not pay commission (which will not allow them to pressure you for the higher priced decision). We felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. Lounge area was very comfortable as well, complete with FREE soda, snacks and subs. Our experience here was one of a kind and you will have to look HARD to find anywhere else. Summary: -NO PRESSURE SALES -You can view the lot unbothered! -Salesmen are not paid on commission -Clean, comfortable lounging area complete with free snacks and soda

I would highly recommend NOT buying a car from Rocky Ridge Auto. This was my first and last time…read morebuying a car from them. I went there on Dec. 2025 with my son to buy his first car. A 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE. He paid for the car and what was to be 2 working key fobs. The one key fob works, however the other one doesn't. Our salesman Chase along with 2 others, were trying to get the key fob to work. They changed the battery which didn't help. I can't recall who said it, but one of them said, it probably just needs to be programmed and if you take it to the Mitsubishi dealer, they should be able to do that for you. We went to the Mitsubishi dealer on 12/31/25. After about 30 min of the technician trying to get it programmed in which he couldn't, he found the key fob is a knock off/3rd party and doesn't go with that car. The Mitsubishi technician said it'll be $463.71 for them to replace it. He said he would suggest going back to the dealer where we bought the car and letting them know that this key fob is a knock off/3rd party and doesn't go with the car and how much it would be to replace it. I text Chase letting him know what the dealer said. I was going back and forth with Chase from Jan. 3 until April 9 in which there was about 2 months that I haven't heard from him and had to reach out. He continually told me it's not their policy to replace parts. I told him. "If I sell you a $1000 watch and you take it to a jeweler who says this is a $100 knockoff watch from Walmart, you're going to want that $1000 watch. I can't say, we'll that's what they shipped me. I just sell what I get." He said their locksmith can replace it. I called their locksmith who said he can replace it for $280 and have it done by 4/10 or 4/13 the latest and Rocky Ridge told him I'll be paying for it. Needless to say I haven't heard back from him either. April 9, 2026 - I called and spoke with Travis. I told him the situation. I told him what the Mitsubishi dealer is charging as well as their locksmith. I then said, I don't understand, how a buyer can purchase a car from you with a faulty key fob and you guys pretty much just wash your hands once the car is off the lot. I gave him the exact same example as I told Chase. "If I sell you a $1000 watch and you take it to a jeweler who says this is a $100 knockoff watch from Walmart, you're going to want that $1000 watch. I can't say, we'll that's what they shipped me. I just sell what I get." He said well it's not just that cut and dry. He said he'll talk to the owner and get back to me. He said Chase has your number is that correct. I said yes and I can give it to you as well which I did. As of today 4/22/26 I still have not heard back from anyone. Travis, Chase, their locksmith, etc. I'm not sure how it's just not that cut and dry as Travis has stated. Anyone that purchases anything is going to want what they purchase. Not pay over $13,000 for a car only to be told I'll have to pay a few hundred more to get a key fob replaced because they failed to test it when they received the car. They obviously knew the key fob didn't work because they tried it while we were there and just assumed it needed to be programmed which it didn't. I would highly recommend to NEVER go here to buy a car. From the outside it looks like a legit dealership, but the way they work seems shady. It seems that they don't bother testing or looking vehicles over. They get them in and put them right on the lot. Whatever works, works and whatever doesn't, doesn't. If the buyer finds out later on something is defective or doesn't work, they just wash their hands and move on. Their communication is next to none. You will never hear back from anyone unless you keep up on them. It was months that went by and I hadn't heard anything. I continually had to reach out. Bottom line is their all about money and could care less about their customers or customer service. My son is just going to suck it up and get one for $463 from the dealer.

That's just smart economics) and we were out within an hour. Many vehicles to choose from. Definitely take a look.

To Summarize, the next time we are looking for a car I will likely reach out to Conestoga Motors…read morefirst. Visited and called multiple dealers prior to dealing with Conestoga and had less than ideal experiences. No pressure, easy to deal with and really seem to take care of you. Up front with their paperwork fee which was an acceptable amount unlike another dealership that sprung a $4k 'fee' on us. After agreeing to the purchase but before paying I mentioned a small vibration when driving. They took the car in and balances the wheels for us. Before we picked it up they detailed it again. Had an issue with the second key, called and talked to them about it and they suggested contacting the manufacturer and Conestoga would cover any replacement needed. Ended up just being a mixup and they made it right but it was reassuring for them to say they would make it right with no hesitation. A+, great people and would deal with them again.

Writing a review for a used car dealership is a lot different than yelping about a cup of coffee…read more It's like writing the reviews $15,000 worth of cups of coffee. Don't get to do it everyday, but boy, such a review should carry some weight! After trying to negotiate on a used 2009 GTI at Autohaus, I found the identical car- with frighteningly identical mileage- for sale at Conestoga. A friend had spoken highly of Conestoga, so I went out to drive it with no reservations. Mel was fantastic in letting me take the car for a few test drives, including one to my mechanic, who gave the car an enthusiastic "thumbs up", with the comment that there are few dealers in Ephrata who he would be unafraid to purchase from, and Conestoga Motors was one of them. Two days later, the car is in my driveway. Throughout the process, Mel worked on me with a few minor issues. More importantly, Mel showed sincerity in standing behind his car, and I have no doubt that he will resolve any issues that crop up with it. As he told me, "we don't see ourselves as used car salesmen...we are men who have cars to sell". Yes. The price was extremely fair...much better than the cost of the evil twin at Autohaus by over $1500, and was a "great price" rating according to cargurus.com. I would have absolutely no reservations in going back for future purchases. Thanks, Mel.
